Chapter 103 - Episode 102: Even a Child is a Girl

"Yohei-kun, do you mean booking?"

Hime seems to be most concerned about that.

Of course, we didn't make two plans to hang out.

"Due to my sister's work schedule, I had to take care of her at short notice... I contacted Hime about an hour ago, but perhaps she hasn't seen it?"

"Huh? Ah, wait a moment. I'll check."

Hime said as she took out her smartphone from her pouch.

She turned it on and checked to see if she had received a message from me. It seems she hadn't noticed after all.

"Is that so... I'm sorry, I overlooked your message."

"No, no. I contacted you at the last minute too... sorry."

I could have made the decision a little earlier.

It was my fault for hesitating and delaying my decision. There's no need for Hime to apologize.

"I'm sorry I came too early... I was so excited, I couldn't wait and ended up arriving an hour early."

 It was bad timing.

Because of that, Hime and Shinyo ended up running into each other like this.

"...Yo-chan, why don't you come in for now?"

He probably couldn't bear to see us standing there chatting.

Shinyo turned away but advised me to invite Hime inside.

(Huh? So it's not like he hates Hime...?)

I was worried that he might become more aggressive, but so far he just seems to be grumpy and not showing any hostility towards Hime.

Shinyo-chan is just as jealous as her sister... or perhaps it would be more appropriate to say she's jealous at her age. Compared to her sister's obsession, she's quite adorable. I sometimes feel a bit sorry for her brother-in-law, but that's beside the point.

"Hime, please come in. Let's start in the living room..."

"No way. I'd rather stay in my room. The air conditioner is on."

 Oh, that's fine.

I thought Shinyo might not like it, so I thought of letting her in the living room, but it takes a while for the air conditioning to work, and Shinyo seems concerned about that.

(I wonder if they can understand each other?)

Although I had such hopes, Shinyo turned out to be not such an easy girl.

"Excuse me for interrupting."

I carefully lined up her shoes and guided her to my room.

It was just after Shinyo-chan joined us and the three of us were together.

"So, can you explain?"

 Shinyo-chan came in tight.

His eyes were fixed on me, as if to say that there was no way he would forgive me after just that brief introduction.

The sharpness of her gaze reminded me of my sister when she was a student. It's scary...!

"Yo-chan, who is this woman?"

"Yohei-kun... who is that child?"

--And the scene returns to the beginning.

We exchanged names at the entrance, but I knew that what we were asking about wasn't a profile.

These kids seemed to want to know my relationship with them...or more specifically, the depth of our friendship.

"P-Peace you two...!"

For now, I try to calm him down.

However, it seemed I was wrong. Instead, Shinyo raised her voice, as if to heat up the situation.

"Yo-chan, what do you mean? Was Koharu just a game?"

"I see... so you're saying I was just a game to you?"

 What is a playful relationship?

To begin with, they're not even dating, and they're both children!

There are a lot of things to point out.

However, I was so shocked by their fierceness that I couldn't say anything.

"Explain it! Tell Koharu properly!"

"I'd like to know too. What kind of relationship does Yohei-kun have with her?"

...Even though they may be small, they are both definitely "girls."

I felt like a boyfriend who had been found out to be cheating, and I didn't know what to do.
