This must be hell.
Unthinkable hoards of bloodhound wolves gathered around me.
"Who do you think that you are!? Let me out now!! I'll kill you, my father will kill you! Stop this now!!"
My nails started to peel off its nailbed, leaving a fresh trail of blood on the walls as I clawed at the walls.
The disgusting monster stared down at me with a look of contempt, and said: "You haven't experienced failure in your life, have you?"
"This is where you end."
"And for your father, his head hangs in the town square, being at the centre of all the empires scorn."
He adjusts his gloves and speaks as nonchalantly as one can be, before deciding there was nothing more to be said and turning around. Footsteps become fainted and all I can see is his back slowly receding into the distance.
My voice is so hoarse that whatever comes out next sounds like a horrific garbled cacophony of screeches. "Don't lie to me! The house of Garcia is the backbone of this fucking nation!"
But I was just arguing with the wall.
The wild beasts had already clung to me, actively clawing and chowing down. There were no words to describe the pain of being eaten alive, torn from limb to limb while fully conscious.
My one solace was the embrace of death. As my consciousness flickered for the final time, I felt a wave of relief taking over me.
…
….
'Hm?'
'I was going to die but then..'
Fluttering my eyes lightly, I try to make sense of my surroundings.
A comforting yellow light abounds my laden body, and I notice that my limbs have healed, replaced by a permeating soreness. The blood had dried, and I can only guess how much time has passed since I blacked out.
Getting up quickly, I almost lose my footing from the soreness in my legs. Squinting my eyes, I make sense of my surroundings.
"I'm not in that dingy room anymore…?"
How could this be?
And the bloodhound wolves were nowhere in sight!
Regardless, this was nothing short of a miracle, and I better make use of it although I don't understand what went down.
Towering ozempic trees (skinny trees) surround me, and the sky was still its' nightmarish shade of dark and amber.
Deciding that moving would be better than staying still, I begin moving through the forest, treading carefully in hopes of expanding what I know of this place.
The unending night continues to trap me in its veil. I get up on my legs this time and make chase for the trees. I run and run until I stumble on the dense tree roots, falling flat on my face in the muddy undergrowth.
"Hic.. hmf…" I try to choke back the uncontrollable sobs that force themselves through, crumpling down where I was.
I feel so small, and so helpless. For the first time in my life, absolutely nothing was in my control, and everything was going so horribly wrong. I find myself doubting my family's survival beyond these walls, because I wouldn't put it anywhere past that batshit insane fucker to wipe all of them off the face of the planet if he so wanted.
