"Okay."
Crystal waved her hand dismissively, her annoyance evident. "Tsk. Whatever. You're lucky it didn't get too out of hand. Otherwise, the Director might've started asking questions." She eyed the staff member coldly. "It won't happen again, right?" she asked.
The girl nodded quickly, muttering an apology. "Sorry, I thought you'd be happy with it."
"Hmm. Remember this. You and I have nothing to do with each other. Do not link whatever happened with her back to me. Your balance will be transferred to you in thirty minutes, so destroy all evidence you have. Got it?"
Crystal gave a curt nod, her gaze lingering for a moment longer before she turned to leave.
As she stepped away, turning around the corner, she collided with someone coming around the corner.
Shock flashed across her face, her breath catching in her throat when she saw who it was. Her pulse quickened, and her skin went pale.
"Easy there, Crystal. You do not want to hurt yourself."
