Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 [Lucy Heartfilia]

Water Flow Movement moved rapidly along the lush forest, heading directly east.

Sunlight pierced through gaps in the leaves, forming pillars of light. The air was incredibly fresh, and birds chirped.

Christian condensed his body, his blue gelatinous form exposed to the sunlight.

'Magic Power Perception (Skill)' activate!

The range expanded. Sensing the flowing magic, a large number of magic sources were gathered ahead. "That must be Harujion," Chris thought.

Continuing to move, he finally passed through the forest.

Faintly, he heard human voices, the clatter of carriages, and a bustling din. The air carried not only the salty scent of the sea breeze but also a unique aroma belonging to the port of Harujion.

Christian stopped, his core beginning to ponder.

"Entering a human city in Slime form is high-risk. I'd be seen as a monster and likely attacked."

'Great Sage', disguise plan?

[Solution: Mimicry. Utilize 'Predator' analysis ability. Simulate non-living object forms.]

Mimicry. Target form? Common. Inconspicuous.

The core retrieved information on devoured objects.

Ore? Rock? Unsuitable for moving around. Wood? Too bulky.

--- Human items. Common items... Necklace? Pendant?

[Solution: Feasible. Simulate a metal or mineral pendant. Suitable size. High commonality.]

"You're the one," he decided. Mimicry target: Silver star-shaped pendant.

'Predator' accessed magical ore information. 'Analyze and Appraise' metal properties.

The blue gelatinous form contracted, deformed, softened, and shaped.

His body began to shrink, solidify, and its surface gradually became smooth, reflecting sunlight and refracting color changes. In the center was a silver-white five-pointed star, with a small blue dot at its very core—that was his core's position.

Mimicry complete. The silver star-shaped pendant lay in the grass.

He perceived his surroundings.

Safe.

'Water Flow Movement' could not be used. He lost fluidity after mimicry.

Chris could only roll or wait.

--- A bird flew by but didn't notice the pendant.

Gradually, footsteps approached. It was a human.

A young woman with long golden hair, wearing a white sleeveless top and a dark blue skirt, carrying a bag. Her face was filled with excitement and anticipation.

[Lucy Heartfilia]

[Lucy Heartfilia] has long, curly golden hair, loves to wear various short skirts with Celestial Spirit keys hanging from her waist, habitually complains and writes novels, is proficient in summoning Celestial Spirit Magic, and loves companions, books, and making money.

She hummed a song, walking towards the port, her gaze sweeping across the roadside.

A silver glint emanated from the grass.

"Huh?" Lucy slowly stopped. She bent down and picked up the star-shaped pendant.

"What a beautiful star! Who dropped it?" She examined the pendant. It was silver metal, cool to the touch, but its texture was peculiar, like some kind of gel?

Lucy smiled. "How lucky! I just arrived in Harujion and already have a find! Let's take it as a good omen for finding Fairy Tail!" She put the pendant around her neck.

The metal pendant rested against the skin below her collarbone, slightly cool.

"Wow, I'm on a beauty's chest," Christian thought, a smile blooming in his core.

Christian's core perceived, but his vision was limited. He could only sense the skin temperature at the contact point and vibrations (from Lucy walking).

[Alert. Carrier confirmed: Human female.

Individual name: Lucy Heartfilia (voice information).

Target location: Harujion Port.

Purpose: Searching for "Fairy Tail" (guild).]

Fairy Tail? Guild? Magic organization? Important information.

Lucy continued walking, excitedly looking around.

"Harujion! The sea! Ships! Fairy Tail must be somewhere around here!"

The port grew closer, the sea breeze strong.

Ship masts stood tall, and the air was bustling with sailors, merchants, and travelers.

Lucy walked along the dock, searching for guild signs, her gaze scanning various shop signs.

Christian passively perceived. The surrounding environment was noisy, and the magic sources increased but were clearly of varying strengths.

Suddenly, Lucy stopped. She looked up and saw a recruitment advertisement.

"This is!!! An S-Class Mage...? So cool! Is his guild, 'Dear Kiss' Guild, recruiting?"

Lucy was a little tempted but shook her head. "No, no, my goal is Fairy Tail!"

She continued walking, the pendant swaying slightly with her steps.

Next to the dock ahead, a medium-sized white sailboat was moored. On the side of the ship, "Passionate Lady" was written in large red letters.

A crowd gathered by the ship. Surrounded by a group of fans was a red-haired man, wearing a cape, with an arrogant smile.

That was Bora.

Bora saw Lucy, his eyes lit up, and he quickly walked over.

"Hey! Beautiful lady! Are you alone?

"I am Bora, the Guild Master of 'Dear Kiss' Guild!" He struck a handsome pose.

Lucy was a little nervous. "You...hello, I'm Lucy. I'm a Celestial Spirit Mage."

"A Celestial Spirit Mage?" Bora couldn't maintain his composure, his smile deepening.

"Old man, what rotten idea are you cooking up?" Christian thought to himself.

"Wonderful! Our guild needs talent like you! Care to tour my ship? We can discuss joining the guild at the same time?" He pointed to the "Passionate Lady."

Lucy hesitated. "I...I'm looking for Fairy Tail..."

"Fairy Tail?" Bora laughed loudly. "That barbarian guild? Don't waste your time! We are top-tier in strength. 'Dear Kiss' is the most suitable place for an elegant lady like you! Come on!" He enthusiastically put his arm around Lucy's shoulder.
