Chapter 100 - Entering the Land of the Dead.

My travels continued without issue after the fall of the Zombie Emperor; the other zombies didn't bother me at night. Disappointed about that, but this allowed me to grow my drone army and ammo without worrying about restocking. I doubled my numbers the first day and have been focusing on the ammo for now.

As I need to make up for the increase in drones, I parked on the edge of the wasteland and the Land of the Dead. I looked into the Land of the Dead and noticed a large desert with a large pyramid and two smaller ones.

Sitting on the hood of the remade dune buggy as I lit a smoke, looking at the pyramids in the distance. They were bigger than the ones on Earth. I bet they have some good stuff inside them. As I blew out smoke and waved a hand, a thousand reconnaissance drones showed up.

"Go map out the outside of those pyramids and, if possible, scout the inside," I said while pulling out another crystal. The drones flew towards the three pyramids as I watched the lead ones feed. The drones got within a few thousand meters as I zoomed in on the camera, and I saw two giants guarding the entrance to the biggest one.

"Anu's." I looked at the dog-headed giants on Earth, and they would look like what people think Anubis looks like. From the information I gathered about them, they guard tombs of powerful undead and treasures. "Well, it looks like I'm going to be robbing tonight," I said, blowing out smoke as I led back.

My drones couldn't enter the big one, and from the looks of it, the smaller ones don't have an entrance. I ordered them back as I started to absorb crystals. Anu's are Epic monsters, so they weren't a problem. I wonder whose tomb they are guarding.

As the recon drones returned, I stored them and looked up; it was still noonish. Pulling up my creation ability, I started to make something for tonight as I kept absorbing my crystals. I was waiting for nighttime, making it easier for me to get close to the pyramid. Time went by until the sun lowered beyond their horizon.

"Show time," I said, getting up as I stored my dune buggy and summoned ten Ulysses Units and fifty Artorias Units along with 200 recon drones. This was going to be my force for tonight as I finally stepped onto the Land of the Dead, making the 5km walk to the pyramids.

Little did I know, I would find more than just treasure inside the pyramid.

Meanwhile, in a dark room, fires began to flicker along the walls, illuminating hieroglyphs. A woman lying on a bed surrounded by other women moaned as she opened her eyes. The red flash inside them as she opened her mouth, revealing two fangs. Her lightly tanned skin shimmered with the sweat from her fun last night.

"Mistress, you are awake." One of the naked women next to her said, crawling over as the woman quickly rolled over, pinning the woman to the bed, kissing her. As her kiss moved down the woman's neck, she moaned out, revealing her fangs. "Mistress, that feels good, more." The woman pinned to the bed said.

The one called Mistress bit the woman's neck, making blood flow down her neck as she sucked on it. "Yes! Suck on it more, my Mistress!" The woman moaned out, waking the two dozen other women as they giggled and watched.

Pulling her mouth away from the woman's neck, she was about to speak, only for a loud explosion to shake the area. "WHAT WAS THAT?!" She yelled, getting up from the bed as bats flew towards her and took the form of a bra and what one could say was very little clothing covering the lower area.

She waved a hand, and an eyeball with wings appeared. "Go, see who dares to attack my tomb." The woman said, making the eyebat fly off swiftly. She started walking out of the bedroom into a grand throne room, took a seat on the throne, and the women sat on pillows around it.

"Love, what shall we do?" Said a black woman walking over and taking a seat on her lap. "If any of those fools think they can take my land after she gifted it to me, then they have another thing coming." She said, gripping the throne's armrest. She had worked hard to become a high-level Epic and was now getting favor from Serpatina.

She wouldn't lose what she'd worked hard for. As she was deep in thought, a jewel began to glow, and an image appeared before them. "What are those?" She looked at the screen in shock as the two Anu lay in pieces, along with ten large things she had never seen before, and a few dozen small ones.

Zooming in, she saw something that she hadn't seen before. She has lived for two hundred years before and hasn't seen a being like that. Then a thought crossed her mind. "A living Human? It can't be, they haven't come to this land in close to a thousand years." She mumbled to herself.

I looked at the two Anu guards through a pair of goggles connected wirelessly to my recon drones. I was just over 1,000 meters away from them. Stopping outside the closest light from several oil fires inside giant bowl-like things that had lit up.

"Do it," I ordered as the Ulysses Units opened fire with Epic rank Raging Firestorm rounds. I didn't need to use Legendary ammo on Epic rank monsters. The two Anu didn't stand a chance as they had been taken by surprise, falling within seconds as I started to walk forward.

Stopping just outside the pyramid and ordering the Ulysses Units to pull security as I go inside. Sending half of the recon drones in first, letting them start to map out the inside, before I walked to the Anu's, taking the crystals and coins they dropped. Before I entered the pyramid, I could walk with six Artorias Units standing next to me.

Three on each side, as I let the others space out behind me, making sure to leave a few recon drones in the back watching our six. The lead recon drone sent me a signal telling me they had reached a fork in the path. I put them into three groups of 33 and ordered the last one to pull recon on that spot.

As I kept walking, I felt as if I were being watched by something, but I couldn't find it. Looking around before shrugging as I lit a smoke. "Must be my nerves or the excitement," I said before continuing to walk.

By the time I reached the fork in the passage, two of the paths the drones scouted led to dead ends, and I ordered them back as I watched the recon drone that hadn't hit a dead end enter a large room. It was massive, as I sent the drones out to scan the area.

I noticed mummies standing still in the tens of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands. The drones spotted a staircase leading down, and I ordered them to stand by that staircase. Pulling out the Sig Spear and loading it with Ragining Firestorm ammo, along with the Artorias Unites, we started to walk.

"This should be fun. This reminds me of the Mummy." I chuckled to myself.
