"This is my first time entering this mountain too. It's so hard to walk," Reina complained. There was no visible path; lush trees and vines were tangled together, and the ground was overgrown with weeds. For a girl like Reina, it was a struggle.
She hadn't noticed her mother's abnormal state.
Of course, Shiho Hihara was also struggling, though it was unclear if it was because of Alex or the terrain.
"It seems this place really is deserted. Aside from people who get lost, maybe no one has stepped foot in this mountain for years..." Alex looked up at the forest that felt like a primeval jungle. There was no sign of human life—only the sounds of birds and insects.

Still, there were no traces of humans.
"Let's take a break. Reina and Auntie Shiho are probably exhausted. They don't have our stamina," Alex noted, seeing them both panting.
Though, the reasons for their heavy breathing were likely quite different.
"Alex, you've found a new love and forgotten the old one," Mila sighed dramatically. "Do you not care about me anymore?"
New love? Reina's head filled with question marks.
"Mila, you're hardly a normal person anymore." Seeing Lady Mila still staring at him with those resentful eyes, Alex didn't bother explaining. He simply reached out and pulled the mature woman into his arms, squeezing her slender waist. Her flesh was soft and bouncy; she didn't feel like a middle-aged woman at all.
