Chapter 108 - Chapter 108 Surprise

COM" Moody turned and asked Dumbledore, "Dumbledore, do you have anything else to announce?"

"Indeed, there is a small matter." Dumbledore nodded and strode to the front of the stage again.

"Due to some special reasons, your Care of Magical Creatures teacher, Mr. Hagrid, has been quite busy recently. He will not be staying at Hogwarts during this period. The Care of Magical Creatures class will be suspended for a while this semester and replaced with other courses. I hope you students can adapt as soon as possible." Dumbledore's voice echoed throughout the hall.

"Alright, I've taken up a lot of your time today, and I apologize for that. Now you can go to sleep. I wish you sweet dreams." Dumbledore said in a soothing tone, and this sentence announced the end of the gathering tonight.

Ron's face at the table suddenly turned pale, no longer with the triumphant look he had just had.

"What happened to Hagrid? Was he arrested because of me? Then I've really done the stupidest thing ever. Right, I'm going to find Headmaster Dumbledore and ask him in person. He will definitely help Hagrid. Hagrid is innocent," he thought to himself, then stood up from his seat, went against the flow of the crowded people, and used his still intact arm to laboriously push the others aside, walked to the stage, wanting to ask his headmaster in person what exactly happened, why the Care of Magical Creatures class would be suspended, and what punishment Hagrid would receive for this.

But someone was faster than him.

"Professor, I've checked most of the wizarding laws now. The mistakes Hagrid made are not enough for him to be taken away by the Ministry of Magic. At most, this is a teaching accident, and there are even relevant cases concerning Buckbeak as examples. They are all innocent, and besides, it's not his fault. It's mainly because Ron himself got carried away!" Hermione said with a frown and a look of anxiety. She couldn't accept the ending of Hagrid being really expelled or even going to jail. Actually, before at Ron's window, she had deliberately exaggerated a part in order to make her friend remember the lesson, but what she didn't expect was that her words still came true.

Dumbledore's expression was very peculiar, looking at Hermione, who was biting her lips tightly, with a smile that was not quite a smile.

"Yes, come at me if there's anything, it's completely my fault, that has nothing to do with Hagrid! If anyone should be expelled, it should be me!" Ron's voice suddenly came from behind Hermione, and his intact palm was pounding on his chest, seemingly trying to prove his sincerity.

"What nonsense are you talking about? Have you considered Aunt Molly's feelings when you say these things?" Hermione's head ached even more. Now Ron's interruption would only make the problem more complicated.

"Cough cough." Seeing that the two were about to quarrel again,

Dumbledore coughed lightly, interrupting the possible quarrel.

"Due to an agreement with someone, I cannot tell you the complete information, but I assure you that Hagrid will be fine now and in the future. You don't need to worry." Dumbledore said with a smile.

This made the hearts of the two, which had been hanging in the air, relax slightly and feel relieved. Professor Dumbledore would not deceive his students.

"But besides this reason, I can't find any other reason for Hagrid not to continue teaching." Hermione still asked with some worry, her breathing still a little rapid due to the emotional changes just now, and dense beads of sweat also appeared on the tip of her nose.

"Unfortunately, what I just said is the maximum extent I can reveal to you." Dumbledore shook his head, "Also, Ron and Hermione, I hope that when you go to see Harry later, you can convey the information from tonight's party to him."

"In addition, I hope you can specifically explain to him that he should not expect his clothes to be able to defend against Moody's magical eye. If they are confiscated, I would be embarrassed to ask him to return them." Dumbledore blinked his eyes and emphasized.

"Okay." Hermione nodded heavily, guaranteeing that she would convey the message in place.

"Very good, then you should go back to your dormitories quickly. You've delayed so much time again, which is not very good. Remember not to be late tomorrow morning." This was Dumbledore's last sentence tonight, and then he also dragged his light cyan robe embroidered with star and moon patterns towards the door. The Aurors who came to Hogwarts were not just Moody, and his personal strength, no matter how strong, was limited. He was just a representative. Therefore, he also needed to spend time coordinating and arranging the other Aurors.

Now there were only the two of them left in the hall. Ron and Hermione looked at each other and said nothing.

