"He's finally here." Gabriella looked at Logan outside. The bright sunlight made Logan look exceptionally heroic, his sharp Adamantium claws giving her a sense of relief.
The physical pain and psychological pressure had pushed the fragile woman to her limit, causing her to faint seconds later.
"Put them down, or else..."
Logan raised his Adamantium claws. The reflected light shone clearly in Donald's eyes, the blinding, cold glare making him squint.
"Logan, you truly disappoint me," Donald said coldly. "Originally, I had no intention of paying attention to you, but now, you chose your own path to destruction!"
"Logan, I don't understand why you came to the rescue. Look at you, terminally ill, with one foot in the grave. Although those claws look great; it must have cost you a lot to fully extend them."
Donald scoffed dismissively. "The age of mutants is over, Logan. You are no longer the mighty Wolverine. You are just an old wolf in his final years who should find a cave and live out his last days in peace. This world no longer belongs to mutants."
He shook his head scornfully. "The Creator made imperfect creatures like you, only to destroy them in the end. Pathetic, pathetic creatures."
Whoosh!
Logan, too lazy to waste words on Donald, seized the moment everyone relaxed as Donald spoke. He suddenly leaped forward, charging directly at the two gunmen holding Laura hostage.
His figure blurred, kicking up dust, and he instantly appeared before the gunmen. The two gunmen were startled and quickly raised their weapons to fire.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Gunshots rang out, bullets flying everywhere.
Logan simply dodged left and right; bullets grazed his body. The gunmen's frantic shooting was met with Logan's fierce claws.
Swish!
The claw flashed quickly, and the gunman's arm was instantly severed, splattering blood onto the ground.
"Ah!"
The gunman clutched his severed arm in agony. Laura, who was in front of him, seized the opportunity to break free and ran to Logan's side.
"He's faster."
Donald, not far away, narrowed his eyes. Whether it was an illusion or not, Logan seemed faster today.
Compared to when he fought the Juggernaut clone, his speed had drastically increased!
"Quick, kill him!"
After a brief moment of shock, Donald quickly waved his hand.
No one, no matter what, would escape today!
The dozen surrounding gunmen instantly snapped back to reality, raising their pistols and pulling the triggers without hesitation.
A dozen guns fired simultaneously, the dense bullets almost comparable to a machine gun.
Seeing the muzzle flashes, Logan didn't hesitate to lift Laura and roll with her, narrowly dodging the bullets.
His healing factor hadn't fully recovered yet, and he didn't dare to be careless. If so many bullets tore through him, even if he didn't die, he would be completely incapacitated, and only the cold laboratory table awaited him!
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The bullets impacted the sedan, producing a series of deafening sounds.
Logan, gasping for breath, dodged the bullets. "These attribute points are really good!"
He had anticipated this situation before coming, so he had added his three accumulated free points to Strength and Speed.
Although it was only one or two points, the improvement was significant.
Especially in speed; he was now at least several times faster than usual!
At his previous speed, he would have been riddled with bullets, but he had dodged them perfectly. It seemed the slight increase in attribute points was not just a simple addition.
"Stay here, I'll take care of it," Logan whispered to Laura as he put her down.
Due to the anesthesia, Laura couldn't respond, only watching Logan's face with curiosity.
Logan had no time to pay attention to her, cautiously peering out to check the situation outside.
The gunmen were still firing fiercely; the car windows were shattered, and the body was riddled with bullet holes.
These gunmen seemed to understand Logan's terror, opting only to contain him at a distance, not daring to approach.
Logan hid behind the car, thought for a moment, then pulled his pistol from his belt, checked the remaining bullets in the magazine, and took a deep breath, holding the weapon with both hands.
The next moment, he abruptly stood up and pulled the trigger almost without aiming.
Bang!
The bullet shot out, precisely striking a gunman between the eyebrows.
Logan's fingers moved quickly, bullets flying out, each hitting a head.
Bang, bang, bang!
After seven shots, the pistol's magazine was empty.
Without hesitation, Logan brandished his pistol; the heavy barrel, with immense force, struck a gunman on the head, instantly stunning him.
Then, he lunged forward, flashing his shimmering Adamantium claws.
Dodging the bullets, he appeared before another gunman, and before he could react, Logan pierced his chest with his claws, lifting him up as a human shield before charging toward the next gunman.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The remaining gunmen, their faces overflowing with terror, repeatedly pulled the trigger against Logan.
But under Logan's extreme speed and explosive power, these gunmen had no chance to resist. In barely a few minutes, over a dozen gunmen fell to the ground, their blood dyeing the entire courtyard red.
Meanwhile, Donald had already retreated to a hotel room, watching Logan, who looked like a god of death, from outside. His eyes were brimming with rage as he roared: "Logan, you will soon pay for your actions! My men are not that easy to kill!"
Logan then heard the sound of engines.
Several black pickup trucks sped up, and before they came to a complete stop, the doors burst open, and a dozen armed men rushed out. Almost simultaneously, the men dressed in black aimed at Logan.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Damn it!"
Seeing this, Logan slid to the back of the pickup truck, grabbed Laura, and using the obstacles for cover, he rushed back into the room, carried Gabriella onto his back, and headed for the second floor.
The bullets from the armed men behind him entered, narrowly grazing his back; causing the wall next to him cracked and collapsed from the impacts.
