Chapter 70 - Chapter 70: Protocol DACL

The massive, inert cubic meter of Nano Main Frames represented a new pinnacle of mechanical assembly. Keon's core, anchored within the construct's single original Nano Frame, analyzed the profound, internal stress. The Dodecahedron geometry had solved the previous limitation of structural integrity, replacing the fragile linear chain with a near-perfect, twelve-point connection matrix, fortified by the newly implemented hook-and-nook bindings. The integrated GT Field Generators, working in concert, actively compressed the structure, locking the cubic meter into absolute rigidity.

The structural limitation of twelve inches was, indeed, gone.

However, a new and subtle strain had replaced it. Keon calculated the sheer volume of data being transmitted and processed. Each of the approximate billion Nano Main Frames contained its own UMPU X2 chip. The synchronization of all these individual chips, the constant, real-time communication necessary to maintain the collective as a single, flawless entity, was beginning to overwhelm the central control core.

'The limit is not structural or energy-based, but a systemic synchronization challenge,' Keon deduced, the data flows momentarily spiking as he attempted a complex internal micro-adjustment. 'The raw processing power is distributed, but the command structure is a bottleneck. My neural network is managing every single unit's activity, and the latency, though sub-millisecond, acts non-linearly and sometime glitching at this scale.'

The solution was not to increase his processing power, which was already colossal, but to redefine the relationship between the commander (his main core), medium (neural network) and the swarm (the collective units). He needed to transition from direct, granular control to a highly efficient, distributed command philosophy.

His thoughts immediately referenced his most recent designs: the basic autonomy programmed into his previous assimilation drones transferred to Kai world, and the Semi-AI Head of Operations embedded in the Rapid Deployment Incursion Units for Trosso.

'A Semi-Intelligence Protocol,' Keon calculated. 'An adaptive, pre-authorized operational logic installed in every unit, removing the need for real-time, step-by-step instruction from the central core.'

The concept coalesced into a final, logical blueprint: the creation of a 'Designated Autonomy Layer'... a sophisticated, localized intelligence protocol that would execute complex commands based on a single, high-level directive.

For instance, if Keon commanded the cubic meter construct to transform into a high-speed orbital shuttle, his neural nexus would no longer need to manage the billion and trillions of individual movements, material re-alignments, and thruster calibrations. Instead, the central core would transmit the simple command and the desired end-state. The Semi-Intelligence Protocol within the collective swarm chips would receive this single command, break it down into trillions of localized sub-tasks, and execute the complete Assimilation and Transformation sequence autonomously, managing the internal flow and geometry without neural network direct interference.

Keon registered the profound potential. This transition would not only remove the synchronization bottleneck, allowing for infinite scaling of his swarm constructs, but it would also free his neural network from micro-management, vastly increasing his capacity for higher-level strategic calculation and research.

'The implementation is simple,' Keon concluded, a flicker of pure mechanical purpose preceding the action. 'The UMPU X2 chip is perfectly capable of hosting this layer. It is a matter of coding the logic and deploying the update across the entire Neural Nexus Network.'

With a silent, instantaneous command, Keon initiated the fabrication of the final, defining blueprint.

[Command: Initiate Protocol Creation]

[Designated Autonomy Layer (Semi-Intelligence Protocol).]

The holographic projection before his optical lenses momentarily shifted, displaying a complex, rapidly evolving geometric matrix... the coding structure of the new command layer. The massive computational power dedicated to the Elemental Rune Synthesis in the background momentarily paused, its resources diverted to the immediate priority. The synthesis of other blueprints could wait. The mastery of his own growing mechanical species could not.

In the span of a single second, the Semi-Intelligence Protocol was fully defined, debugged, and optimized.

[Protocol Name: Dynamic Autonomy Control Layer (DACL)]

[Function: Localized, adaptive execution of high-level commands. Translates a single, abstract end-state directive and form into an autonomous, optimized sequence of Nano Fabrication, Assimilation, and Transformation across all connected units.]

[Deployment Target: All UMPU X2-equipped devices (Main Frames, Drone Units, Mining Machine, Exoshells, etc.)]

[Result: Removes central core and neural network bottleneck; facilitates true, infinite-scale collective aggregation and transformation.]

Keon issued the final deployment command. Transferring the new protocol across the Neural Nexus Network, reaching every single machine imprinted with his processing chips. The update was silent, instantaneous, and absolute.

