"What happened to your neck, Renzille?" Leira asked as soon as Renzille walked through the door.
The woman's question urged the others inside the room to turn their attention to Renzille, their eyes landing on her neck which was covered with bandages that were obviously placed by inexperienced hands.
"A bite." Renzille stated bluntly, and from the corner of her vision, she could see Kreios looking at her with an expectant look. "Caused by a bug."
"A bug bite?" The Count repeated, smirking. "Just where are you staying for you to be bitten by a disgusting bug? Don't tell me that you're staying at the rundown inn downtown?"
"I don't think she will be wearing such an extravagant dress if she's staying downtown, father." Celine chimed in, her eyes trailing across Renzille's red dress that matched the color of her eyes.
