Chapter 1 - Prologue

A long time ago, there existed a forest unlike any other—a peaceful realm filled with a thriving ecosystem, gentle magic, and just a hint of whimsy. This forest was called Wildsong Hollow, and its ruler, Tikva, Queen of the Fae, also led the Seelie Court. Her power was vast, giving life to endless trees, lush flower valleys, and views that could awe even the hardest of human hearts. It was a place of true serenity.

At the heart of this forest stood a town built upon a mountain, known as Sword's Point. It was a beloved tourist destination, famed for its paradise-like beauty and home to the largest apple farm in the region—renowned for its wide variety of desserts and hard apple cider. Locks were seldom used, disputes ended with handshakes rather than swords, and the townsfolk were friendly and open-minded. Rumor had it that if you stood still and listened closely, you could hear the soft hum of magic or the whispers and giggles of the forest nymphs.

Every day was peaceful—until that peace vanished, along with the Fae Queen Tikva.

In her place rose a false idol, spreading its influence throughout the forest and withering every tree for miles. The people of Sword's Point managed to save themselves by blessing the roads and protecting a portion of their farmland—preserving their town, but also dooming it. The false idol's corruption seeped into the land, twisting the wildlife with malice and mold. The forest became a death trap for any who were not strong enough to survive within it.

Those untouched by the corruption sought the aid of a shaman, who carved a prophecy in stone—but it was lost to time. The false idol's influence still festers, and Sword's Point has long been forgotten. No one remembers what the prophecy said, or whether it was ever true.

When will it come to pass—and who will rid the forest of the false idol?

Only time will tell.
