"What did she say?" Ryker asks Royce quietly, his tone not forceful.
Royce takes a long stride back to the middle of his office and throws his phone on the desk and sinks into his chair.
He remains silent, letting Danica's proposal run through his mind.
He shakes his head annoyingly, rubbing the bridge of his nose.
"What is the progress of the search," He throws the question at Nico, his tone displeased.
"Alpha, there is no progress," Nico kneels on one knee, his head lowered, "I apologize for my incompetence but every search has led to a dead end, Alpha."
"How so?" Royce slams his fist on the table, "Danica did not disappear into thin air with my father, Nico!"
"I am sorry, Alpha. I am going to take some men to begin the search again, it's just that…" Nico hesitated, biting his bottom lip, "I asked Beta Lenn for help but he turned me down. He said he doesn't take orders or work from you," Nico confessed, waiting for the right opportunity to beat Lenn up for good.