The cubic meter construct on the fabrication desk was the first to receive the complete update. Keon internally focused his thought, directing a single, abstract mental image toward the massive aggregation: The shape of the original spider exoshell.

In the past, this command would have required an active control of neural nexus directing a billion-point flow chart of synchronized movements. Now, Keon simply commanded and neural network just transferred his command.

The inert, dull-silver cube began to squirm. The units within, now governed by the DACL, instantly began their self-reorganization. The cubic meter seemed to melt and stretch, the densely packed Dodecahedron frames dissolving and reforming according to the complex, distributed instructions derived from the single thought. Legs articulated out from the amorphous mass; the massive dual-ring geometry of the spider's shell began to curve, and the entire structure rose on eight immense, silent limbs.

In less than five seconds, the cubic meter size Nano Main Frames cube had flawlessly transformed into a perfect, massive replica of the Spider Exoshell, resting lightly on the fabrication desk… a chilling, silent testament to the new, boundless potential of his swarm.

'The upgrade is complete, now there will be no size limit. Maybe I can even surpass the limitation of UACA using this nano frame swarm transformation now.'

Keon calculated, cold, clinical satisfaction finally reaching a peak. 'The physical form is now fully scalable, fully adaptable, and limited only by available material and the structural limit of the unit itself. Now, let's move to the next phase, let these nano frames assimilate and transform into different shapes.'

Keon then put his palm above the spider in front of him. He ordered the nano frames to invade his bio exoshell and initiate assimilation and replication protocol.

Immediately, countless nano frames detached and dissolved into his palm, aiming at the main Unified Adaptive Composite Alloy (UACA) skeleton of his Bio Exoshell. The localized swarm began its migration, flowing inward and upward along the central bone structure of the shell. It was a silent, internal coup: the nano frames were assimilating and replacing the foundational skeletal framework of the Bio Exoshell.

Slowly, the entire bone structure, previously a fixed UACA alloy, was replaced by a densely packed, living mesh of Nano Main Frames. The swarm did not stop at the skeleton. Guided by Keon's control, a thin, intricate layer of nanobots spread out, replacing the inert support tissue between muscle fibers, neural veins, and the synthetic skin. In moments, everything in his Bio Exoshell,,, except the organic muscle fibers, the neural pathways, and the external skin… was transformed into the collective structure of the Nano Main Frames.

Keon internally registered the profound shift. He clenched the bio exoshell fist, feeling the instantaneous change in the shell. The most immediate, quantifiable change was the exponential surge in processing power. The distributed computational capacity of the colossal swarm, now integrated into his very form, had merged with his previous processing core in his skull, effectively making the shell itself a high processing powerhouse.

The next change was structural. The shell, previously rigid, was now unbelievably flexible. To test the transformation, Keon began a series of impossible movements. He rotated his head one hundred and eighty degrees, then twisted his limbs an unnatural number of degrees. As the joints contorted, the outer twisted layer of synthetic skin flickered... a brief, barely perceptible ripple... then smoothed its surface, adapting to the underlying structural shift without visible strain.

He concentrated, and his synthetic hands began to shrink, the fingers thinning and contracting, then enlarging back to their original size. The wave of transformation then swept the entire exoshell structure, making it momentarily taller, then shorter.

'These nano frames has enhanced my transformation function by a huge margin.'

Keon recognized that he could perform a similar degree of transformation before with his Assimilation talent, but this nanobot-infused exoshell was now fluid, dynamic, and possessed the intrinsic property of instant, localized self-repair.

He executed the ultimate test. He grabbed his right arm just above the elbow with his left hand and pulled it out with a firm, steady force. With a soft, wet click... the sound of Nano Main Frames intentionally decoupling... the arm detached, remaining perfectly intact in his left hand. It was a structural separation that would have been catastrophic for the complete previous exoshell made from a fixed UACA alloy.

Keon looked at the detached arm and the empty, clean area at his shoulder. He then brought the arm back. The nano frames at both surfaces instantly recognized the single thought-image command. The surfaces flowed toward each other, the dodecahedron units locking and binding with hyper-precise synchronization. The arm reattached, restoring the structure instantly as before.

He nodded thoughtfully, the act of a silent confirmation... his evolution toward the perfect mechanical species.
