I had already guessed it was the Dylon matter. The suicide still hit hard. I hadn't known the wife who already fragile back then, had ended that way.
"Viona…"
I raised a hand to stop her. I needed a second to process. What exactly was I fighting for here?
"How is Sera? Is she safe?"
Sasha pulled out her phone with shaking hands and turned the screen toward me.
"This came from her while I was still inside. That's why I left. I need to get to her. Viona… I'm really sorry."
The message was short: Mom, pick me now. I'm scared.
I looked at Sasha—messy, panicked, torn. Part of me agreed with her. Even if I lost the inheritance rights, I wouldn't collapse. I didn't care about the company itself. But my children…
