Kiho side-eyed him as he mentioned the basement.
"What?"
Bracing himself against the kitchen counter, Lim Soohyun spoke up, his tone edged with curiosity. Kiho paused at that, setting the knife down with a soft clink before turning to face him before speaking.
"Nothing, it's just that you mention it a lot. The basement."
"Well... it's the only place I haven't explored in this house. Besides, this house is losing its value to me now."
Lim Soohyun spoke offhandedly, his gaze drifting across the kitchen walls plastered with talismans—layers upon layers of them, even more yellowed with age, left untouched despite long having lost their effect. That was when Kiho's voice cut in, questioning him from behind, deep enough to pull his attention away from the walls.
"Are you sure you've never gone down there by yourself to explore?"

He shifted his gaze to stare at Kiho for a moment before replying.
