Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: The Third Person

The next morning, Tokai Shizen was discharged from the hospital, accompanied by Chiyo O.

Maruzensky and Representative Chiaki sat in the Student Council Room, staring at each other.

As for the third person in the Student Council Room?

For now, let's pretend she doesn't exist.

After finishing the documents, Representative Chiaki and Maruzensky left the Student Council Room side by side again.

This left the non-existent third person in the Student Council Room looking confused.

She couldn't quite understand what was going on with these two.

But, as mentioned before, it would be better to treat this person as non-existent for now.

After walking into the supermarket in the residential area side by side.

Maruzensky looked at Representative Chiaki: "You should know, right?"

"Ah, yes, of course. We need to choose ingredients that are easy to prepare. Shizen has just been discharged from the hospital, and it wouldn't be good to make her too busy."

Representative Chiaki, who said this, was silent for a few seconds before speaking again:

"Why did you stop me when I wanted to ask today?"

The question Representative Chiaki posed was the reason why these two had been at odds all day.

As for the question Representative Chiaki asked, Maruzensky casually placed a box of tomatoes into the shopping basket, then spoke: "Symboli Family."

"...Tsk."

Clearly, Representative Chiaki also understood the weight of the Symboli Family, so when faced with Maruzensky's words, Representative Chiaki just turned her head, put a piece of oxtail into the shopping basket, and then spoke again:

"Symboli Family, what a nuisance."

"I wanted to ask too, but..."

Maruzensky's words were direct, but she ultimately just sighed, then stated the most important reason: "Shizen is very worried about such things happening again, so..."

After putting a piece of pork neck into the shopping basket, Maruzensky continued: "Shizen needs a stable life."

She didn't continue to explain, but instead stated the reason for her intervention.

Listening to Maruzensky's reason for stopping her, Representative Chiaki just sighed:

"...You're right."

Both Maruzensky and Representative Chiaki were well aware that Shizen needed a stable life.

Tokai Shizen's child was not even one year old, and her body couldn't handle much strain, so both Representative Chiaki and Maruzensky understood this very clearly.

It was precisely because of this that Maruzensky had stopped Representative Chiaki at the time.

But, even knowing the reason, Representative Chiaki, still very annoyed, frowned and put another box of frozen chicken wings into the shopping basket.

——————————————

"So, you two bought this much meat?"

Looking at the plastic bag containing probably six to seven types of meat, Tokai Shizen's expression was a little subtle.

Although there were still some leftover vegetables at Maruzensky's house, they were mostly unused parts, and... "You didn't buy many vegetables."

"Sorry."

"My apologies."

Facing Tokai Shizen's slightly furrowed brow, both Representative Chiaki and Maruzensky chose to bow their heads and admit their mistake.

Seeing this, Sakura Chiyo O stood up: "Um, I can go out."

"Ah, it's fine."

Tokai Shizen stopped Chiyo O, who was planning to go out to buy ingredients, and took the shopping bags from Maruzensky and Representative Chiaki: "We're having donburi tonight."

"Okay." * 2

The same response.

Hearing this response, Tokai Shizen just carried the shopping bags into the kitchen.

"Tokai-nee, I'll help."

"Mm, thank you."

After Chiyo O went into the kitchen and started helping, Maruzensky and Representative Chiaki sat back down on the sofa.

The two looked at each other.

When they heard Tokai Shizen start cutting something with a knife, Representative Chiaki spoke again: "How do you plan to handle Rudolph's side?"

"..."

Recalling that Rudolph couldn't even remember who Tokai Shizen was, Maruzensky spoke again: "Never mind, she can't even remember Shizen anyway."

"No way?" Hearing Maruzensky's answer, Representative Chiaki's expression also changed: "I remember that guy never forgets the face of someone she's met once, right?"

"This means she didn't even remember her name."

Maruzensky, who delivered the final blow, shifted her gaze towards the kitchen.

From Maruzensky's sitting angle, she could just see a corner of the kitchen, which was Tokai Shizen's back.

Looking at Tokai Shizen like that, Maruzensky just closed her eyes.

Then she rubbed her temples with her hand: "I really want to go for a drive."

"Save it, you. Although you're a good driver, it would be dangerous to go out in this state, wouldn't it?"

"That's why I only thought about it." Maruzensky sighed as she said this, then spoke again: "Never mind, thinking about Rudolph is pointless. Let's look forward to what Shizen will make, after all..."

"Next time, we can't buy so much meat."

After reflecting a little on her actions, Representative Chiaki just looked towards the kitchen, where a faint aroma was already emerging.

Although it smelled different from the specialized meals for Uma Musume in the Tracen cafeteria, both of them still thought it would be delicious.

After all, Tokai Shizen had never disappointed anyone when it came to cooking.

So there was nothing to discuss; they just needed to wait for Tokai Shizen to finish dinner.

When it was dinner time, Tokai Shizen came out carrying a pot of soup.

Smelling the faint aroma of meat from the soup pot, Representative Chiaki looked at Tokai Shizen.

Tokai Shizen thought for a few seconds, then responded: "Donburi."

Upon hearing this name, both Maruzensky and Representative Chiaki turned their heads to the side.

It seemed they both understood that this was because they had bought too much meat.

Watching their synchronized movements, Tokai Shizen just picked up a plate with some rice, served a piece of oxtail on it, then poured some broth over it before placing it in front of Maruzensky.

Representative Chiaki's plate, of course, also had a large piece of pork neck.

After all, there were no other ingredients, so even though Representative Chiaki was a guest, Tokai Shizen could only give her the same serving.

And on Sakura Chiyo O's plate were chicken wings, duck drumsticks, and whole pigeon wings.

As for Tokai Shizen, her own plate had rice with some broth poured over it, seemingly with no meat at all.

Looking at the food on Tokai Shizen's plate, Representative Chiaki was silent for a second, then slightly raised her head to look at Maruzensky sitting opposite her.

Facing Representative Chiaki's gaze, Maruzensky just shook her head slightly.

Maruzensky's head shake made Representative Chiaki sigh softly, then she lowered her head and began to tackle the pork neck on her plate.
