Chapter 76 - Chapter 75

Brain Overload!

In an instant, a torrent of dense information flooded into Hanzo's mind.

His body stiffened.

Just for a heartbeat—

But that was enough.

"Now!" Sakumo Hatake's eyes sharpened. It worked!

He moved without hesitation. His blade slashed across Hanzo's waist, then followed up instantly, aiming straight for his neck!

"Don't you dare!" Hanzo roared. "You will NOT shake a warrior's will!"

Rage exploded from him like a storm.

ERROR 0x80070005 — ACCESS DENIEDTarget 'Hanzo' requires administrator privileges.

What!?

Hiroki's heart lurched.

Before he could react, Hanzo kicked him away with brutal force. At the same time, the chain attached to Hanzo's scythe snapped forward, wrapping tightly around Sakumo's short blade.

Sakumo released it instantly and retreated.

"Water Release: Turbulent Rain!"

Hanzo formed seals. Needle-thin raindrops shot down like a storm of senbon, filling the air.

But everyone present was a jonin.

Not a single one was hit.

"Water Clone Jutsu!"

"Summoning Release!"

"He's escaping!" Sakumo shouted. "Stop him!"

"It's his poison sac!" Hiroki yelled. "It's ruptured! He's about to enter paralysis!"

"Chase him!" Orochimaru barked.

Hanzo glanced back.

That brat…

A child—no more than ten years old. Thin build, sharp features, but nothing extraordinary. Still unmistakably a kid.

And yet—

This child had been their trump card.

Absurd.

That was Hanzo's first thought.

But then—

His head throbbed.

For a moment, countless chaotic thoughts surged through his mind. Hanzo had faced countless battles, but he couldn't remember the last time something like this had happened.

His blade felt… dull.

Years ago, he had told Mifune the same thing when he spared him.

Now my own blade has dulled? Against a child?

Impossible.

After kicking Hiroki away, the mental chaos vanished.

So that was it.

A bloodline limit?

Or some kind of contact-based mental technique—similar to the Yamanaka clan's jutsu.

One that ignored strength and directly interfered with the mind.

Hanzo clenched his teeth and fled toward the Hidden Rain Village.

His poison sac was damaged. Even he couldn't resist its venom.

If he stayed, he would die.

For the first time in years—

Hanzo felt fear.

But it vanished just as quickly.

This must be that brat's influence.

He was Hanzo.

The man who sought peace in the ninja world.

He glanced back once more.

The Konoha forces were chasing, slower than him—but there were too many tracking methods. Shaking them off completely would be difficult.

He had to warn the village.

"It failed…" Hiroki muttered.

It was his first time experiencing this.

Brain Overload activated—but collapsed almost instantly.

"No," Sakumo said calmly. "It worked. You did your job."

"We wounded him badly enough to force a retreat."

"You said I ruptured his poison sac?" Sakumo asked. "What does that mean?"

Hiroki answered quickly. "In the Hidden Rain, there's a black salamander with extreme poison. After it died, its poison gland was implanted into Hanzo."

"That's why he's resistant to toxins."

"But if it ruptures—"

"Even Hanzo can't endure it."

"He won't die immediately, but his body will be paralyzed."

"I see." Sakumo nodded, not questioning how Hiroki knew.

In the ninja world, bloodline limits came in all forms.

As long as Hiroki was an ally, nothing else mattered.

But Hiroki wasn't relieved.

Hanzo had resisted Brain Overload.

Did that mean sheer willpower could counter it?

Or was it because of the poison sac damage?

Either possibility was terrifying.

So my ability isn't absolute…

Hiroki clenched his jaw.

The ground exploded beneath his feet as he used Tsunade's monstrous strength to keep pace with the pursuit.

Up front, Aburame insects scouted rapidly.

"Found him! His position stopped changing!"

Hidden Rain Village

"Hurry! Lord Hanzo is injured!"

"Where are the medics?!"

"No need! I've already taken the antidote!"

Hanzo stood straight despite the pain.

"Listen carefully. Every word matters."

"In the Konoha team, there's a black-haired boy—about ten years old. Thin, sharp features."

"That child possesses a special ability."

"Bloodline limit. Or secret technique."

"As long as he touches you—your thoughts will spiral out of control."

"Never let him touch you."

"Even if you must take injuries—avoid contact at all costs."

"I'll hold them off."

"You are NOT to interfere."

"If you're in danger—run."

"Don't die for nothing."

"There are also three exceptionally dangerous young ninjas."

"They call them the Sannin."

"If you encounter them—retreat."

"The Land of Rain will rise again."

"One day… the ninja world will know peace."

"Now go."

"The jonin stay with me."

"I'll face them."
