Suddenly, every eye turned to me. Even Reece, who had looked completely unbothered until now, was watching me, waiting for my answer. It was as if the kids had already talked about this and agreed to make room for Raya, or rather, they were willing to share me with her.
Vivian's wish had come true effortlessly, as if it had been written into fate long before any of us knew it.
I stood there awkwardly, feeling cornered beneath all those expectant eyes. But the moment my gaze met Raya's innocent wonder, something inside me melted. Was it affection? Heartache? Pity? I wasn't sure. Before I could think twice, the words slipped out in a gentle, certain voice.
"Yes, of course. She can call me that, or whatever she wants to call me. As long as my sweethearts don't mind."
I stroked Vae's hair and reached for Reece's arm.
"Yes, Mommy. I like it," Vae answered with a bright smile.
"I'm okay with it too," Reece replied coolly.
