Chapter 4 - 4

The next morning, the caravan resumed its journey.

Ryan sat inside his carriage, watching the scenery slowly pass by through the window. The events of the previous night occasionally surfaced in his mind, and he glanced toward Serena, who was sitting nearby. She had already changed back into her usual noble attire and was quietly looking outside.

Ryan smiled before turning his attention back to the journey.

Now that his memories from Earth had awakened, he had many things to organize. Most importantly, he needed to understand his current strength.

"AI Chip, organize all my memories related to Knight training."

[Beep! Task established.]

[Beginning memory retrieval.]

Ryan's vision blurred slightly as countless memories surfaced: his father standing in a training ground, the sound of steel striking steel, the correct posture for holding a sword, footwork, breathing, the circulation of life energy, and the training he had undergone since childhood.

Unlike the original Leylin, Ryan had never completely abandoned his training. His father had invested heavily in him, while Ryan himself had always understood the importance of strength.

The AI Chip quickly sorted through the memories and arranged them systematically.

[Data sorting complete.]

Ryan closed his eyes for a moment as a large amount of information settled into his mind.

His family's sword technique, the accompanying breathing technique, various training methods, his father's experience, and even the mistakes he had made during his early training had all been recorded.

Ryan carefully went through everything.

His current Knight foundation was already quite solid. However, when he examined his cultivation from the perspective of his Earth knowledge and the AI Chip's calculations, several problems immediately became apparent.

The breathing technique was effective, but crude. It had been developed through generations of experience rather than precise analysis and optimization. While it worked, there was considerable room for improvement.

Ryan's eyes narrowed.

"AI Chip, analyze my current Knight cultivation and determine the best method for increasing my physical strength."

[Beep! Task established.]

[Beginning analysis.]

A three-dimensional model appeared within Ryan's consciousness, displaying his body in precise detail: muscles, bones, blood circulation, organs, and energy circulation.

The AI Chip continuously adjusted the model while Ryan watched silently.

After several minutes, the mechanical voice sounded again.

[Analysis complete.]

[Current Host physical foundation is excellent.]

[Current cultivation method contains multiple inefficiencies.]

[Optimization is possible.]

Ryan's eyes lit up.

"Optimize the breathing technique."

[Beep!]

[Beginning simulation.]

A transparent three-dimensional figure appeared before him, looking exactly like Ryan. The figure began practicing the breathing technique as its breathing rhythm changed, the intervals becoming shorter and then longer while the depth of each breath was adjusted.

The AI Chip repeatedly modified the frequency, rate, and magnitude while observing their effects on Ryan's body.

A faint red line began moving through the simulated body.

Ryan watched with complete concentration as the simulation continued through one version after another. Thousands of calculations were performed in a short period of time.

Finally—

[Simulation complete.]

[Optimized Knight breathing technique established.]

Ryan's expression became serious.

[One complete cycle requires approximately 28 minutes.]

[Ten complete cycles will improve the Host's physical attributes by approximately 0.07 Strength, 0.06 Agility, and 0.05 Vitality.]

[Efficiency is approximately 30% higher than the Host's current breathing technique.]

Ryan couldn't help smiling.

Thirty percent.

That was already an astonishing improvement.

But the AI Chip continued.

[Warning: Prolonged training using the original breathing technique may cause cumulative damage to the Host's body.]

[The optimized breathing technique reduces this damage considerably.]

Ryan's smile widened.

"As expected."

The Knight path had been developed through generations of warriors. Its methods were effective, but they were far from perfect. With the AI Chip capable of continuously simulating his body and analyzing the breathing process, Ryan could take a technique that had already been refined for generations and push it even further.

However, he wasn't satisfied yet.

"AI Chip, continue the simulation."

[Beep!]

"Search for further improvements while maintaining the safety of my body."

[Task established.]

The three-dimensional figure began moving again.

This time, the AI Chip pushed the technique even further.

Ryan watched silently. He had no intention of rushing. The Knight path was his only available supernatural path before reaching the academy, so he intended to make full use of it.

He needed to accumulate enough strength before entering the Magus academy.

The world outside was far more dangerous than it appeared. Even an ordinary servant working for a Magus academy could possess physical abilities several times greater than those of ordinary humans, while the mysterious Magi could not even be properly scanned by the AI Chip.

Ryan understood his current position.

He was strong among ordinary people, but in the eyes of true supernatural beings, he was still insignificant.

That was precisely why he needed to become stronger.

Ryan looked at the simulated figure in front of him.

"Let's see how far the Knight path can take me."

The AI Chip continued its calculations.

[Optimization in progress...]

Ryan leaned back against the carriage as the caravan continued moving toward the distant Magus academy.

He had already awakened his memories from Earth, possessed the AI Chip, had access to the resources of a Duke's family, and was already a Knight.

Now, he simply needed to turn those advantages into strength.
