POV: Kyo
After finishing all my recordings, I returned to my dressing room. I changed out of my clothes as quickly as I could and then left the studio with my mother. As soon as we got into the car, I said to Daiki,
"Daiki, I need you to take me to this address. We're going to take a look at a house I'm thinking of buying."
"A house to buy? Now I'm curious. I'm sure it's an incredible house," Daiki said.
"I don't mind if you come take a look at it with us."
"Unfortunately, Mr. Kyo, I can't take you there right now."
"Huh? Why?"
Suddenly, the door opened and Rina got into the car. She had said she would take a taxi home after the recordings were finished because she had something important to do, so why was she here?
My mother looked surprised as well.
"We need to take you to the company office. A job offer has come in," she said to me.
"A job offer?"
I was surprised since it had been a long time since I'd received a job offer. Which was strange, considering my popularity had increased significantly lately... But since it was only a job offer, couldn't I just go to the office tomorrow?
"Is it really that important? I scheduled this house viewing a few days ago. I'm sure the woman I spoke with will be annoyed if we don't show up," I said.
"It's very important. Rikuya was desperate to see you. I'm sure it's a very good offer."
Huff~~
I let out a sigh and then said to Daiki, "Daiki, drive to the address I sent you."
"What? You're going against Mr. Rikuya's orders?" Rina asked in surprise.
I smiled at her and said, "The job offer isn't going anywhere."
Rina stared at me for a few seconds, speechless. She was probably thinking something like, 'He has a point...'
"I'll send Mr. Rikuya a message and explain the situation."
"Alright, I'll take you there. It'll take about forty minutes. You're planning to move pretty far away, huh?" Daiki said.
"I'm still not sure if I'm going to buy this house. But if I do move there, I'll just have to leave home earlier so I won't be late." I laughed.
A few minutes later, Rina said that Mr. Rikuya didn't seem to mind that I wasn't going to the office today. He admitted he had been exaggerating because the job offer was just that good.
I asked Rina which company wanted to hire me, and her response was:
"Mr. Rikuya didn't even tell me."
Is he trying to surprise me or something?
If I had to guess... I'd say a major company like Sony or Nintendo wants to hire me. That's the only reason he'd be this excited.
But even if it's one of those two...
I don't really care either way.

When we finally arrived in the neighborhood where the house was located, I asked Daiki to slow down so I could take a look around. Just as I expected, there were plenty of huge houses.
This place was basically a gated community. I noticed there was much more security than usual.
Probably 90% of the people here were rich.
Maybe 100%.
But I was more concerned about the area's practicality. Was there a supermarket nearby? What about a café? I wanted places I could walk to from home. Fortunately, everything was here.
There were several shops and restaurants scattered throughout the neighborhood.
Then we arrived in front of the mansion.
The first thing I noticed was the size of the front garden. I'd have to take quite a few steps just to reach the front door. There was also a low wooden fence, flowers, and beautifully maintained grass.
But honestly, as beautiful as the garden was, the house itself was even more beautiful.
It was very modern, built with brick.
There were so many windows that it was hard to count them all.
"Wow..." my mother murmured as she stared at the front of the house. "I rarely see modern houses like this in Japan... There are a lot of them here, aren't there?" The neighbor's house, almost a kilometer away, looked very similar.
Daiki and Rina also got out of the car to take a look. They walked up to the fence.
"It's huge. Are you sure you can afford this?" Rina asked.
"I'm Aoi Haruki, of course I can afford it," I replied.
"Yeah, you're right..." She laughed.
Then someone came out of the mansion. It was a woman wearing a suit. She approached us with graceful steps.
"You must be Mr. Kyo Evans."
"Yes, that's me."
"My name is Keiko Sato. It's a pleasure to meet you."
"It's a pleasure to meet you too, Ms. Sato. This is my mother, Haruka. My father should be arriving shortly."
"And they are?"
"Rina is my agent, and Daiki works as a driver for the company."
"I see."
The two introduced themselves, and shortly afterward the woman asked,
"Wouldn't you like to come inside while you wait for your father?"
"Ah, of course."
I followed the woman inside, and everyone else came right behind me.
As we walked through the garden, she began talking about the property and praising its features. Which was to be expected from someone trying to sell a house.
But she was being quite friendly, wasn't she?
With a smile, I continued listening to her as we made our way into the mansion.
The moment we stepped inside, I was amazed.
The interior was even more beautiful than the exterior.
Despite being much more modern than usual, it still feels like a typical Japanese home, I thought.
We went to the dining room. Several snacks had been prepared for us on the table.
While we ate and waited for my father, the woman continued talking about the house.
As my mother and I listened to Keiko with interest, Rina and Daiki didn't seem to care much.
They were eating and discussing something completely unrelated.
Then, finally, my father arrived.
The moment he entered the mansion, he reacted just like we had.
He was amazed.
Now that he was here, the woman finally began guiding us through the house, showing us every detail.
This is definitely going to take a while.
