Jaeger tapped his finger and the cataclysm vanished.
The tsunami-like shockwave that had threatened to erase everything simply dissolved, leaving behind silence.
Only the shattered landscape told the truth: they had been a step away from annihilation.
Tsunade and the others stared dumbly. The battlefield had already been rubble before, but now an abyss stretched endlessly beneath their feet.
Entire chunks of earth had been erased, leaving only a single patch—barely ten square meters—where Tsunade and Kushina stood.
"...Tsunade-sama…"
Shizune collapsed, pale, her body trembling.
"Gulp…"
Tsunade's throat tightened. Hemophobia already haunted her, and now it felt like she'd gained acrophobia too.
She didn't even have the strength to push away the man holding her so casually—Jaeger.
Her mind spun. This was the first time she had ever witnessed power like this. It wasn't just overwhelming… it was apocalyptic.
If he hadn't stopped that impact, we'd all be gone—me, Shizune, Jiraiya—wiped from existence.
Her gaze shifted. Wait… mysterious man?
That was when she realized—she was still in his arms. Worse, she'd practically dragged him into her chest earlier, only to end up the one being held instead.
She looked up. Jaeger's face was close, impossibly flawless, like a scene out of a dream. Her cheeks burned. Her fist twitched on instinct… but she froze.
Reason won out. He had just saved her life. Maybe several times over. Punching him now… was suicide.
Fine. He saved me. If he wants to take advantage a little… tch, whatever.
Her pulse raced faster as another thought hit her: At least he's not a crusty old perv like Jiraiya. He's… ridiculously handsome. Dammit.
Next time, she swore, she wouldn't lose.
"Tsunade…"
Jiraiya finally spoke, his voice rough. His heart twisted. He owed this man gratitude for saving them...
but watching him cradle Tsunade like a lover? That was torture. He could do nothing but stand there. After all, he and Tsunade were only old classmates, old comrades. Nothing more.
Then—two new figures blinked into view.
Uchiha Madara.
And the massive pink dragon he had been clashing with moments ago.
Both were bloodied wrecks. Madara's Susanoo was shattered. His body mangled, his left arm gone. The dragon's body was torn, chunks missing, scales split.
"They came here… are they after us?!"
Fear jolted through Tsunade. She clung tighter to Jaeger, her body tense. Being pressed against him felt like the only shield she had.
But Madara didn't move to attack.
"Damn that ability to stop time…" Madara scowled, blood dripping down his side. "Even worse than space-time techniques."
The glow of his Susanoo faded completely, leaving him floating in the air by chakra alone. His battle robes hung in tatters.
Beside him, the dragon let out a guttural hiss, its body shrunken and cracked.
And then—before Tsunade's eyes—their wounds vanished. Flesh rewound. Scales regrew. In an instant, both stood pristine, restored as if the carnage had never touched them.
"...Unbelievable."
Tsunade's voice shook. She was a medical ninja; she knew better than anyone how impossible that regeneration was.
She couldn't stop the flash of envy—if only her little brother had possessed that kind of resilience…
"Oi, fat blonde woman!"
A sharp, feminine voice rang out. Tsunade jumped.
Her wide eyes darted to the dragon. "You… you can talk?! You're not just a summon beast?!"
"Oh, I can talk plenty." The dragon's eyes narrowed slyly. "And you seriously think pressing up against someone else's boyfriend isn't offensive? Cute excuse, Miss Innocent."
The massive body shimmered. In the next moment, the dragon shrank away—replaced by a beautiful girl with flowing black hair and crimson eyes.
Jiraiya's jaw dropped. "She's gorgeous…"
"Idiot! Priorities!"
Tsunade socked him in the face, leaving his eye blackened, then turned back, still reeling. "Wait—you're not a summon? Then… transforming into a dragon… is that your kekkei genkai? But—hang on, when did I—?! I didn't—!"
Her words choked off as the realization clicked. Slowly, stiffly, she turned to Jaeger, who was still holding her firmly.
