Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: The God of Shinobi: Hashirama Senju

Konoha Hospital

It was established by Hashirama Senju himself shortly after the founding of the village.

During the Warring States Period, the constant shortage of medical resources meant that wounded shinobi could rarely receive proper treatment after battle. Many who could have survived instead died of their injuries.

To prevent such tragedies from recurring, Hashirama decided to build a hospital, an institution independent from other departments, with full autonomy.

However, due to ongoing conflicts and limited medical knowledge, the number of medical personnel was small, and many illnesses remained incurable.

Another reason was cultural. Most shinobi of the time valued combat prowess above all else, viewing medical ninjutsu as weak or unnecessary. As a result, very few chose to study it.

After losing consciousness, Kaede was immediately taken to Konoha Hospital for treatment.

As the son of an elite jonin, his case was given special attention. The hospital director personally took charge of his treatment, assigning him a private ward. This was a privilege few could enjoy.

After careful examination, the diagnosis was clear: coma caused by extreme physical exhaustion.

Yota exhaled in relief. He had feared it was an early sign of the blood disease that once afflicted his family.

The Next Day

Kaede's eyelids fluttered slightly before he slowly opened his eyes. His expression was blank and confused.

The last thing he remembered was sitting in the yard refining chakra, the rest was a blur.

"Is this... a hospital?"

He looked around and soon confirmed his surroundings. He had been here once before for a minor illness.

Kaede frowned, trying to recall what had happened.

"What was that blue light? Why did I suddenly black out?"

"Could it have been... the blood disease?"

The more he thought about it, the less sense it made. Finally, he shook his head with a faint laugh."No, that can't be. The disease wouldn't act that fast."

He tried to rationalize it with modern logic, but nothing fit.

"Forget it... wait, my body...?"

He focused his senses and froze.

Then he rubbed his eyes, convinced he was imagining things."What... what is this? My chakra increased this much?!"

The chakra that had once been as thin as a thread was now surging like a flowing stream.

He estimated that his chakra reserves had reached the level of an elite chunin, something unheard of for a five-year-old.

After a moment of disbelief, joy crept across his face. His expression brightened uncontrollably.

Still, he muttered under his breath, half-chuckling. "Calm down, don't get cocky or fate might slap you for it."

Despite his words, the corners of his mouth refused to fall.

Just then, the door creaked open.

"Kaede, you're awake!"

The voice was trembling with joy and relief. It was his mother, Sakura.

"Mom, I'm fine," Kaede said quickly, trying to act calm.

But before he could react, Sakura rushed over and hugged him tightly, rubbing her cheek against his face like she had when he was a toddler.

"Mom, I can't breathe..." he mumbled helplessly.

After a moment, she finally released him and looked him over carefully, then froze.

"Kaede... what's wrong with your eyes?"

"My eyes?" he asked, confused.

He reached for the mirror beside the bed and froze when he saw his reflection.

His once-dark eyes had turned a deep, crystalline blue, so pure and vast it felt as though the night sky itself had settled within them.

For a long moment, he could only stare. The sight was mesmerizing, almost divine.

These were not normal eyes. There was power hidden within them.

"It must be... because of the awakening of the Kekkei Genkai," Kaede said after a moment, offering the only explanation that fit.

Sakura nodded immediately, not questioning it. Instead, she leaned closer, eyes filled with awe."What beautiful eyes..." she whispered."They look like two sapphires, shining so brightly."

Her voice carried both pride and emotion.

As a former special jonin, she understood the rarity and significance of a Kekkei Genkai. The fact that her son possessed one filled her with immense pride.

"Mom, where's Dad?" Kaede asked, glancing at the door.

"He was summoned by the Hokage. It must be about you," Sakura said softly.

At that, a familiar name flashed through Kaede's mind.Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage.

The man revered as the God of Shinobi. A figure who stood at the very peak of power, rivaled only by Uchiha Madara.

Kaede had admired him even in his previous life, a man with unmatched strength and an even greater heart.

Together with Madara, Hashirama had ended the endless bloodshed of the Warring States Period, founded Konoha, and ushered in an era of peace.

Kaede's respect for him was boundless.

Only those who had witnessed war firsthand could truly understand the value of peace. Remembering the chaos of his past world, Kaede admired Hashirama all the more.

Meanwhile, inside the Hokage Building

Yota stood before Hashirama Senju, who had summoned him personally.

The awakening of a Kekkei Genkai was no small matter in Konoha's early years. Each new discovery was a source of pride and hope for the village.

Hashirama sat behind his desk, wearing the Hokage robes, his expression warm and kind.

"Yota, you have a good son," he said with a hearty laugh.

Standing beside him was his younger brother, Tobirama Senju, not yet the stern Second Hokage, but already sharp-eyed and observant.

"Thank you for the compliment, Hokage-sama," Yota replied respectfully, bowing his head. His voice carried both humility and excitement.

After all, standing before the legendary First Hokage was a dream few ever achieved.

"Director Ayako already informed me," Hashirama continued. "Your son likely awakened suddenly, and his body couldn't handle the strain. You don't need to worry."

Ayako, the director of Konoha Hospital, was a member of the Senju clan herself, renowned for her expertise in medical ninjutsu.

"Thank you for your concern, Hokage-sama," Yota said sincerely.

Hashirama smiled. "You should be proud. A child who awakens such power at his age, it's a blessing for Konoha as well."

Yota bowed again, emotion welling in his chest. To hear such words from the God of Shinobi himself, it was beyond honor.
