Chapter 8 - The Prophecy Unfolds and Destinies Clash

That day, as Abesamis glided through the skies, a strange sensation stirred within him as he passed a certain spot at the Diego Institute of Technology School. From the high, windy heights, he descended and landed on a branch near a window of the children's room. Through the open window, he saw two boys—Lorenzo and Jacob. Little did he know that on this seemingly ordinary day… something extraordinary was about to unfold.

Abesamis POV:

"The two bloodlines of opposite sides have finally crossed paths! The tide of destiny in the prophecy has begun to flow… the Aurelions must know this!"

With that, the bird left, carrying both anxiety and astonishment from the news he was about to deliver, and flew straight to Noctaryn.

There, he found Emmanuel drawing water from the well.

Emmanuel (frowning):

"Abesamis? What are you doing here? You know it's dangerous for the guards to see you."

Abesamis (quickly, folding his wings):

"I—I've seen them! The two destined ones—the two fated to meet on the battlefield one day!"

Emmanuel:

"W-what do you mean?"

Abesamis:

"The children of Ignacio and Lucien have confronted each other."

Emmanuel (walking quickly, trying not to show worry):

"Come! Let's go to Juanico. He needs to know this too."

At a pasture where cows grazed…

Emmanuel:

"Juanico! Abesamis brings news that you must hear."

Juanico (milking a cow):

"What news?! You look drained from what you've heard."

Emmanuel (in a low but firm voice):

"Our destined one has finally faced his future rival—Ignacio's son, Jacob!"

Juanico:

"Is this true, Abesamis?"

Abesamis:

"Yes… Lorenzo and Jacob, Ignacio's son—they're in the same school, and they seem to always be together."

Juanico:

"If they've met already… it means the wheel of destiny has begun turning. And it cannot be stopped."

Abesamis (stretching his wings wide):

"I must leave now. I'll return when I have more news."

The bird flew away swiftly. Unbeknownst to Juanico and Emmanuel, a figure peered through a crack in the hut, overhearing everything.

Emmanuel (whispering):

"No one must know this, Juanico… Lorenzo's life is at stake. He's too young to fight."

Juanico:

"You're right… We must keep this secret, even from Ignacio."

The figure peeking through the wooden crack was a black wolf servant—a young boy named Rustan. Silent, he waited instead of reporting them.

Rustan (thinking):

"I won't interfere… but Lord Ignacio must know this."

He vanished slowly, like smoke dissipating into the wind.

In the towering heights of Noctaryn, surrounded by crimson lights and floors etched with ancient symbols, Ignacio sat on his throne. His wife, Barbara, was turned away, absorbed in old maps.

Suddenly, a servant appeared…

Rustan (panting, kneeling):

"Chief Ignacio… I bring urgent news!"

Ignacio (expressionless):

"Speak."

Rustan (terrified but respectful):

"At the pasture… in the old hut… I overheard the Aurelions talking. The… the last blood of the white wolf—was seen by a parrot!"

Salvador (gazing into a vision):

"But I sense no sign of the last white wolf now… this is unusual."

Barbara suddenly froze, slowly turning.

Barbara (slightly shocked):

"I thought Lucien's line was gone?"

Ignacio (raising an eyebrow):

"Impossible! Rustan, what else did you hear?"

He rose from the throne, his steps heavy…

Rustan:

"At a school, the two powerful ones have faced each other, but I couldn't catch the names of the children mentioned."

Ignacio:

"Now, I order you to watch every move of Emmanuel and Juanico… let them speak with the parrot who brought this news!"

Ignacio trembled with rage; his eyes glowed red, and soon his form shifted into that of a black wolf.

Rustan (fearfully):

"Y-yes, Chief… it will be done."

Ignacio:

"You may leave… if you don't want to become my dinner tonight!"

The servant dashed away. Barbara approached Ignacio to calm him.

Barbara (stroking his back):

"Love, don't let anger rule you. Let's wait for the parrot's report on the Aurelions before we act."

Ignacio walked to the table with the old map, circling Lucien's former mansion at the end of Monteverra Ridge.

IGNACIO:

"They say… the mansion is abandoned. Sold. No guards. Salvador, do you see any visions?"

Salvador:

"I don't know… I see nothing about the white wolf now. The last vision I had, six years ago, was of another white wolf appearing in the world."

BARBARA (smiling dangerously):

"Then… we can't be certain the white wolf line is gone."

She touched Ignacio's arm.

BARBARA:

"But if any trace remains… we'll erase it."

IGNACIO (low laugh, aura filling with anger):

"Prepare yourself, Barbara. Once we receive more information, we'll act."

To be continued…

Narrator's Note:

Meanwhile, Salvador, accustomed to seeing visions of the last white wolf, suddenly sees no trace of Lorenzo.

He hasn't had a vision of the last white wolf in a long time… what could the mystery be? Stay tuned for the next chapter, guys!
