Chapter 32 - Acquiring the second essence

After the students moved to their random positions, the wind began to howl through the vast forest, as if signaling the start of the battle. Saruto paused at a rocky ledge, his mind focused on the mental map he had drawn, calculating every move of his opponent.

An hour passed as they were lost in this world when Saruto noticed a swift movement among the trees. It was the Wind Heir, his body moving with incredible agility and speed, his eyes filled with defiance. He appeared before Saruto.

"Hello, commoner… You think you can take my jewel? Go ahead and try, but I won't let you," the Wind Heir said, releasing an aura of wind-powered air. Powerful waves surged around him, pushing everything in his path.

Saruto smiled faintly and said to himself, "Okay, we'll see about that."

With measured steps, Saruto began to move among the trees and rocks, observing the Wind Heir's movements and his methods of using energy. He knew facing Kyle wouldn't be easy. Kyle was a shrewd analyst, and he hadn't seen any of Kyle's skills, unlike Kyle, who had seen him fight many times. Even a single match against Kyle would leave him with little energy.

"This round won't be easy," Saruto muttered, then suddenly used his teleportation skill to change position, surprising the Wind Heir.

The Wind Heir reacted swiftly, creating a small vortex of air around himself, trying to block Saruto. But Saruto skillfully dodged, mimicking the flow of wind with his movements, and avoided his successive attacks.

The exchanges began to escalate. Each strike from the Wind Heir created a wave of air that hurled the ground and trees, while Saruto countered with his two swords, holding his ground.

"Looks like you're used to my styles," the Wind Heir said with a mocking smile, then launched a surprise attack from behind Saruto, trying to break through his defense.

With strength and composure, Saruto sensed the attack from behind him. He surprised the Wind Heir by moving sideways with lightning speed, dodging the blow. Then, he attacked in turn with his double sword, crossing with the wind to form a counterattack the Wind Heir couldn't fully anticipate.

After several rapid exchanges of attacks and dodges, he managed to locate the one hiding the jewel inside Kyle. He landed two blows to Kyle's chin after discovering two gaps in his defense. The Wind Heir slammed to the ground, causing the jewel to fall from his grasp. Saruto caught it, glittering in his hand.

Saruto obtained the second jewel, smiling slightly as he whispered, "Well, I got the jewel."

He looked at the Wind Heir as he tried to rise and said in a calm but firm voice,

"We're not finished yet… The next round will be more challenging."

With the second jewel gathered, the crown began to take shape before Saruto. He placed the two jewels inside and won the competition: Now, to the treasure room.