Just now, they could stand on the same front for Hagrid's sake, but now there was no need. One of them had to give in first, perhaps then they could reconcile again.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Could it be that you've used up all the props you bought last time? How was the quality?"

"You really have a talent for this. How about it, join our team, we will become the most unforgettable prank trio in Hogwarts history."

The twins sang in unison in front of Malfoy, both widening their eyes and looking at him with a smile.

Not long ago, the meeting ended, and the students walked towards their dormitories. Just as the students from each house were about to pass through their forked stairwells, Malfoy stepped in front of the Weasley twins and stopped them, and then the above conversation took place.

"Oh, I suddenly feel like if we made a magical eye like Moody's, it would definitely sell well, Fred, what do you think?"

"Good idea, but how do we solve the materials? Do you have a suitable solution?" Fred immediately snapped his fingers and said briskly.

"Should we try the eyes of an Acromantula first?" George muttered to himself, then quickly rejected it, "No, that might be poisonous. We have to ensure the safety of our customers, and there aren't many sources either. If we go and dismember Hagrid's, we probably won't pass the final exam. Even if he's temporarily busy, the final exam is definitely inevitable."

"Then try..." Fred also raised his own suggestion with a wink. Just as the two brothers were about to start a brainstorming session at the stairwell, a light cough interrupted them.

"Sorry, my friend, we were too focused. You know, we get very excited when we encounter this kind of thing." The twins looked at each other, shrugged at the same time, and then said in unison, expressing their apologies to Malfoy.

"Focus and obsession are prerequisites for making a career. I can certainly understand." Malfoy nodded, indicating that he didn't mind. Then he said, "I'm looking for you today for something else."

"Earplugs!" He waved his wand lightly, and then, except for the three of them, the ears of all the surrounding students were filled with an indistinguishable buzzing sound, but not enough to be noticed.

"A brilliant idea, so we can speak freely even in class." The twins were a little excited when they saw this spell.

"If you can help me, I can teach you this spell, but the purpose of my using the spell just now was to keep the content of our conversation secret."

"What, do you want to cooperate with us to blow up the bathroom on the second floor?" Fred's words blurted out, startling him.

"Merlin's beard, George, you've exposed our plan," George rolled his eyes. "Malfoy, you wouldn't go tattling to Professor McGonagall or Professor Dumbledore, would you?" He looked up at the sky, somewhat displeased that his brother had so readily revealed one of their most secret plans to an outsider.

"Obliviate." Malfoy slumped his shoulders, theatrically raised his wand, pointed it at his head, and dryly recited the spell.

"What were you guys just talking about?" Malfoy now wore a blank, bewildered expression as he looked at the two brothers.

"I must say, your sense of humor is strong; we seriously suspect our position is threatened." George and Fred suppressed their laughter, speaking solemnly.

"Alright, no time for jokes, I really do have something important to ask you guys." Malfoy's expression turned serious, and his tone became formal.

"If we can help, we definitely will." The twins made the promise in unison.

"You've pranked around for so many years, you must be extremely familiar with Hogwarts, can you help me draw a map of Hogwarts?" Malfoy said, trying to sound casual.

The faces of the two, who had been so certain just moments ago, now showed obvious hesitation.

"I know your concerns, but there's no basis for it. He was a Hogwarts student, and Headmaster Dumbledore said not long ago that he's as good at pranking as you are. Perhaps you're more familiar with the place. He successfully infiltrated it last time, and what stopped him wasn't the terrain, but the password."

Almost instantly, the twins thought of Black's problem, but Malfoy dispelled their doubts. Last time, Black almost made it to their dormitory, which, without the help of outsiders, could only mean he was familiar enough with the school himself.

"Alright." The Weasley brothers exchanged a look and could only nod.

"That thing is quite laborious to draw." Fred sighed.

A moment of silence.

"How about we give him 'the thing'?" George said tentatively.

"Isn't that the Christmas present we prepared for Harry?" Fred frowned deeply, somewhat disapproving.

"These days are too sensitive, and didn't you hear Dad say at home that the escaped convict Black's target is Harry? Maybe giving it to him would end up hurting him." George and Fred whispered to each other.

