Chapter 15 - Wrong turn

Pramit didn't really know where he was going.

He just walked.

Lyria was behind him at first… then she stopped to argue with a shopkeeper about something, and when she turned back—

"…Where did he go?"

Pramit kept walking, half-asleep.

The streets slowly became quieter.Less shops.More guards.

He didn't notice.

"…Nice. Less noise," he mumbled.

He saw a big open area ahead. Clean ground, no people, just a few stone pillars and a large training field.

Perfect.

"Good place to sleep," he said, already walking in.

Two guards at the entrance looked at each other.

"…Did he just walk in?""Isn't this the inner training ground?""…Should we stop him?"

They hesitated for one second.

That was enough.

Pramit was already inside.

He walked to the middle of the field, looked around once, then just lay down on the ground.

Flat.

Hands behind his head.

"Mm… good wind…"

And just like that—he fell asleep.

A few minutes later—

BOOM!

A loud impact echoed across the field.

A group of elite trainees stopped mid-training.

"What was that?"

They turned.

And saw… a random guy sleeping in the middle of their training zone.

"…Who is that?""New recruit?""He's not even in uniform."

One of them walked closer.

"Hey. You can't sleep here. This area is restricted."

No response.

"Hey!"

He nudged Pramit with his foot.

Big mistake.

Pramit shifted slightly in his sleep.

"…Too noisy…"

A small tremor spread across the ground.

The trainee froze.

"…Did you feel that?"

Before anyone could react—

CRACK.

The ground under the trainee suddenly dipped, throwing him off balance. He fell flat.

"W–what the—?!"

Another trainee rushed forward.

"Oi, what are you doing?!"

He grabbed Pramit's arm—

And suddenly—

🔥 a small burst of heat flared.

Not big. Not flashy. But enough to make him jump back instantly.

"Ah! It's hot!"

Now everyone stepped back.

"…Is this a trap?""Who put him here?""No idea!"

Pramit just turned to the other side, hugging the ground like a pillow.

"…five more minutes…"

Meanwhile—

Lyria finally found him.

"…Why is it always trouble with you…" she muttered, walking fast.

Then she saw the scene.

Trainees standing in a circle.Guards whispering. And in the middle—

Pramit. Sleeping.

Of course.

She walked straight in.

"Sorry, sorry—he's with me," she said quickly.

One of the trainees pointed. "Your friend almost knocked me down with some weird magic!"

Lyria paused.

"…He what?"

She looked at Pramit.

He was drooling slightly.

Sleeping peacefully.

She grabbed his collar and pulled.

"Wake up!"

Pramit's eyes opened slowly.

"…Mm… already morning?"

"YOU ARE IN A RESTRICTED AREA!" she snapped.

He looked around.

"Oh… nice place."

"…We are leaving. Now."

As she dragged him out, the trainees kept staring.

"…Was that guy… doing that in his sleep?""No way.""…Right?"

No one had an answer.

Outside, Lyria sighed deeply.

"One day… you're going to get us both executed."

Pramit yawned.

"Mm… then let me sleep before that happens."

She stared at him.

Then just shook her head.

"…Unbelievable."
