Samuel was still in shock from everything that had happened. He still seemed to be trying to understand why the military had suddenly appeared, and why there was another green female giant. He had many questions to ask, and many things to think about.
But Bronski wasn't going to give him time to ask questions or think. He walked straight up, picked Samuel up, and held him. Although he wasn't particularly tall, Samuel was so much smaller than him that he could only kick his legs in mid-air.
"What did you do to him? Why is he gone? Why?"
"Who? Cough, cough, who's gone?" Samuel was almost out of breath. To make himself more comfortable, he tried his best to cooperate with Bronski's questions, although he didn't know what Bronski was asking.
"Hulk, that monster. Why is he gone?" Bronski asked, his face contorted. "They went through all that trouble to find you, they must have wanted you to do something for them. Now that Hulk is gone, it must have something to do with you. What exactly did you do?!"
"I didn't do anything, I really didn't do anything!" Samuel was just a research enthusiast. He liked to achieve greater, more eye-catching accomplishments in scientific research, not to be cornered and forced to solve problems with violence. He wasn't a tough nut to crack, so he quickly spilled everything he knew.
After hearing his words, Bronski slowly put Samuel down. Of course, he wasn't going to let this guy go; in fact, he had other plans.
Samuel had no idea what he was thinking. He was just clutching his neck, coughing desperately. Having never experienced such treatment, he now hated Bronski, and also hated the Government organization he represented. However, this hatred, for Samuel, could only be hidden in his heart. Because he knew very well that he couldn't go against a country.
"You, you said you had everything on Hulk."
Hearing Bronski's question, Samuel gave him a strange look. But remembering this guy's violence, he still answered honestly.
"Strictly speaking, I only have his data and blood samples."
"You can create something like Hulk, right?" Bronski stared at him intently. In his eyes, Samuel saw a mad personality.
"I don't know, I don't know if I can do that. Hulk was just a very rare accident. Even with blood samples, I'm not sure if I can achieve that."
He shook his head desperately, not daring to make any guarantees. Because once his guarantee didn't meet expectations, he was sure this mad Soldiers would kill him.
And facing Samuel's hesitation and fear, Bronski used the most direct way to help him decide. He pulled out his pistol and pointed it straight at him. "Listen, I want what you got from Banner. I want you to inject that into my body, understand?"
Hearing this, Samuel finally felt something was wrong. Most people wouldn't make such a request, because it's deadly and has very serious consequences. But there's one type of person who's an exception.
"It looks like you already have something in your body, don't you?" Samuel ignored the gun in front of him. He stood up and looked directly at Bronski, asking the question. As a top Scientist, he had naturally heard about the super soldier serum. And the current situation naturally made him think of it.
"I want more. You must have seen him transform, right?" Bronski didn't care about Samuel's Loss of composure, because he himself wasn't in a normal state. He had already recalled Hulk's appearance, and that powerful and terrifying strength made him intoxicated.
"Yes, I have seen it. It was incredibly beautiful. Like a deity!" The aesthetic views of Scientists and normal people are clearly different, but this time he and Bronski were on the same page. Clearly, they had reached an agreement on their understanding of Hulk.
"Listen, I want that. I want to become that, turn me into that." At this moment, Bronski seemed somewhat pathological, and this pathology was exactly what Samuel wanted. Because in his eyes, Bronski had already become the best experimental subject. A more suitable experimental subject than the mice and chimpanzees that had died before. But before the experiment, he still needed to confirm something.
"I don't know what you injected, or what the components of those things in your body are. If they mix with Hulk's blood samples, something, even worse, could happen!" He emphasized the word "worse," as if warning Bronski to choose carefully.
But Bronski, who had already gone mad, didn't know what caution was. He simply pulled back the gun slide, answering him with the sound of it being cocked.
"I don't care what happens, I just want you to do as I say."
"All right, as you wish." Samuel showed a strange smile. For him, this was also what he wished for.
A large jar of purified Hulk's blood was placed into the instrument that had once held the antidote. Bronski lay down on the operating table, which had been almost destroyed by Hulk, and allowed Samuel to do as he pleased.