"Anyway, we've memorized it all, we can always take Harry to wander around in person when it's safe in the future, right?" George said. "Don't forget, Malfoy saved Ron—our brother—before. Besides, I think what happened last semester is enough for us to trust him, isn't it?"

"How about we don't tell him how to use it?" Fred whispered.

"That's a good idea." George smiled brightly, looking forward to the expression on the face of the classmate in front of them as he stared blankly at a piece of parchment.

"Let's just take it out on Wood."

"Totally agree!"

"Take it, this is the map." Just as Malfoy was watching the two brothers discuss in low voices, Fred suddenly shook the cuff of his left robe, and the other hand reached over to catch the item that fell out.

It was a somewhat old piece of parchment, but there was nothing written on it.

"This plot device is appearing in the wrong scene." Malfoy felt his temples throbbing. He didn't expect this magical item to appear so unexpectedly before his eyes.

Although it was also a part of his plan, the way to obtain it was not so simple.

"Could it really be that doing good deeds has accumulated good karma?" Malfoy smiled inwardly, but on the surface, he still pretended to be ignorant, even showing a hint of embarrassment on his face: "There's nothing on this? What kind of map is this?"

"My dear friend, then you need to let your imagination run wild. I guarantee that after you learn how to use it, you'll love it."

The twins exchanged knowing glances and chuckled at the same time, probably already starting to imagine Malfoy's frustrated look.

"Alright, I trust you guys." Malfoy said "helplessly", "If there's really no way, then I'll have to come find you again."

"You're welcome anytime." The Weasley brothers changed back to their usual smiling expressions.

"There's one last thing." Malfoy added, "Please help me make a magical doll that looks like a rat, just like your brother's rat. I also have a use for it." As Malfoy spoke, he handed a piece of paper and some glittering gold Galleons from in front of him.

"The eccentricities of the rich." Fred and George shook their heads together, looking at Malfoy with "heartache", clearly disappointed in his pursuits, but still said: "Old customer, we guarantee your satisfaction."

"Hey, aren't those three students going upstairs yet? What are you trying to do?"

"Crap, Filch is going to make things difficult for us again." The twins' expressions changed at the same time.

Filch's footsteps were extremely fast. He walked quickly to the three of them, carrying the dark, greasy chandelier, his bulbous eyes staring intently at the Weasley brothers.

"What are you looking at? Hurry up and hand over the contraband." This was Malfoy's stern voice.

"Huh?" The two brothers only froze for a moment before reacting, tacitly and "obediently" taking out a glass ball from their arms, reflecting a silvery light in the dim light.

"What is this?" Filch asked with a grimace, reaching out his hands to take it.

"You can call it Twin Bangers." The brothers spoke in remarkably unison. "It just looks like an ordinary handicraft." George said casually.

"It usually looks very safe." Fred added. "It's just…" He deliberately dragged out his tone.

Filch curiously looked at the two seemingly "ordinary" toys, and, possessed, began to close his hands, wanting to see what would happen after they collided.

"Don't ever let these two balls touch each other!" The most important words were only now spoken from the twins' mouths.

"Down!"

The warning was obviously too late, or perhaps it was intentional.

The two balls collided with a "bang" .

Merlin's beard, another "disaster" occurred. The huge tremor affected almost all the students, whether they had fallen asleep or not, and they all hurried out of their dormitories one by one.

Then they stretched half of their bodies out of the handrail and saw the Weasley brothers lying on the ground, and Filch standing there, still not reacting.

His face was extremely black, which indicated both his mood and the actual situation.

A thick layer of black ash had already covered his face, coupled with his tattered clothes and ferocious eyes, he looked like a fierce ghost.

"The weather is nice today, it's good to go to bed early." The students who had just rushed out of the dormitory immediately began to act, pretending they hadn't seen anything, muttering some illogical words while looking at the ceiling, and then they all turned around at the same time and slipped into the room.

Just kidding, who would want to face the Filch who was about to be furious.

As for our protagonist? Seeing that the situation was not good, he had already disappeared at the end of the stairs. (To be continued.)
