Rosalyn stood at the front. Balancing her tailored top hat with rose design.
"We'll begin with volunteers. Who wants to argue in favor of Psion supremacy?"
Supremacy? Kyrie crossed his hand while he watched.
A Vishian student near the front raised his hand. "Speak," Rosalyn instructed.
He stood with chin lifted slightly.
"We have power. Non-psions do not. Strength defines hierarchy. Why restrain ourselves when no one can stop us?"
Some Vishian students nodded.Their ears twitching. Strians shifted uncomfortably.
Milo listened, thoughtful. The argument felt dangerous. It wasn't a feeling, it was definitely dangerous.
If only I didn't have this problem, he thought, glancing at his empty bag. It was an interesting line of thought and would be more, if only his stomach didn't feel like it was eating him up from the inside out.
Allen's voice cut through the murmurs.
"And what happens when that power is abused?"
