'Congrats! You're officially hired and by hired, I mean... He's your problem now' The lady said with an awkward grin as her husband flipped another page of the newspaper acting completely oblivious to whatever I had going on with the lady.
'Follow me. I'll show you to your room' She said as she led me up the stairs and took a left turn heading for two doors at the extreme if the hallway.
'Here you go. This is your room'. She said gesturing to the door I was standing before which had a brown door knob. ' And this is Keegan's room' She added, gesturing to the adjacent door.
Once I had my head wrapped around that, she continued. 'I'll leave you to get settled in dear. My husband and I are off to the office and we won't be back till dusk. So, once it's noon, go serve Keegan his lunch. He's already had breakfast. Then by 4. Set the table for dinner. I'll make sure to call you before then in any case of delay, so you don't have to set anything for his father and me'.
'Okay ma'am' I replied and she gave me a pat on the shoulder before leaving.
I sighed a deep breath before taking my bags inside and setting my room up. Once I was done, it was a few minutes passed ten. I decided to go check on the guy I'd apparently be nursing for the summer. According to his mum, his name's Keegan and he had a knact for running his nurses wild so instead of professional older nurses, they went for a seventeen year old unprofessional nurse. I was actually a babysitter and didn't see how my job had anything to do with a blind teenager but the lady was so desperate and offered such a high pay, I just couldn't refuse.
I got off the bed and slipped out of my room. I knocked on Keegan's door and heard a muffled tone from inside so I assumed he said come in, hence I went in closing the door behind me.
'Werent you taught manners. Don't you know how to knock and wait for an answer?' A voice which apparently belonged to Keegan spoke up.
'I... I'm so sorry... I thought I heard a—' I began but stopped almost instantly when I met his eyes... Those Amber Orbs were nothing short of glistening magnets. I was absolutely lost in his eyes.