Madara laughed, arms crossed. "Hah! Took you long enough, Hashirama's granddaughter! Kasumigaoka Utaha and Jaeger are the real thing. What's this? Planning to butt in as the third wheel?"
"No! Absolutely not! How could you even think that?! I was just—! He saved me—I—there was no hugging on purpose!"
Her face burned crimson. Never in her life had Tsunade been this embarrassed. Normally, she would've punched first and asked questions never. But after watching these monsters fight? She knew better. She couldn't afford to throw a tantrum here.
Jaeger smirked devilishly. "Honestly… if it's Tsunade, I don't mind. She's beautiful. And that body of hers? Hard to ignore."
"...Wh—wha—?!"
Tsunade froze, lowering her head in utter defeat. Words failed her.
"Fufufu…"
Utaha's lips curled into a mischievous smile, crimson eyes sparkling with triumph. She had pulled off the perfect little prank.
And then—another cold, imperious voice echoed down from the skies
"I said, don't bully this little girl!"
A golden-haired angel, clad in gleaming armor, descended from the sky with wings spread wide.
"...Little girl?"
Tsunade blinked, staring at the radiant newcomer. Judging from that aura, this angel wasn't any weaker than Madara himself. Still, she muttered under her breath, "I'm not a little girl anymore…"
"Well, you're certainly… not small," the angel said dryly, eyes flicking toward Tsunade's chest. "But I was talking about your age."
"Eh? I'm not that young either!" Tsunade huffed, crossing her arms. "Don't let this face fool you. I might look like I'm in my twenties, but I'm well into my thirties!"
"Pfft—"
Angel Leng couldn't hold back a laugh. "Not even forty? That's exactly why you're a little girl."
"...Tch."
Tsunade's face darkened. She hated being looked down on, and her pride wouldn't let her stay quiet. "And what about you, huh? You look barely twenty yourself. Who are you calling a girl?"
"Wait… you're saying I look twenty?"
The angel actually looked taken aback.
Jaeger gave Tsunade a sideways glance, his expression unreadable.
"Hah!" Madara burst out laughing, arms folded. "As expected of Hashirama's granddaughter. That mouth of yours is just like his—offending people left and right!"
"Snort."
Emboldened, Tsunade turned her glare back on the angel. "What? Did I say something wrong? Or are you actually under twenty? Still in your teens, maybe?"
"No, she's definitely older than that."
Utaha smirked, her crimson eyes glinting. "Though, exactly how much older… I couldn't say. Ten thousand years, give or take."
"…Hah? What kind of joke is that?" Tsunade rolled her eyes. "Ten thousand years old? What are you, the Sage of Six Paths?"
"The Sage of Six Paths?"
Jaeger chuckled and looked down at the woman in his arms. "Funny you mention him. Hagoromo wasn't human at all. He was closer to Angel Leng than you think."
"W-what?"
Tsunade froze, staring at Jaeger as though he'd just revealed a forbidden truth. "You… you're joking, right?"
"Nope."
Jaeger ignored Jiraiya's equally curious stare and lifted his hand. A screen of glowing rune characters unfolded in midair.
"You're curious, so I'll show you. Just don't complain when you realize how small you really are."
The glowing screen replayed scenes—moments from the shinobi world, fragments of another realm beyond their comprehension.
Meanwhile, Jaeger casually restored the battlefield. The shattered earth knit itself together; mountains rose, forests grew, rivers flowed again. The scar of battle vanished as if it had never been.
"…Incredible. Is this… the power of a god? To recreate the world itself?"
Uchiha Miyuki whispered in awe.
"Indeed."
Madara nodded gravely, his sharp gaze fixed on Jaeger. For once, even he looked impressed.
Jaeger only smiled. "Don't exaggerate. It's nothing more than shaping matter. Fire, ice, stone, rivers… as long as the energy is there, creation is easy. Hardly worth bragging about."
"Not worth mentioning… Jaeger-sama really knows how to show off."
