Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 Bounty

Feiyun nodded and continued, "Tell me the exact price. I want to see if it's suitable."

The thin-faced man quickly held up three fingers: "Three million, three million ryo for one eye!"

"Three million ryo? That little?!"

Seeing the young man frown, the thin-faced man quickly said, "Then how about five million ryo, young man? That's not a small amount! A one-tomoe Sharingan in its lowest form is usually this price."

Feiyun didn't believe him for a second. Looking at him, he probably wanted to resell it at a high price to someone else or take it to an auction.

He would definitely make a lot of money!

However, Feiyun didn't care; it was a normal thing. Without profit, who would do anything for anyone?

Feiyun continued to ask calmly, "What about two-tomoe and three-tomoe?"

Hearing this, the thin-faced man's squinted eyes opened quite a bit: "You have that kind of high-grade goods?"

"I luckily obtained them during a mission. Just tell me the price. If it's too low, I'll find someone else!"

"Don't! Young man, we're like old friends at first sight. Don't worry, I definitely won't rip you off! I'll offer 9 million ryo for a two-tomoe and 15 million ryo for a three-tomoe!"

The thin-faced man kept rubbing his hands, enthusiastically continuing, "Don't worry, I, Que Ni, would never cheat a friend. You won't find a better price anywhere else!"

This price genuinely surprised Feiyun. One should know that the bounty for elite Jonin Asuma was only 35 million ryo!

A pair of Sharingan was almost equivalent to one Asuma!

However, he didn't show his surprise, but said calmly, "Two one-tomoe and two three-tomoe, 50 million ryo altogether! If not, then forget it. I'll go ask other branches of the Exchange Office."

After speaking, Feiyun turned and walked towards the exit.

As a loser in his previous life, haggling was something Feiyun was very skilled at. That squinty-eyed man would definitely call out to him when he reached the door!

However, he had just turned around when the squinty-eyed Que Ni's cheerful reply came from behind him: "Okay! Deal! Consider it making a friend, young man! Haha..."

Feiyun turned his head, looking suspiciously at the excited squinty-eyed man, and inwardly thought, "Oh no, I've been scammed by this guy. It seems I asked for too low a price!?"

But he didn't dwell on it too much. Anyway, he had collected quite a few Sharingan during the Uchiha clan massacre, and four eyes were just a small portion.

Feiyun readily took out two petri dishes, containing two pairs of Sharingan: one pair of one-tomoe and one pair of three-tomoe.

However, he couldn't tell the difference between the owners of these two pairs of Sharingan; they were all instantly killed by Uchiha Itachi anyway.

The squinty-eyed Que Ni happily took the petri dishes and scurried to the secret room in the back: "Young man, please wait a moment. I need to authenticate them. This is a necessary procedure, absolutely not a sign of distrust towards you!"

After speaking, Que Ni disappeared into the secret room.

Feiyun didn't stop him, but he secretly became wary.

The Exchange Office was a black market after all. How could the people here be good guys?

Killing and robbing were definitely things they would do!

The temptation of 50 million ryo was not small, enough to make most people take risks.

However, Feiyun had clearly underestimated the integrity of the Exchange Office.

About ten minutes later, the squinty-eyed Que Ni walked out smiling, carrying a large box: "Haha! Genuine goods, young man, you're quite capable to get your hands on such things! Truly a hero in the making."

"Oh, no, no, my companion is the capable one. He's waiting for me outside!" Feiyun said with a smile, still a bit worried about the Exchange Office killing and robbing.

As he spoke, Que Ni had already walked up to Feiyun and handed him the large box: "Young man, please count it. This is 50 million ryo in banknotes!"

Feiyun reached out and took the large box, smiling, "No need, can I not trust you, Brother Que Ni?"

"Haha, good! From now on, we're good friends. If you need anything, young man, just come to me."

A glimmer of wisdom flashed in Que Ni's squinted eyes. "Are you kidding? Someone who can do such things and dares to do such things, can they be simple?"

He might be another formidable character comparable to the ace bounty hunter, Kakuzu!

It was definitely necessary to build a good relationship with him. Not to mention relying on him for anything, just his ability alone would lighten the future business pressure significantly.

Feiyun nodded and suddenly said, "I actually do have some matters that I need your help with, Brother Que Ni!"

Que Ni readily said, "What do you mean 'help'? Young man, just speak your mind."

Feiyun continued, "I want to take on some bounty missions, and I also want to place bounties on some people, but I have very little information. I wonder if your Exchange Office has any?"

"These are all easy to handle. We specialize in providing intelligence on bounty targets for bounty hunters, and as for placing bounties on others, money is all you need."

As he spoke, Que Ni turned and walked towards another secret room: "Young man, come with me. This isn't the place to talk."

"Alright."

The two walked up to a thick wall, and as Que Ni formed hand seals, a barrier door opened.

Although it was an underground location, it wasn't dark at all, and the lighting facilities were very complete.

Two staff members saw the two enter, bowed to Que Ni, and then left.

Que Ni walked to an office desk and sat down, gesturing to the chair opposite: "Young man, please sit."

Feiyun adjusted the brim of his hat and sat down steadily in the chair.

"Which area's bounty missions are you interested in, young man? Or is anywhere fine?" Que Ni took out a pair of glasses, put them on, and picked up a stack of documents.

"Hmm... Let's do Konoha's, the Sarutobi clan's. Anyway, their family is large and wealthy, so a few deaths shouldn't matter!" Feiyun said, feigning thought.

Que Ni wasn't surprised. He nodded and found a stack of paper intelligence reports among the files: "Young man, please pick your targets."

Feiyun took the stack of intelligence reports and flipped through them one by one.

One had to admit, the Exchange Office's power was truly formidable. Each bounty notice meticulously recorded the target's information, with their photo attached.

Hiruzen Sarutobi - 80 million ryo!

Asuma Sarutobi - 35 million ryo!

Sarutobi Jūsan - 9 million ryo!

Sarutobi Kyo-goku - 12 million ryo!

... Feiyun was inwardly shocked. He had to admit, the Sarutobi family members were truly valuable.

However, there weren't many bounty notices for Sarutobi clan members. Perhaps this was the deterrent power of the ninja world's number one family?

After all, that was a top-tier clan with three thousand ninja. Who in the ninja world could compare?

"Hmm, I'll take him! Sarutobi Tsugiri, Konoha Special Jonin, 4.5 million ryo." Feiyun selected a bounty notice and said so.

Que Ni nodded, quickly writing something in a notebook.

A moment later, Que Ni found a backup bounty notice for Sarutobi Tsugiri and handed it to Feiyun, "Two days later, young man, just come back here to pick up Sarutobi Tsugiri's intelligence."

"Two days later?"

"Yes, it takes time for our Exchange Office to obtain information on a target's whereabouts. Usually, our intelligence personnel only start their operations when someone accepts a bounty mission."
