Chapter 1 - chapter 1

Alex Nicholas's last memory of Earth was the sound of tires screeching. Then—impact. Pain. Darkness.

He expected nothing after that. But when his eyes opened again, he wasn't on a hospital bed. He was lying on cobblestone under a pale blue sky, with the faint echo of bells and chatter in the air. A bustling medieval city stretched around him—stone towers, market stalls, and people dressed like adventurers straight out of a game.

Orario.

He recognized it immediately. He'd seen every episode of DanMachi.

> "No way… I got isekai'd into that world?"

He said it half-jokingly, but the air, the noise, the smell of bread baking nearby—it was all too real. Then a chime rang in his mind, like a phone notification.

> [Rebirth System Initialized.]

Welcome, Alex Nicholas. Your new life begins now.

Starter Bonus: 1 Gacha Roll. Would you like to spin?

He blinked. "A system? Seriously?"

He laughed once, quietly. "Alright, sure. Let's see what I get."

A faint golden wheel spun before his eyes, glittering with symbols—swords, books, orbs, armor. It slowed, clicked, and stopped on one.

> [Congratulations! You've obtained the Skill: Limit Breaker (Rare).]

Effect: Allows user to surpass physical and magical limits temporarily. Duration: 30 seconds. Cooldown: 24 hours.

Alex whistled. "Not bad for a first pull."

He clenched his fist and felt the strength humming through him—subtle, but there. A faint warmth under his skin.

He wandered the streets, learning fast. No Falna. No god or goddess mark. No status board. But his system was like a Falna built into his soul. Nobody else could see it, and that suited him fine. He'd always worked better alone anyway.

By evening, curiosity led him toward Babel Tower, the massive white spire guarding the entrance to the Dungeon. Just standing at its base made his pulse race.

That's when he saw her.

A girl with golden eyes and hair like spun sunlight, standing with a small group of adventurers. The wind caught her hair, and for a moment, it felt like time itself slowed.

Ais Wallenstein.

The Sword Princess.

She looked exactly as he remembered her—quiet, focused, expression unreadable.

Alex realized he was staring. He looked away fast, pretending to adjust his worn-out boots. Still, a faint heat crept up his neck.

When he finally dared to glance back, her gaze brushed past him—just for a second—but it was enough to make his chest tighten.

He didn't approach her. Not yet. He wasn't ready to stand beside someone like that. But he made himself a quiet promise:

> "One day, I'll be strong enough to fight next to her."

The system chimed again.

> [Daily Quest: Survive the Dungeon — Floor 1]

Reward: 2 Gacha Tokens.

He smirked. "Guess I've got my work cut out for me."

As the last light faded behind Babel, Alex tightened his grip on the rusted sword he'd scavenged and stepped toward the Dungeon entrance.

> [System Activated.]

Welcome to the first descent. Good luck, adventurer.]

And just like that, Alex Nicholas—dead on one world, reborn in another—walked into the depths of Orario, a silent vow burning in his heart and power waiting to be earned, one spin at a time.
