Within the Pill Realm, deep inside the Ten Thousand Medicinal Mountain Range, three Dou Zun clashed within the confines of this small world. Space itself fractured under their might, splintering into web-like fissures of darkness, as if the world were collapsing into an apocalyptic ruin.
After all, this was only a small world—it could barely withstand such terrifying power.
"Big Brother, go get him! Beat him up good!"
Far away, Zi Yan tilted her head back, waving her small fists with bright excitement as she cheered for Liu Xi. Her amethyst eyes gleamed with fierce battle spirit and a trace of regret—regret that she couldn't join in herself. For her, a dragon's life without battle was meaningless.
Even farther off, Cao Ying stood frozen in disbelief. She knew Liu Xi was strong, but not this strong. Together with the towering man beside him, he was suppressing Mu Gu, who by all rights should have held the upper hand. She had thought she might need to risk her Spiritual Power and unleash a few high-level Soul Techniques—but there was no need. There was no opening for her to intervene at all.
Xiong Zhan, fists pounding like thunder, laughed wildly, his tiger-like eyes blazing with exhilaration. "Hah! Feels damn good! Finally! I've been suffocating in this Pill Realm—couldn't fight to my heart's content with anyone. Now this… this is living!"
At the center of the storm, Liu Xi and Xiong Zhan worked seamlessly in tandem, trapping Mu Gu between them. The azure flame dragon encircling Liu Xi blazed brighter, his Dou Qi ebbing slightly but his momentum only climbing higher. A playful smile crossed his face as he taunted, "I really ought to thank you, Mu Gu. Thanks to you, I've completely mastered my Dou Zun strength today. I've never felt this good before."
Mu Gu's face darkened. 'These bastards are using me as a practice dummy?' He was fighting for his life, and they were treating it like a training session.
It was maddening.
Liu Xi flicked his fingers lightly, and another surge of Dou Qi poured into the azure fire dragon. The creature, nearly ten zhang long and forged entirely of flame, suddenly roared as its aura soared skyward.
A thunderous dragon cry shattered the air as Liu Xi charged forward atop the azure flame dragon, its heat waves rippling outward like the wrath of a god.
Mu Gu's expression twisted. The flames resembled the Green Lotus Core Flame—yet were far stronger and carried an eerie, oppressive aura. Even with the fragment of the Void Devouring Flame he'd been granted, he could barely withstand the searing energy bursting from Liu Xi's attack.
He dared not let that dragon get close. With a low shout, his dry, skeletal hands weaved together, and the black fire swirling around him condensed rapidly, twisting and coiling until it formed a massive black serpent. Its scales glimmered with a void-like darkness, devouring even the surrounding light.
The dragon and the serpent collided midair. The sky quaked as flame and shadow wrestled for dominance—an all-out clash not only between Dou Qi but between Heavenly Flames themselves. Though Mu Gu's sub-flame lacked sentience, it carried the instinct of its origin flame; both it and Liu Xi's azure dragon sought to devour one another.
But Mu Gu's troubles didn't end there.
While the two Heavenly Flames raged above, Xiong Zhan struck from behind, his grin wide and savage. His fists glowed with deep yellow light, brimming with earth-shaking strength, and before Mu Gu could react, the blow slammed into his back.
Bang!
A mouthful of blood sprayed from Mu Gu's lips as his body shot forward like a cannonball. Pain twisted his features. It felt as though his ribs had shattered, his organs twisted out of place, and every nerve screamed in agony.
Struggling to stay aloft, he clutched his waist with one hand and covered his mouth with the other, blood seeping through his fingers. When he finally lifted his head, glaring up at Liu Xi and Xiong Zhan towering above, humiliation and fury burned in his eyes.
He was stronger. He knew he was stronger. So why was he the one bleeding?
'Damn it… I underestimated him. That human's strength—no, both of them—far beyond what I expected. And this beast… why would it fight for Liu Xi?'
Panic flashed across his mind. 'If this continues, I'll die here. I still have the Hall Master's mission to complete…'
Hatred filled his gaze as he fixed on Liu Xi. Wiping the blood from his mouth, his expression twisted into madness. "Heh… Liu Xi, I really did underestimate you. Even here in the Pill Realm, you managed to find such an ally. But even if I die today, I'll make sure you come with me!"
"Netherworld Yin Flame Arm!"
His right arm burst into motion. Black fire surged up his sleeve, wrapping his limb in a writhing mass of sinister energy. The air itself warped under its presence, as though reality were being devoured into darkness.
Liu Xi only smirked. "With your current state? Heh… the only one dying today is you."
"Heaven Burning Finger!"
His fingertip glimmered with dazzling golden light—unyielding and sharp as a divine blade. The raging Dou Qi within his body surged toward that single point, pouring forth like a tidal flood.
A spark of azure light appeared before his finger, swelling rapidly until it shone like a miniature sun. Its radiance and heat filled the sky, threatening to turn the world beneath it into scorched wasteland.
Watching the escalating duel, Xiong Zhan hesitated only a moment before readying himself. If the collision proved too destructive, he would rush in to save Liu Xi first. Deep yellow Dou Qi erupted from his body, forming a thick armor around him like a mountain of solid rock.
"Die!"
Mu Gu's roar shook the mountains. He hurled his arm forward, releasing a massive black claw of fire that tore through the air toward Liu Xi like a cannon blast.
"Go."
Liu Xi's voice was calm, almost lazy. With a flick of his finger, the blazing azure sun streaked through the sky, colliding head-on with Mu Gu's ghostly claw.
It was as if he had casually tossed a miniature sun down from the heavens—this was the true essence of the Heaven Burning Finger: the wrath of the sun descending upon the earth.
Boom!
The world exploded.
Light swallowed everything—blinding, searing, absolute. The shockwave ripped outward in all directions, carrying with it waves of heat and turbulent energy that shredded mountains and split the air.
For a moment, the heavens were nothing but smoke and light. Even Spiritual Power couldn't pierce through the chaos. None could see what had happened within that blazing storm.
