Seeing that the system did not refresh a new round of side quests,

Linen closed the system casually.

Just now, the spoiler system said that Tony Stark and his team's overall trust was only 73%.

So, who lowered the trust?

You should know that the trust in the previous videos was over 80%.

Could it be the new member, the second-generation Garfield version of Peter Parker?

Just as he was thinking, a white arm was placed on Linen's chest: "Why are you still awake so late? What are you thinking about?"

Elsa Bloodstone asked Linen after opening her eyes in a daze.

"I'm wondering what brought you from London to New York?"

Looking at Elsa, who had recovered from her "fatigue," Linen asked curiously.

"I missed you a little, so why wouldn't I come over to see you?"

Faced with Linen's question, Elsa chuckled, then gently stroked his chest with her white fingers: "Is it because another year and a half has passed? Why do you feel more energetic tonight than when you were 18?"

"Really, if I had known, I wouldn't have let you go back last time in Europe!"

Speaking of this, Elsa rested her chin on Linen's chest, her beautiful eyes shining: "Linen, you should know that I really like you very much!"

"So?"

Looking at Elsa mumbling, Linen raised his hand, placed it on her smooth back, and asked, "Do you still want me to marry into your Bloodstone family? You know that's impossible!"

"Also, don't say that you came to New York just because you missed me!"

Pinching Elsa's nose, Linen smiled and said, "We've known each other for so many years—do you think I don't understand your personality?"

"Tsk!"

Hearing Linen reject her again, Elsa rolled her eyes. "You really don't understand romance at all!"

As she said this, Elsa tilted her ear and listened to Linen's heartbeat for a while before explaining, "A wealthy man in New York found me through his connections. His daughter died half a month ago."

"The specific cause of death is unknown. The NYPD concluded that it was suicide."

"This wealthy man knew his daughter and knew it was impossible for her to commit suicide, so he found me through several layers of connections."

Looking up at Linen, Elsa said seriously, "He offered me a very high price and hoped that I could help investigate the cause of his daughter's death."

"You know, when people can't find the answers they want through scientific methods, they seek supernatural means."

"And it just so happens that our Bloodstone family is quite famous in the supernatural field!"

Hearing what Elsa said, Linen raised his eyebrows. "So you want me to help?"

"Hiss… it hurts!"

After slapping Linen's mischievous hand away in annoyance, Elsa snorted twice. "Although our Bloodstone family is very knowledgeable about monsters and vampires…"

"But you are a professional in the field of the undead, so I want to ask you for help!"

At this point, Elsa raised four white fingers. "The rich man offered four million US dollars, and we can split it equally after the job is done."

"And he promised to handle all the taxes, so we can get the full two million dollars!"

"How about it? Do it?"

Hearing Elsa say this, Linen thought for a few seconds. "Two million… is the market price really that high now?"

"The New York and Washington psychic circles received an order for one hundred thousand dollars a few days ago—that was already considered high!"

"Who told you? The dead girl was the rich man's most beloved daughter."

Faced with Linen's curiosity, Elsa said with a smile.

She knew that Linen had connections with psychics and witches and had a high reputation in that circle!

So this was the real reason she came to him.

Even if Linen helped, if he couldn't summon the ghost of the rich man's daughter by himself—

Then he could invite other psychics to summon her together.

At worst, she could give those psychics tens of thousands of dollars as a spirit fee, and she and Linen would still take the big money!

"Okay!"

After thinking for a few seconds, Linen nodded.

School would start in half a month, so it was just the right time to earn some extra money!

Two million after tax… that was already several months' income for his East Coast studio!

"Then it's settled!"

Seeing that Linen agreed, Elsa's eyes sparkled.

Feeling Linen place more force on her head, she rolled her eyes at him.

Not caring that she had just used it before, she buried her head in the quilt.

"Huh…"

Resting her arms behind her head, looking at the ceiling, Linen exhaled deeply.

Turning around, he saw that there was still half a cup of ice water on the table, so he picked it up, drank it, and handed the ice cubes to Elsa.

The next morning.

Coming out of the bathroom, he saw that Elsa had already prepared breakfast.

Linen sat at the table waiting for Elsa to join him.

Just when the two of them were halfway through breakfast, they heard a knock on the apartment door.

"I'll go open it!"

After hearing the doorbell, before Linen could speak, Elsa ran to the door.

After opening it and seeing who it was, Elsa froze for a moment.

"Mr. Tony Stark?"

"Elsa Bloodstone?"

Tony Stark, who had fought vampires with her in Europe, was stunned for a few seconds, then nodded. "Linen is at home!"

Back when he was on the Quinjet, he already knew that Linen and Elsa had a very… "familiar" relationship.

He didn't expect that Elsa, a girl, would fly thousands of miles to come see him again after such a short time.

Tsk…

She really is the kind of person I like—very similar to me in this aspect!

After Tony Stark came in, Elsa smiled and said, "Mr. Stark, have you had breakfast? There's still some food in the kitchen. Do you want to eat with us?"

Facing Elsa, who looked like the "hostess," Tony nodded. "Thank you. That would be even better."

"No problem!"

Smiling at Tony, Elsa went straight to the kitchen.

After Elsa left, Tony immediately winked at Linen and said, "Great. You actually let a girl come thousands of miles to see you. You really have some of my style from back in the day!"
