Once the call ended, Hades turned to Rosen with a very different expression.
"…God of the Bible, are you satisfied now?"
Rosen merely smiled. "It doesn't matter. Just pray Li Zevim shows up."
Seeing that smile, Hades froze for a moment.
He'd been too busy acting tough and had brushed off Rosen's threat.
Now he regretted it.
Given Li Zevim's obsession with the artificial-devil project, he'd likely come once he heard Lilith was in trouble—but with that maniac's erratic mind, anything could happen.
If only he'd insisted Li Zevim come in person.
Yet acting out of character would instantly alert Li Zevim.
Had Hades foreseen this day, even a hundred times the courage wouldn't have made him strike a deal with Li Zevim.
Nor would he have stolen Dragon Eater Samael—meant for the Infinite Dragon God and Great Red—only to face the God of the Bible.
The former two would never provoke him; the latter was the exception.
Calling Li Zevim back would only raise suspicion, so Hades could only do as Rosen said—silently pray Li Zevim cared a little more for his mother.
Your mom's about to die—why aren't you frantic?!
About half an hour passed.
Just as Hades's patience neared its end, a Death God reported that Li Zevim had arrived in the Underworld via a teleport circle.
"Admit him."
Moments later.
Humming an unfamiliar tune, a silver-haired man in an exquisite robe skipped into the hall.
"Lord Hades, long time no see."
Hearing this, Hades knew they had only met half a month ago, but having long been accustomed to Li Zevim's erratic personality, he said nothing more.
He merely looked at the arriving Li Zevim, a look of relief on his face.
It was a good thing Li Zevim came.
Otherwise, even if Rosen didn't say how he would punish him in the end, making him fly was a certainty.
"What happened to my mother? I should have replenished her magic and checked her condition before I left last time. Although she couldn't speak, her condition should have been very good!"
"However, unforeseen circumstances are understandable~~~, after all, I am her only son, it's normal for a mother to miss her son~~~"
Hearing this, Hades couldn't help but curse in his heart that this guy was truly a scoundrel.
Even with all the chaotic relationships in greek mythology, fathers and sons turning against each other were common, but a character as vile as Li Zevim was unparalleled in all of greek mythology.
Even Zeus would seem like a good person in comparison.
"Eh? Lord Hades, your expression is very strange now~~~"
Li Zevim looked at the suddenly silent Hades, subconsciously feeling that something was amiss.
However, being cautious as always, he didn't find any ambush nearby.
As for the possibility of Hades making a move on him, it was minuscule.
If Hades wanted to make a move, he would have done so long ago; there was no need to wait until now.
"I hope you can still smile later."
Hades looked at Li Zevim with pity.
Although he had been severely taught a lesson by God of the Bible before this, the thought of Li Zevim's reaction when facing God of the Bible next made Hades unable to stop himself from laughing.
This abnormal behavior made Li Zevim's heart grow wary.
Hades wouldn't usually act like this.
Li Zevim stopped, intending to leave this place first.
But just then, an unfamiliar voice suddenly echoed within the temple.
"I finally found you, Li Zevim."
"Hmm?"
Hearing a stranger call out his name, Li Zevim slightly turned his head, then saw a human walking towards him.
Then, Li Zevim's face showed an expression of "who is this guy?", and he kept staring at Rosen's eyes.
"Who are you?"
Li Zevim asked curiously.
He had an interested smile on his face.
The reason he chose to leave the Netherworld and live alone was because life in the Netherworld was simply too boring.
Hearing this, Rosen showed a faint smile.
After confirming this was Li Zevim's true body, Rosen walked out from his hiding place, and with each step he took, the sense of trepidation he brought to Li Zevim grew stronger...
