Blue Star.
Daxia District.
Nanxiang No. 1 Middle School.
Inside a classroom of pure white glass, a sharp announcement echoed through looping speakers.
Dozens of boys and girls in milky-white combat uniforms stood at attention, their faces glowing with anticipation.
"Finally! The Infinite Continent—our turn to become lords!"
"I've been waiting three years for this!"
"Can you believe it? The Era of Lords is starting right here on Blue Star!"
Another student laughed. "Of course! The lords are the strongest beings in all the heavens. Even the gods bow before them."
Someone else added, "They say mid-tier lords are called the cancer of the heavens, commanding endless armies, while high-tier lords can even control the heroes of the worlds and establish divine kingdoms!"
"The strongest on Blue Star right now is Emperor Tianwangdi. His territory can create Heavenly Emperor-class troops!"
"Heavenly Emperor… my idol! He proved the existence of gods with a mortal body!"
The classroom buzzed with energy and awe.
But among the noise, Su Ye remained silent.
---
Three years ago, Su Ye had awakened in this parallel version of Earth.
At first, he thought he could live an ordinary life—buy a lottery ticket, make a fortune, enjoy peace.
He soon realized this world was nothing like the Earth he remembered.
Blue Star had been chosen—recruited by a mysterious space that existed above all worlds. That space was called the Infinite Continent.
At the age of eighteen, every Blue Star citizen was allowed to enter it and become a lord: to build territory, train armies, fight across dimensions, and compete for survival.
This was the Era of Lords.
And the lords weren't just powerful—they were divine.
---
A holographic figure flickered to life at the front of the room. The instructor, tall and dressed in white combat armor, looked at them seriously.
"The Infinite Continent," he said, "is the reason our Age of Lords began. It exists beyond all known dimensions—limitless and boundless."
He paused to let the words sink in. "When you first enter, you will draw your novice identity card. That identity determines your future as a lord."
The class fell silent.
"Novice identities are ranked from G to SSS. You could become anything—a small demon, a martial artist, a saint, a cultivator, even a hero. The stronger your identity, the stronger your starting territory."
"If you draw a G-rank like 'Lesser Demon,' you'll begin with nothing but a monster's den. Your future will be bleak. But if you draw a B-rank like 'Mystic Saint,' your land will be a holy ground! And if you're blessed with an S-rank protagonist identity, like the Young Emperor Huangtian… your starting territory may even be a fairyland!"
The students gasped in excitement.
The instructor smiled faintly. "But remember—your identity doesn't just affect your personal power. It determines your territory's novice challenges as well. A strong start can make you a god. A weak one… leaves you struggling to survive."
The crowd erupted in laughter when he joked, "Finish as a little demon, and even after all your trials, you'll still be just a demon with a stick!"
Su Ye listened carefully. Though he already knew this, he understood the truth behind the instructor's words—novice identity decided eighty percent of a lord's fate.
There were exceptions, of course.
Legends spoke of the Heavenly King, who had started as an F-rank warrior with only a tiny sect for his domain, yet rose to become the emperor who suppressed Blue Star's dimension.
But such miracles were one in a billion.
---
The instructor's expression hardened.
"Students, remember this: Blue Star is not the only dimension entering the Infinite Continent. Many others will join us, and when you arrive, your territories will be randomly placed. You might find yourself surrounded by enemies from alien worlds."
He continued, "Here on Blue Star, we lack divine power, aura, and fighting spirit. Our only strength is technology. The energy you earn in the Infinite Continent can be exchanged for technological advancement. That's how we survive."
"Although the Heavenly Emperor and other great lords have pushed our civilization to the Galactic Empire level, we are still only a fifth-tier technological dimension. The Infinite Continent may one day erupt into dimensional war—and when it does, Blue Star will be a main battlefield."
"So work hard! Only your effort can secure our future!"
The room fell silent. Every student's face showed resolve.
---
Su Ye clenched his fist.
He knew the truth—the energy gained in the Infinite Continent could be exchanged for advanced technology, cultivation arts, artifacts, even divine treasures.
But those powers would vanish once brought back to Blue Star.
Each dimension had its own rules, and power from one could not fully exist in another.
That was why the lords had to grow stronger in both worlds—mastering magic on the Infinite Continent and building technology at home.
---
The instructor raised his voice. "Now, I declare—the ID draw begins!"
A door of light appeared before them.
Excited voices filled the air as the students stepped forward one by one.
"What identity will I get?"
"Please, let it be S-rank!"
Su Ye followed quietly, his expression calm.
Then, as he crossed the threshold, a cold, mechanical voice echoed in his mind—
> "Hello, host. The Infinite Reinforcement System has been activated."