At this moment, Samuel was fully capable of subduing or killing Bronski, simply by using a certain dose of tranquilizer or a lethal drug. But he didn't do that. He chose to do as Bronski had envisioned. Because he also wanted to know if he could create another miracle like Hulk.
The surgery quickly began. A super-concentrated dose of Hulk's blood was injected into Bronski's body. To create the same conditions as when Hulk was born, Samuel also activated a gamma-ray instrument, irradiating Bronski's body with powerful gamma rays.
And the consequences of his actions quickly became apparent. Bronski's body began to undergo massive changes, but not as Samuel had imagined.
He cowered behind the instrument in terror, saying timidly.
"I don't know what you ingested, but it's clear these things had an effect. And it's the worst kind of effect I mentioned. However, if you're willing to lie back down honestly, I promise I can still change you back."
However, Bronski didn't answer him. What answered him was a low growl like a monster. Bronski was no longer there. Just as Hulk had replaced Bruce, a new monster had replaced Bronski's existence.
His figure was extremely tall. Compared to him, this monster transformed from Bronski seemed to be a few points taller than Hulk. But compared to him, Hulk was definitely a handsome man among giants. Because this monster was too ugly.
His earthy green skin made him look very disgusting, and layers of fine scales were distributed all over his body, making him look more like a reptile than a giant. But he was still a giant, and a very strong giant.
Almost every scale was composed of muscle, layers of muscle wrapping around his body like tree roots or vines, making him look thick and bloated. At the same time, his bone plates were abnormally prominent, with his sternum protruding very clearly like a layer of armor. Coupled with the layer of greenish scales on top, it was as if he was wearing a layer of scale armor.
And at his joints, several abnormally thick bone spurs protruded. These bone spurs were not sharp, but they looked very rough. Rather than bone spurs, they were more like large, blunt bone spears. Only extremely powerful strength could turn such things into Sharp Weapons, and clearly, this monster did not lack such strength.
In addition to these bone spurs, layers of bone-like plates also protruded from the monster's back, covering his entire spine, making him look somewhat like a prehistoric Stegosaurus.
Scales, bone spurs, bone armor, and a grotesque appearance—from every aspect, Bronski's mutation could not be called a success. But as the person involved, Bronski didn't think so; in fact, he considered it a perfect success.
Because he could already feel the power gushing from within him. He tried to move the operating table next to him. The operating table, weighing several tons, seemed to have completely lost its weight in his hands. With a gentle lift, the entire operating table was flung out like a piece of wood.
The operating table smashed through the thick wall, falling from the sky like a meteorite onto the street in the distance. It directly crushed a car into a pancake.
Watching all this, Bronski looked at his hands in disbelief. After a long time, he began to let out a terrifying laugh. Having turned into a monster, his laughter also became strange, like the wind blowing into a furnace from a bellows, chaotic and piercing, with even some slight crackling.
But Bronski didn't care about any of that. He was very satisfied now. And just as he said, it was time to make this game a little fairer.
With a leap, he shot up into the sky like a Rocket, and what he hadn't expected was that the recoil force he generated during his ascent made the entire floor shake.
Samuel's already ravaged laboratory could no longer withstand such abuse. Chunks of floor, along with bricks and rebar, began to collapse and fall. Samuel was even thrown backward by the monster's recoil, falling heavily to the ground.
He hit his head on an instrument, his hard skull striking the most fragile part of the instrument. While Samuel's head cracked, the liquid contained within the instrument also flowed out. This bodily fluid was concentrated Hulk blood.
And now, this blood had dripped onto Samuel's head and, following the wound on his head, flowed into his brain.
Another kind of mutation also began to occur. Samuel also began to mutate; his entire head started to enlarge. Both his skull and the contents of his cranial cavity. However, this mutation seemed to be limited to his head; apart from this, his body showed no other changes.
Soon, these changes stopped. Now, Samuel looked as strange as a bobblehead doll. But he didn't think so himself, because at this moment, he felt a very peculiar World. And because he saw this World, a strange smile began to appear on his face.
This night was destined to be different from before.
(The Abomination's prototype is mainly based on the comic book version, with a bit of the movie's setting added.)
