Unfortunately, I couldn't accept Caleb's offer because I still had to finish my work. I couldn't run away from my responsibilities.
I let go of Caleb's hand, "I'm sorry, I can't go along with your plan. No matter what, I already have a work contract and I have to fulfill it."
"Aria! Don't you understand the danger you're in right now?" Caleb stared at me sharply, not expecting me to reject his proposal.
"Trust me, I'll be fine. They definitely won't dare to do it openly." I tried to convince Caleb to trust me.
Caleb looked reluctant, but he remained silent. I looked at him fearfully.
"As long as you agree to be watched by my subordinates. I won't be able to relax if I leave you alone without any protection," Caleb finally replied, choosing to give me a condition.
"I'll accept anything, as long as you're willing to trust me this once," I replied, nodding my head, not caring what Caleb's decision was.
