Chapter 182 Touching My People?
Barre looked at the Eighth Prince and raised the gun he had prepared.
Even though he used Nen, one gun was more than enough to kill Sale Sale and the Queen ordinary people with no abilities.
Only then did the Eighth Prince seem to understand how serious the situation was.
The smile on his face slowly vanished, and the two women clinging to his arms turned pale.
"Guards!"
the Queen shouted from behind.
But the First Prince's soldiers had already surrounded the entire area.
Outside the perimeter, the Eighth Prince's guards couldn't even see what was happening, let alone rush in to protect him.
Bang!
A blazing bullet shot out from the barrel, striking the Eighth Prince right between the eyebrows.
Barre exhaled in relief.
The mission his master had entrusted to him was complete.
Although he would die afterward… he felt deeply satisfied.
He had once been an ordinary man.
His wife had been gravely ill.
If not for the Field's family, he would never have had a complete family, never had children, and would never have become a Nen user.
So giving his life for the Field's family was a willing sacrifice.
Barre slowly lowered the arm holding the gun, already imagining the Eighth Prince's body collapsing backward.
But then… a sudden gust of wind swept through the area.
The violent wind forced everyone including the eldest prince, Benjamin to raise their arms to shield their eyes.
"What the…?"
When the strange phenomenon dissipated, the scene before them left everyone speechless.
Barre, especially, was stunned.
Standing in front of Sale Sale was a towering figure, one fist extended
catching the bullet that had been about to pierce the prince's forehead.
Under the blinding sunlight, the man's features were shadowed.
"You gangsters… really are impatient."
A calm, faintly amused voice reached their ears.
"I thought you'd at least come up with something more creative."
Barre finally saw his face clearly
long black hair tied into a topknot, a thick beard extending to his waist, and sharp eyes radiating cold authority.
His outfit resembled an ancient robe, and his tall, muscular frame further amplified his imposing presence.
Even standing alone, one word instinctively surfaced in Barre's mind:
Majestic.
"It's him…"
Several of the First Prince's soldiers turned pale.
They had seen this man before
the same man who had visited Benjamin.
Beyondd Netero.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Barre snapped back to his senses and fired frantically at the mysterious intruder.
But even after emptying his entire magazine…
It accomplished nothing.
The brittle clatter of spent shells hitting the ground echoed like a death knell.
"A Nen user…"
Barre's expression darkened.
Just as he prepared to lunge forward, his entire body suddenly froze.
Because the aura radiating from the man conveyed a single message
Move, and you die.
The pressure at such close range made Barre hallucinate
he saw himself being killed instantly.
"So strong… too strong… I'm going to die…"
His lips dried, cold sweat pouring down his back.
Compared to this man's Nen, Barre's own aura was insignificant
If the other was a blazing full moon, he was a grain of rice.
The man's Nen filled the entire space, swallowing his completely
a total, absolute suppression.
"Not bad… you have some skill,"
Beyondd said lightly, glancing down at Barre.
A normal Nen user, without strong willpower, wouldn't have even managed to fire those follow-up shots.
Across the battlefield, not only Barre but also Benjamin and his soldiers were crushed beneath the invisible pressure.
None dared to move.
"Step aside,"
Benjamin said through clenched teeth, glaring at Beyondd.
He… seemed to know who the old man was.
Benjamin held far higher status and military authority than the other princes.
He was aware of some of King Nasubi's secret dealings
including that the man standing before him sought cooperation with the king.
Beyondd grinned, baring white teeth as he looked at Benjamin.
"From this point on… this dispute has nothing to do with you princes anymore."
"…"
Benjamin gestured sharply, and his soldiers moved to attack.
A soldier obeys orders
even if facing an overwhelmingly powerful enemy.
Boom!
Irritated by the prince's lack of manners, Beyondd's eyes turned cold.
His Nen surged outward like a tidal wave.
This time, infused with his personal will, the aura crashed over them, as if stripping everyone bare in a frozen wasteland.
Forget fighting
they couldn't even steady their trembling bodies.
Even Benjamin shuddered uncontrollably, unable to suppress the instinctive fear.
"You brats… compared to Nasubi Grey, you're far inferior,"
Beyondd mocked.
His gaze returned to Barre.
"And him?"
Without lifting a finger, the pressure alone made Barre's Nen sputter and fade.
He couldn't gather it at all.
Faced with Beyondd, he was no different from a powerless civilian.
It wasn't that Beyondd's Nen truly devoured others
it was simply that his overwhelming aura threw Barre's mind and body into complete disarray.
He couldn't regulate his own abilities.
It was over.
Barre understood that this man's appearance had ruined everything.
With the Field's family's strength and the strategist's abilities, even if this plan failed, another opportunity would arise.
That didn't worry him.
Right now
He needed to commit suicide.
Determined, Barre gathered what little willpower he had left.
He forced his jaw shut, trying to bite his tongue
anything to kill himself before his mind broke apart.
But he failed.
Beyondd seemed to read his intentions and grabbed his cheek sharply.
"Heh… not bad, kid. Quite spirited."
Then he lifted his head, scanning the area with a smirk.
"You're close, aren't you?"
"Don't hide… or I'll kill yo "
Before he could finish, Beyondd's pupils shrank.
From the corner of his vision, tendrils of strange green mist curled upward from beneath everyone's feet.
"Hm?"
Just as he was about to react, a dark shadow dropped from the sky.
With crushing force, a foot stomped onto the arm Beyondd was using to restrain Barre.
The impact instantly threw Beyondd off balance.
His entire arm slammed into the ground, dirt exploding outward like thunder.
A crater split open beneath them, smoke and dust billowing into the air.
The drifting green mist made the light in that corner of the world seem dim and distorted.
Kneeling on one leg, leaning forward, Beyondd looked at the foot pinning his arm.
A slow smile crept across his face as he lifted his head.
"Who gave you permission…
to lay a hand on my people?"
The newcomer bowed deeply, staring coldly at Beyondd
each word sharp and deliberate.
At that moment, a smile spread across Beyondd's face.
