Chapter 2: I Am an Evil God
Upon touching the Light surrounding the stone, the man's soul began to melt like a wax figure. A look of pain appeared on his face, and his eyes suddenly regained clarity.
"Please, let me go! Let me go!"
Noticing his predicament, the man began to beg.
Su Yun didn't even understand his own situation, so how could he possibly have the ability to save the man in front of him?
Seeing that begging was useless, the man's soul began to curse him vehemently.
"Damn you, Evil God! May you die a horrible death!"
"The great God of Ice will avenge me! Just wait for the retaliation from our Tribe!"
His expression was twisted and deranged.
Hearing the words 'God of Ice', Su Yun's heart tightened, and he became cautious, about to say something.
However, before he could ask, the man completely dissolved amidst a piercing scream.
Su Yun: "…"
The man's soul was transformed by the Light into a wisp of inexplicable transparent substance, which then instantly floated to the surface of the stone and vanished.
The Light on the white stone pulsed slightly at that moment.
The surrounding Primitive People were first startled, then burst into thunderous cheers.
In their eyes, this was clearly a sign that the God had accepted their sacrifice, and perhaps was even very pleased with it.
Su Yun felt as if he had absorbed that substance. A cool sensation spread through him, making his entire body feel comfortable.
At the same time, fragmented memories abruptly appeared, rapidly unfolding in his mind.
This Primitive Person was called Heishi, and he was from a Tribe called the Ice Tribe.
A few days ago, he was ordered to go out and explore, but he encountered a powerful exotic beast attack. Luckily, the man escaped to a nearby area and inadvertently discovered this small Tribe of a few hundred people.
At that time, his heart was filled with joy. As long as he reported this news to the Tribe, and the Tribe sent people to conquer this small Tribe, he would definitely be rewarded!
However, in his immense excitement, he was careless and ended up being discovered. The people of this small Tribe caught him red-handed.
Then, before he could think of a way to escape, the scene from just now occurred: he was sacrificed to an Evil God!
"Evil God, is he talking about me?"
Su Yun's heart stirred, half-surprised and half-doubtful, "Am I really a God?"
He had initially been somewhat confused about the identity of a God, but now even this outsider thought so…
Su Yun suddenly felt both excited and flustered.
He was excited because if it was truly as he thought, then being a God represented power and eternal life!
Who wouldn't be excited if they suddenly became a God?
The fluster, however, was due to several questions immediately echoing in his mind.
How did I transmigrate?
And how did I become a God?
Becoming a God only made Su Yun happy for a moment. He quickly calmed down; he couldn't rest easy until he figured out these questions.
Moreover, now was not the time to be happy.
From this person's memories, that Ice Tribe was very large, with a population of about two thousand people!
Compared to his own small Tribe of a few hundred people, it was truly pitifully meager.
Most importantly, he discovered from this person's memories that this Tribe actually had a God!
"God of Ice?"
Su Yun felt a sense of foreboding. Regardless of the Tribe's population or the time of becoming a God, if a fight broke out, he didn't think his small Tribe of a few hundred people and himself would have any chance of winning.
However, even ants cling to life, let alone him, who had encountered such an opportunity. Su Yun's mind quickly began to churn.
"The most important thing now is to understand my own situation. If I really am a God, I should have divine power, right?"
He carefully began to sense the condition of his body.
In a vast, white space, a figure completely enveloped in Light, whose form was indistinct, suddenly opened his eyes.
…
While Su Yun was sensing his body, about a dozen kilometers east of the Tribe, inside a very populous Tribe.
"Hmm?"
"One of my true Believers has died?!"
The middle-aged man frowned and looked up in a certain direction.
A thread of faith from a Believer had broken!
"The distance is a bit far. Was it someone exploring outside?"
The middle-aged man looked puzzled, not understanding why that Believer would go to that location, or even die there.
He pondered for a moment and considered sending someone to investigate.
Out of boredom and curiosity, he wanted to understand how that Believer had died.
Perhaps there would be some unexpected gain.
Through the thread of faith, a message was sent to the Tribe's priest.
…
Su Yun surveyed the vast, white space.
This space was very small, about four or five square meters. The surrounding walls were pure white, and some Light floated in the air.
Su Yun looked down at his hand. The Light around his body did not obstruct his vision; he could easily see the appearance of his hand.
His hand was pure white, delicate, perfect, yet not lacking in masculinity, like the most perfect thing in the world. There was not a single flaw on it, but it was somewhat transparent, as if not solid.
Even so, he himself was stunned when he saw it.
"Is this my hand?"
Su Yun marveled.
If his hand was like this, then what did he look like now?
Just thinking about it gave him a faint guess, but unfortunately, there were no mirrors here, so he couldn't see what he looked like.
Without dwelling on his appearance, Su Yun closed his eyes and sensed the interior of this body.
A surging power was immediately perceived by him. With a thought, he instinctively mobilized the power within his body.
Su Yun opened his eyes, and a soft Light glowed in his raised hand.
He then waved his hand, and the ball of Light was sent out.
The moment it approached the white wall, his heart stirred, and the ball of Light immediately dissipated, not actually hitting the wall.
"I wonder what its power is like?" Su Yun murmured to himself.
Without a test subject, he couldn't figure out the strength of this attack.
"Besides this power, I also seem to have sensed a strange thing."
He then sank his consciousness into his body.
In a pure white space, a spherical, nine-faceted, diamond-like, half-crimson, half-transparent crystal was quietly floating in the center of the space.
Numerous faint lines were densely connected to this crystal, and some liquid seemed to be flowing within the crystal.
Su Yun seemed to have transformed into this crystal, and his perspective changed, allowing him to see everything within this space clearly.
At the same time, a word inexplicably arose in his mind regarding this crystal.
'Divinity'!
