Chapter 5 - The Beginning of Trouble

As he left, his voice was cold and sharp: "Find out the one who stole my Twin Lion Pendant and Kill that person without mercy! The pendant must not be harmed!"

"Yes!" The guards straightened, their breath steady and serious.

So, someone had dared to steal from the prince while he was circulating his inner power?

That was nothing short of suicide!

"Wait!" Shang Qinghua's gaze flashed with an icy glint as he ground his teeth. "Bring that person back to me alive. I have to make sure that I cut him apart with my own hands!"

After speaking, Shang Qinghua's figure flashed and disappeared from sight.

Meanwhile, Yue Mingxuan crawled out of the tunnel in a daze, his muddled head finally starting to clear.

Once his mind recovered, his thoughts began to move quickly.

His name also Yue Mingxuan and he had been a special forces military doctor in the 21st century.

During a mission, he encountered a plane accident and had no choice but to bail out.

Who would have thought that instead of meeting death or serious injury, what awaited him was falling straight into some ancient world, where his soul took over the body of a fool?

This new body carried the memories of its former owner.

The original body name is Yue Mingxuan and he was the Fifth Prince of the Dongyue Kingdom.

From childhood, he had been sent to the Beirong Kingdom as a political hostage.

Just yesterday evening, he had been tricked into a brothel and happily waiting for his supposed fiancé. But the one who appeared instead was not a fiancé, it was another naked man.

And not just any man, but one with an extremely well-built body. Thinking of this, Yue Mingxuan wiped the drool from the corner of his mouth.

Just now, he… seemed to have… grabbed that man black and big thing…

A cold wind blew past, making Yue Mingxuan shiver all over.

Only then did he realize that beneath his robe, his body was completely bare and nothing at all was worn.

His skin prickled with goosebumps as he remembered that the man inside the room had been circulating his inner energy to heal injuries. With the trouble he had just caused, it would be hard for that man not to have his cultivation disrupted.

Lowering his gaze, Yue Mingxuan looked at the Twin Lion Pendant in his hand. It glowed with a gentle luster, its carving delicate and flawless.

Every small bead turned and linked together in a winding design.

One glance was enough to tell this was not something an ordinary person could possess.

That breathtakingly handsome man must have come from a noble background.

It was a pity he had forced him to break his cultivation. But in Yue Mingxuan's view, even if the cultivation was broken, it wasn't life-threatening. At most, it would cause him to suffer some pain on full-moon nights, but he wouldn't die from it.

Without realizing it, Yue Mingxuan had walked all the way to the gates of the imperial city.
