Chapter 135 - Chapter 135: Scathach’s Peak

The photo posted by Kei Karuizawa was unmistakably the slave contract she had signed with Jaeger.

In the past, she had endured severe bullying—both mental and physical—until she was nearly broken.

The only thing that preserved her dignity was choosing not to share her newcomer reward with the chat group, a decision that left many curious and slightly concerned.

But now?

Now, after avenging herself with her own hands—ending her tormentors once and for all—Kei felt reborn.

The weight on her shoulders had vanished. The despair, the fear, all of it… gone. In its place bloomed a new confidence, a strange serenity.

That's why she no longer cared about revealing the slave contract.

After all, it granted her immortality, and even a weakened form of Jaeger's Noble Phantasm— Lightning that tears apart the stars, a power capable of leveling the world.

Sure, it was called a "slave contract"… but really, who wouldn't take that deal?

Even the princess in a fairy tale who met her prince didn't have it this good.

So, Kei—feeling freer than she ever had before—casually posted the contract for everyone to see.

[Chat Group]

Uchiha Miyuki: "Wait… slave contract? Am I seeing things?"

Scathach: "…Is this your newcomer reward? I didn't know the group gave things like that."

Esdeath: "…No wonder you were so secretive. This is personal, sure, but… it looks like you've really accepted it now."

Karuizawa Kei: "Yes! I've figured everything out. I've never felt so free—like everything finally makes sense."

Nakiri Erina: "W-Wait! What do you mean you figured it out? A slave contract?! Kei… are you saying you're really Jaeger's slave?"

Karuizawa Kei: "Of course! What's wrong with being Mr. Jaeger's slave? Eternal life, a thunderous Noble Phantasm capable of leveling the world? I'd become his dog if he asked—gladly!"

Jaeger: "…."

Jibril: "Pfft—she's really gone all in. I expected acceptance, but this is… on another level."

Nakiri Erina: "H-How could anyone be okay with that? Aren't we equals in the group?"

Karuizawa Kei: "I've never been happier. For the first time in my life, I feel satisfied—as if this is the life I was always meant to live."

Sawamura Eiri: "Are you… completely sure about this? Like, mentally?"

Karuizawa Kei: "Whatever Mr. Jaeger does to me, I won't resist. He gave me strength, rebirth… and he's handsome too."

Kasumigaoka Utaha: "Hah. I figured a girl like you—one who's suffered—would cling to the first hand that lifted her up. But this quick? Jaeger really is a scumbag noble."

Uchiha Miyuki: "Wow… Senpai, that jealousy is leaking through the screen."

Jaeger: "Ahem. Let's not take this too far. Kei is still a member of the chat group. I won't do anything to her against her will."

Karuizawa Kei: "But I want it, Mr. Jaeger! Like I said—I'd be your dog if that's what you wanted."

Jaeger: "…Let's keep those thoughts to private messages, alright?"

Kasumigaoka Utaha: "Haha!"

Tohsaka Sakura: "Kei-san's personality feels… different, like she's developed a second self."

Esdeath: "It's not surprising. I've seen it before. Humans break and rebuild easily. Once, a heroic prince who fought me bravely turned into a loyal hound at my feet."

Esdeath: "Kei's tasted revenge and power. Now, she probably sees Jaeger as a god—and she's his fanatic. Fanaticism always looks like madness from the outside."

Karuizawa Kei: "I don't know whether to be embarrassed or flattered… but you're not wrong."

Esdeath: "Heh. I find you far more charming now than when you were trembling in fear."

Jibril: "Agreed! You're giving off a classic crazy devotee vibe—like how Flügels worship the God of War, Artosh. I love it."

Karuizawa Kei: "…Thanks?"

The group couldn't deny it—Kei's new self was more engaging, more alive, even if a little extreme.

It wasn't the most balanced state of mind, but compared to the shy, hesitant girl before, this Kei had direction. She had power. And most importantly, she had conviction.

Some even found it… refreshing.

Karuizawa Kei: "By the way, Lady Scathach! Did you get your newcomer reward too?"

Scathach: "…I did. I almost forgot about it after seeing yours."

Uchiha Miyuki: "What is it? Another overpowered item? Or maybe a bloodline?"

Scathach: [Image Attached]

It was a simple message, but what it displayed shook the group.

Newcomer Reward: Template of Scathach (Peak Form)

Type: One-time consumable item

Effect: Grants the user permanent access to Scathach's full strength, abilities, and techniques at her peak.

Uchiha Miyuki: "Eh?! So you've achieved your full potential?"

Esdeath: "…A decent reward. Though you could have reached that strength on your own eventually. Seems a bit redundant."

Luo Hao: "Not entirely. Time is a resource. With this, she can use what she saved to grow even stronger."

Jibril: "Have you used it yet? How does it feel?"

Scathach: "Yes. It's frightening. My physical power, martial arts, spear mastery—even Rune Magecraft—have all reached their pinnacle. I doubt I can challenge the main gods yet, but killing divine beasts and lesser gods is easy now."

Jibril: "In other words, you can slay gods?"

Scathach: "Our worlds are different. Even with similar divine ranks, gods vary in strength. But yes—I am far stronger than before."

Karuizawa Kei: "Wow… You really are a born warrior queen. I'm so envious."

Scathach: "There's no need to envy. With Jaeger strengthening your Noble Phantasm over time, you may surpass me one day."