Uchiha Miyuki's eyes sparkled as she stared at him. "When will I ever get to show off like that? Compared to him, even Madara-nii looks plain!"
"…Tch."
Madara's mouth twitched. He wanted to deny the relation outright, but there was no escaping it. Like it or not, this hopeless girl was his descendant—future clan leader, even Hokage material. Still, she made him want to cover his face.
Choosing to ignore her, Madara turned instead to Tsunade and Konan, who were both staring blankly, still reeling. He frowned. "Is it really wise to let them know about the other world… and the Ōtsutsuki?"
"It's fine."
Jaeger's tone was casual, almost lazy. "This world doesn't breed lunatics worshipping monsters beyond the stars. To them, hearing about other worlds is no different from hearing a myth."
"~Haha. I think it's less about myths and more about you showing off for the big blonde over there."
Utaha smirked, jealousy dripping from her words. "Flash your power in front of her, let her be overwhelmed, and then—poof—another woman at your feet?"
Jaeger raised a brow. "You're overthinking it. Honestly, it was just a whim. If I really wanted to win her over, I could think of simpler ways."
He glanced down at Tsunade, still slack-jawed from everything she'd seen, his smile turning playful.
The screen of runes flickered, showing fragmented truths:
—Madara revived with powers from another world, brushing against the realm of the Sage of Six Paths.
—Jaeger, Utaha, and Angel Leng revealed as outsiders who crossed worlds, their strength beyond reason.
—Shimura Danzō's sudden surge in power, controlling Konoha through stolen forces from elsewhere.
—The origins of chakra, a scheme born of alien invaders—betrayed only when Kaguya turned on her kin.
Each scene slammed into Tsunade and Jiraiya like a hammer. Their worldviews cracked apart, everything they thought immutable laid bare.
This can't be real… Tsunade wanted to deny it, but the weight of it was too sharp, too vivid. The Sage of Six Paths, the roots of ninjutsu, the alien truth of chakra—it all fit too well.
And besides… someone like Jaeger didn't need cheap illusions to play tricks.
Kushina, though shocked, absorbed it quickly. She already knew Jaeger wasn't from this world. Konan and Rin followed the same way—still young, their hearts already bound to Jaeger. What did it matter if he was alien, god, or devil? He was still him.
"So…"
After what felt like an eternity, Tsunade drew a long breath and steadied herself. "You came here… to deal with Shimura Danzō, didn't you?"
"Correct, Senpai Tsunade!"
Miyuki grinned and hugged Tsunade's arm. "With Jaeger-sama here, that bastard won't even get a grave."
"...Right."
Tsunade muttered without hesitation. After all, she had just watched Jaeger erase an apocalypse with one finger, then recreate mountains and rivers like it was nothing. To her, there was barely any line left between man and god.
And yet… she remembered how obsessed he'd been with using her face as a pillow just earlier. Her lips twitched. Is this just men? The stronger they are, the more they indulge themselves?
…Though, she realized with a side-glance, Madara didn't seem to care about women at all.
"By the way," Tsunade said suddenly, her curiosity sparking again, "how did you erase that impact earlier? Was it some kind of space-time technique?"
"I was wondering that too!"
Kushina leaned forward eagerly. Konan mirrored her, eyes shining.
"It wasn't space ninjutsu, sensei."
Miyuki's voice rang proudly. "What Jaeger-sama used was the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception—an ability tied directly to the Root."
"...Mystic Eyes?"
Tsunade blinked, completely lost. "What even is that?"
"To put it simply," Miyuki explained, "it's the ability to see the 'death' of all things. Everything has an end—fire burns out, lightning fades, even planets eventually die."
"The Eyes trace those endings. And when Jaeger cuts that line, he can end anything instantly. Cause and timeline don't matter."
Tsunade's jaw slackened. "…That's… that's godlike. There's nothing he couldn't kill."
Her voice trembled, then grew desperate. "Jaeger… if you can kill anything… then you can bring someone back too, right? Please—if you can resurrect the dead, I'll pay any price!"
