One… million?
The words echoed in my head.
Then again.
One. Million.
My knees gave out.
I did not collapse gracefully. There was no dramatic swoon, no elegant fainting befitting a Crown Princess. I fell—hard—straight onto the polished stone floor with a sharp thud that rattled my bones.
"One million," I repeated this time out loud staring at the ceiling. "One million villainess points."
Nero made a thoughtful sound.
[Host has entered the Denial Stage.]
I pushed myself up onto one elbow, dizziness swirling.
How many do I have right now?
There was a pause. Far too calm.
[Two hundred.]
I stared.
Two hundred.
[Correct.]
My vision darkened again—not from mana this time, but sheer disbelief.
"Just… two hundred?" My voice sounded faint, even to myself.
[Yes. A very respectable beginner number.]
Beginner? I need one million and I have two hundred?
That means, I still need hundreds of thousands more.
Nero cleared his nonexistent throat.
