Once a patron goddess like her is caught by the Black Monsters, her Familia faces a one-sided massacre.
Because when Divine Power is sealed, the stats raised by blessings are locked as well; at that point the Familia members are no different from before they became Adventurers.

Reading that line, Artemis froze.
Rosen was right.
So far there are no records of Mortals directly attacking gods; even the Dark Factions couldn't kill gods outright. Yet the examples Rosen listed had indeed happened.
Gods can be slain by monsters inside the Dungeon.
And any god that dies there cannot return to Heaven to reincarnate; they become mere nutrients for the Dungeon.
Therefore Orari strictly forbids all gods from entering the Dungeon.
This rule exists to protect the gods.
After all, to the gods life on the surface is only a game.
Since it's a game, no god wants to die in the middle of it.
Hence, apart from Adventurers, only gods are banned from the Dungeon; violators—god and Familia alike—face severe punishment.
As for personally killing a god…
Perhaps, as Rosen says, there could be Mortals who hate gods so intensely that they overcome Divine Might and psychological limits to strike.
But Deicide is a grave sin. Even if the act is flawless and unseen, the killer's Soul is still branded with the mark of Deicide.
From then on, wherever gods exist, the God-Slayer has no place to stand.
Moreover, the Deicide will be hunted by all of Orari.
On one hand Deicide is a supreme sin; on the other, if such an act went unpunished, copycats would surely appear.
Eventually every major Familia would live in fear, and gods could only hide under their members' protection, unable to go out and enjoy themselves.
Whether Deicide is possible touches the foundational logic of the Dungeon world.
So, aside from otherworlders like Rosen, locals of Orari basically never think that far.
