Synopsis
Elaine was reborn, that much was obvious. In a world she often watched before her death, she felt elated to be in the world of Harry Potter. Yet, as she read the daily prophet, news of battles between the church and fallen angels left her questioning, 'This is Harry Potter, right?'

Chapter 1 - Prologue

Elaine was pondering the nature of things when she arrived in the realm before her. It was devoid of any color, just a vast expanse of white sands and a sky of blazing white stretching overhead. She could probably tell she was dead, and the cause was pretty obvious to her. Drinking so much caffene to keep up with her job, and her hear said the message of 'Goodbye, I quit'.

It was annoying.

'I was almost done with my final project, and graduation wouldn't have been far away, why!?' she thought internally as she was wondering the endless sands, bored from the endless realm and the lack of company.

Well, lack of company might have been a little off considering the piece of mineral that extended towards the endless sky and was covered in numerous glowing characters of what could be esoteric origin. She of course could also see what looked like modified version of binary code and Java script. 'What a weird phenomena' she thought as she saw what she decided to term 'The Monolith'.

She quickly found out that the endless realm was centered on the monolith, and while the areas flowing outward from the center were endless in length and explorability, it never took more than what she felt was like ten minutes tops if she took her time.

She had no idea how long she was here, it could have been eons and she wouldn't know nor feel it, she was a soul and thus she was immutable in the face of time. She decided that spending time studying the monolith, the obvious center for this dimension, would be a good source of entertainment for a while.

She had no idea how much time she spent studying the monolith, and she found it had traces of sentience, answering whatever questions she threw at the device. The complex codes and languaes dotting the surface of the smooth black mineral was slowly unraveling to her, the essence of what could be considered the discovery of the century of mortal science.

The name of the device was Dimensional Fate and Casuality correction and maintance engine, or Dimensional correction engine. It was a device built to essentially manage the entirety of creation and to keep the laws of the universe, and the universe itself running.

'If I read it right, it is also responsible for breaks in universal logic as well' she thought as she remembered some instances where beings broke the laws of the world, or attained a transcendence over universal logic. Her memories were somewhat fuzzy but she could recall any memory she had, and her mental practices made it easier to recall and retain memory. In fact, she could recall various details on videos dissecting the worlds of games like Sekiro.

She decided she would memories the various languages on the Monolith, even if it was just to sate her boredom and growing interest in what the Monolith had to offer.

She had one thought after spending her whole time studying the monolith, and that was 'What esoteric bullshit do you run on?!' She did not sign up to study the cosmic laws and mathematics that made all the worlds go round. The fact the monolith had a formula for causing exact changes in reality using mathematical stimulation felt like she was pouring over quantum physics and high-end calculus books, and she hated both.

Of course, it offered her great insight into what she didn't know about her own earth, which was put into a group known as Origin clusters. Earth, even any variations of it was titled as 'cradles for the cosmos' and the meaning was readily explained, as if the monolith was feeding her the answers she needed.

It now made sense why people from Earth was always chosen to become otherworlders, or somehow wondered into otherworlds like it was easy, and that was the fact earth was considered the center of the phenomena, and it made sense considering all the stories about going to other places, otherworld, that existed like the island of youth or the realms of the Aesir.

Earth was a wellspring of potential that could readily be harnessed through the dimensional correction engine and the phenomena it rules over. Of course, there were provisions in place to prevent abuse of this system, or for it to be exploited if the given situation had to happen, like taking the untapped well of energies from Earth to another world like seifall.

'Well, that was an unexpected dose of cosmic memetic truth' she sighed as she continued to study and wrote notes in the white sands. The sands never seemed to move, even if a strong breeze came by. A bonus of its endless and boundless nature, she could write notes as big as possible and do it endlessly.

It looked like a madman was scribbling on a white wall in the loony bin. Of course, she was perfectly sane thank you, even if she spent Uncountable years alone in an endless white realm writing mad scribbles in the sands.

She wondered whether this place had gravity, and she bet if she read further on the dimensional correction engine, she would find out how this place worked, even if it took a million years. She didn't need sleep, nor food and water, nor even air. She could study it all day and all million years long.

And on course, millions of millions of years had passed. She has discovered how this place worked, and what the sands actually were. Like a certain novel she read, the sands were composed of souls who couldn't handle the cosmic weight of the realm and was compressed into white dust.

While she was ruminating on the enormous amount of knowledge, the Monolith began to pulse and glow, and the characters shifted as it enveloped itself in a bright light, and soon tendrils of a luminous substance took hold of Elaine and began transporting her to the top.

'What a strange phenomena, they better not wander' she thought to herself as she rapidly came to the top of the dimensional correction engine. The black mineral at the top was far more smooth than the rest of the monolith, and it was very glossy.

Then, a section of the top, square in shape, extended out as various characters fill the screen and after what seemed like a boot up period, it began to display a message in bright blue lettering on the screen.

Elaine never had a conversation with it before, so she was a little stunned but having someone to talk to was nice after what felt like millions of years alone. "No, I haven't waited long" she said, the concept of time lost on her as she spent her time here, along with other things of course.

It was a simple quesrtion, but one she didn't answer immediately. She never really expected to go anywhere. In fact, she was prepared to stay here all her life and just decipher the equations, yet there was a small attachment to life she had, and the ability to live again was too good to pass up in her opinion. She nodded in agreement.

She could not believe what she was hearing. A cheat based on the dimensional correction engine. It was unparalleled, yet she was confused on why. "Is there a reason why you are giving me this?" asked Elaine as the monolith answered.

The answer was to her liking and she didn't refuse. A glowing orb of luminescence spawned before her. The orb moved towards her chest and settled in as a flow of luminescence began to infiltrate all corners of her soul, a deluge of glow covering her spiritual body as a great formula comprised of code and mathematical equations formed underneath her.

With the conclusion of that robotic voice, Elaine vanished from the endless space, never to come back for a long while.

"So that's who you chose?" a voice echoed into the surroundings a man of wizened age appeared. A white beard which reached to his belly, and wearing a white robe with a blue sash over top.

"Of course I do, all knowing is one of my traits" the man laughed as he looked at the new specimen and took interest. "Perhaps a blessing from GOD will do" the being, illuminated as GOD, chuckled as a small yet powerful blessing made its way along the path carved by Elaine.

"I cant wait to see your journey play out" GOD chuckled as he disappeared from this space, and allowed the Dimensional correction engine to continue its work in the realm of endless white.