Karuizawa Kei: "Ehh?! Did you just… praise me? Lady Scathach? That makes me happy!"

Back in the One Piece world, in his own room, Jaeger leaned back, reviewing the chat messages with a faint smile.

"Scathach at her peak, huh…"

In his past life, the Scathach of the Type-Moon universe was said to have slain countless gods—so many that she was cursed with immortality, exiled to the Land of Shadows, eventually becoming someone who transcended even the world itself.

She was meant to be a top-tier existence—above even the chief gods like Zeus and Odin.

Yet, in canon, her strength was clearly nerfed. Her divine spear skills were nothing extraordinary among Heroic Spirits, and her Noble Phantasm lacked true destructive power.

Still, the Scathach in the chat group now had access to her intended power.

She herself claimed she could slay gods—but not quite the main gods.

But that didn't bother Jaeger.

"In the chat group, everyone grows. Whether it's Kei or Scathach, surpassing your canon self is only a matter of time."

Muttering to himself, Jaeger closed the chat window with a faint chuckle.

BOOM!

The bedroom door slammed open.

"Jaeger! Jaeger! Where were you? I woke up and you were gone!"

Yamato barged in like a charging beast, silver hair bouncing wildly as she flung herself into Jaeger's arms—clinging like a puppy that had finally found its owner after being left alone for too long.

Jaeger chuckled softly, raising a hand to ruffle her wild hair. "I just stepped out for a bit."

His gentle smile lingered as he looked down at the beast princess who only ever thought of him.

"Were being a good girl? Studied like I told you?"

"I—I read a lot!" Yamato replied, puffing out her cheeks, clearly trying to sound convincing.

Jaeger narrowed his eyes. "Oh? Now you're lying to me? I guess your IQ has improved after all."

He flicked her nose lightly, grinning.

"Hey! That tickles! Stop it!" Yamato whined, squirming in his arms. Despite being a full-grown adult, she seemed more like an adorable child at times.

Just then, a calm, composed voice came from outside.

"Jaeger-sama, you've returned."

Jaeger glanced toward the window, spotting the silhouette. "Stussy? What is it?"

The elegant blonde woman, dressed in a flowing white gown, stepped inside, kneeling respectfully on one knee with a den den mushi in her hands.

"The Elders request your presence," she said.

Jaeger nodded slightly. "Come in."

"Yes." Stussy rose, walking into the bedroom. Her eyes narrowed as they landed on Yamato, still comfortably curled up in Jaeger's lap. She forced her tone back into formality as she knelt once again and offered the transponder snail.

"Huh?" Yamato blinked. "Why's this pretty blonde lady glaring at me? Does she not like me?"

With her newly enhanced senses, it was easy for Yamato to notice the flash of annoyance in Stussy's gaze. But with her usual innocence, she tilted her head, confused.

Spoiled little brat…

Stussy rolled her eyes silently. This was the same girl who had once sent her flying tens of thousands of meters with a single mace swing, all because she got too close to Jaeger.

"Hehe," Jaeger chuckled, running a hand down Yamato's smooth hair. "Nee-san over here thinks someone might steal her Jaeger."

"What? She's trying to steal you?" Yamato's eyes widened in alarm. A flash of possessiveness surged in her expression. She shot Stussy a deadly glare, like a lioness ready to pounce.

Stussy scoffed under her breath. "Jaeger-sama, please don't joke like that. I can't deal with this beast princess if she gets serious."

She forced a tight smile and pushed the transponder forward again, her tone snapping back to respectful. "The Five Elders have been waiting for you, Jaeger-sama."

Jaeger reached out, gently restraining Yamato with one hand—like handling an overexcited pet husky. "Alright. Put it through."

"Yes, sir."

Stussy bowed, connecting the line.

"Hello? Is this His Highness Jaeger?" came a familiar, elderly voice—soft, yet burdened with weight, the voice of the kindest old man in the world.

Saint Jaygarcia Saturn.

Jaeger's tone turned flat. "What is it?"

His words dripped with disinterest and power. The respect he once gave these men had long disappeared. He was beyond them now—and they knew it.

Saturn paused for a moment, hiding his irritation. "It's about the execution… of Gol D. Roger."

Jaeger raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"

"Moria has reassembled the Pirate King's corpse and implanted a soul. We plan to use him publicly… and we want you as the executioner. It'll make a strong statement—and help eliminate certain... rising stars in the process."

Jaeger leaned back, intrigued. "Who else?"

"Some promising rookies of this generation. And... Monkey D. Dragon."

Jaeger's gaze sharpened.

"He's apparently aware of Garp's death," Saturn added, voice dripping with cold amusement. "And he's not pleased. Of course, the final decision is yours."

Jaeger was about to accept when something interrupted him.

DING!

[Congratulations! You have received the opportunity to issue a mission. Would you like to proceed?]

Huh. A mission for the Pirate World? Looks like the group's about to get lucky...

Jaeger glanced at the chat system, then grinned.

To the transponder, he said, "Fine. Tell Morgans to broadcast this globally—I'm going to personally execute the 'Pirate King.' Let the whole world watch."

"As you wish, Jaeger-sama," Saturn replied, suppressing a sigh. It wasn't a surprise. Jaeger craved attention, beauty, and power in equal measure—and the World Government needed him as their new face.

After ending the call, Jaeger opened the chat group interface.

Jaeger: New mission incoming—Pirate World. Let's see who the lucky one is this time.
