Alek was waiting for his lessons to be over. He didn't have any close friends, so he didn't talk much to others. While he was sitting at his desk someone approached him.
''We need to do our project, remember?''
Alek looked up and saw his classmate.
''I remember, Stanley''
Stanley was a tall kid with black hair and long bangs who was another outcast in Alek's class. He had a small group of 3 friends, but they would always think of him last. That's how he ended up with Alek as his project partner.
''We can meet up at my house tomorrow.'' Stan suggested ''We can go there after school.''
''That sounds good.'' Alek responded, thinking about if he would be able to make it to training on time.
Later that day, Alek and his master were preparing to go on the mission.
''I hope this isn't interfering with your education, Alek.''
Alek was shocked at his master saying this
''What do you mean?'' he asked nervously
''I mean, you come here every day. I hope your grades aren't dropping.''
''They aren't, I promise'' Alek assured his master
''You should really cherish that you can go to school. Not everyone is that lucky.'' The man in the hoodie said with confidence.
''I don't have any friends, so school isn't fun.'' Alek said a little sad
''That surprises me. You seem like a very forward person.'' His master exclaimed in a serious tone ''You never have trouble talking to others.''
''That's not the issue.'' Alek responded
''Isn't there anyone in your class that would be fun to hang out with?''
Alek thought for a second ''It's not like there isn't anyone''
They both went silent for a second
''Anyway, we're going to adventurer's stop'' Alek's master broke the silence
''Again?!'' Alek said both surprised and excited
''Yes, It's the best way to get to wherever we need. Also, there is a place we need to visit before we go on our mission. You will see soon.''
After teleporting and walking for 10 minutes Alek and his master arrived at a broken down-looking building. As Alek was staring in awe, his master began to explain.
''This is the workshop. It is one of the most important places in adventurer's stop. For the right price you can get anything made here.''
''Why are we here, master?" Alek asked
''We are getting clothes made for you.''
Alek gasped in shock
''Really?'' he said in excitement
A slight smile appeared on Alek's masters face
''Yes, I realized the clothes you are wearing now won't be good enough.''
Alek was wearing a yellow t-shirt with a banana on it, blue shorts and worn down sneakers.
''We will get you gear designed for combat and exploring. I've made all the preparations, but we need to get you measured''
Alek nodded his head
Alek's master opened the wooden door that led inside the workshop. It made a loud creaking sound. The inside was submerged in almost complete darkness. The whole place was a big mess, filled with different gadgets and materials. The only piece of visible furniture was a wooden desk. Sitting at the desk was a lone man.
''We have arrived!'' the man in a hoodie said loudly
The man sitting at the desk turned around. He looked like he was in his mid 40s with a little bit of facial hair and piercing red eyes with eyebags around them. His hair was brown and short. He stared at Alek and his master for a minute, before turning back around.
''Let's not waste any time.'' He said coldy ''Bring the kid over to me.''
The man in the hoodie patted Alek on the back
''Come on'' he said in a soft tone
The workshop owner took out a tape measure and began to measure Alek. He looked very focused during the whole process. After a minute he put away the tape measure and said:
''The outfit has already been made, but I will need some time to adjust it. It will take me at least an hour.'' he then looked at the man wearing a hoodie ''You stay, the kid can do whatever he wants, but I'd prefer if he'd leave.'' he added in a cold tone.
The man in a hoodie looked at Alek and said ''Go out and explore adventurer's stop for a bit. Come back in an hour, I will stay here.''
''Will I be okay master?'' Alek asked ''This placed is full of scary people.''
''You'll be fine'' Alek's master responded instantly ''If anything happens, you can scream for help and the police officer will come and save you. You have nothing to worry about.''
''Yes master.'' Alek responded feeling a bit unsure.
After leaving the workshop, Alek began to think about what he wanted to do to pass the time.
