Kenji woke up to the sound of gunshots. His eyes dawned upon the people in front of him. Kenji then touched his face. It was different (yeah no shit sherlock), it was much more mature. He could feel his tall feet and his broader body.
BOOM!! another explosion.
"Out of all the places to be summoned" he gritted as he bent down avoiding the explosion. Kenji looked around and he hid himself amongst a pile of bodies. Suddenly his head started to hurt, as he regained the original owner of this body memories. His name was Karl Eichmann, a man who has lived his life completely as a con artist. His parents died at a very young age and he was brought up by his aunt and uncle.
All the tricks Karl knew, were taught by his uncle, and one day he discovered a way to scam people by taking pictures of the dead, of course that was not the case. For such an old world with old beliefs, Karl exploited people by using the old lens which had a leftover residual of the people and made it seem like it was a picture of a ghost.
And through this he lived a good life in the City of Gold, but today King Leon attacks the City for it's corrupted ways to scam people off their money. To hide from the soldiers, Kenji held onto his breath. He covered his clothes with the fresh blood of the bodies and darken it at some regions. He put holes in his clothes. He dug himself out of the pile, before and crept away. He saw another man like him hiding in the pile but, Kenji knew that's the worst place as he hid himself where the fire was devastating.
The soldiers moved forward as they put fire onto the pile. Kenji peeked over at the soldiers burning the bodies, and saw the man he met, burn to death.
It was a gruesome sight, as he cried for help, begging for the soldiers to stop. Kenji didn't look back, he ran and didn't stop.
He hid himself in the ruins of houses and saw many people who couldn't even close their eyes just to rest for eternity. Kenji stopped at his tracks and laid beside a body acting dead, as he was halted by another soldier, luckily he was not seen.
But his steps made it clear someone was there, the soldier slowly walked around, looking for signs. Kenji remained calm and took short and silent breaths. The soldier crossed over his body, when Kenji took a piece of glass and stabbed him in the leg. The soldier cried out of pain, but his mask restricted his screams. He punched Kenji back, and reached for his gun.
Kenji was able to grab his hands, preventing the gun from going off. The Soldier was overpowering Kenji when all of a sudden he used another piece of glass from his pocket to stab his neck and bled the soldier to death.
Kenji waited, as he saw the amount of soldiers walking into his direction. He quickly took the soldiers aside and finished him, with his own knife. Kenji took his clothes and weapons and made his way away.
Kenji knowing he could not expose himself, burned the bodies, killed some other survivors, and made his way to the borders where he could escape.
