Chapter 8 - Reward

System Notification:

Congratulations, Host! You have completed the "Option Two" Novice Mission.

 Reward: 1600 star rubies

 Realm upgraded to Bronze Three-Star

Acquired D-Rank Spiritual Artifact: Cloak of Invisibility

The moment Lin Yunyi received the Cloak of Invisibility, she activated it without hesitation—vanishing from the banquet hall in a shimmer of light. Firefly had already been recalled to her summoning space.

"Mm-hmm, today's performance was flawless!" Lin Yunyi placed her hands on her hips, grinning with satisfaction.

Her Realm upgrade to Bronze Three-Star brought noticeable physical enhancements. Unfortunately, as a summoner, her personal combat strength remained limited. Bronze Rank only improved her physical attributes—no flashy new abilities.

In short, Lin Yunyi was still a glass cannon… without the cannon.

Her true strength lay in her summoned characters.

Even now, she'd probably struggle against a Bronze Two-Star combat-type Ability User in direct combat.

But once she reached Silver Rank, everything would change. She'd begin receiving feedback from her summoned characters—and even borrow their abilities.

"This Cloak of Invisibility is amazing."

The D-Rank artifact allowed complete invisibility and aura suppression. Against anyone below Silver Rank, she was practically undetectable.

Combined with her "Mask" ability?

It was a stealth-lover's dream.

Next came the 1600 star rubies.

"Time for another ten-pull. If I'm lucky, I'll get a new character. Worst case, I'll boost Firefly."

She chuckled to herself.

Then paused.

"Wait… did I forget something?"

Her eyes blinked innocently. A sheepish expression crept across her face.

She forgot to make money.

The landlord had given her three days.

And she'd already burned one on the banquet.

"I should've tricked some cash out of Bai Yuechen…" she pouted.

Still, with her current abilities, earning 4,000 yuan shouldn't be hard.

"Whatever. I've been busy all day. I deserve a break."

She strolled home with light steps, humming to herself.

The Next Morning — Tianhuan Academy

Lin Yunyi arrived early to officially report in.

Last night, she spent her 1600 star rubies on a ten-pull.

No jackpot.

But she wasn't disappointed. She fed all the experience books to Firefly.

Now, Firefly was a Bronze Five-Star powerhouse.

The higher the Rank, the more experience required. To reach Bronze Six-Star, Firefly would need ten Elementary experience books.

Intermediate books offered more experience—but couldn't be used until Firefly reached Silver Rank.

"Too much energy at once could damage her body," the System had explained.

Lin Yunyi didn't mind. The books would come in handy eventually.

Still, just using Elementary books from gacha, it would take over 10,000 star rubies to reach Silver Rank.

Thankfully, missions also rewarded experience books. That was a relief.

Upon arrival, Han Teacher led her to an office.

Inside sat a striking woman in red—elegant, poised, and radiating authority.

"This is Gu, homeroom teacher of Class One," Han Teacher said. "Based on your Acquired Awakening, the Academy has decided to place you in Class One."

Lin Yunyi blinked in surprise.

She hadn't expected to be placed in the elite class.

Tianhuan Academy ranked its classes like tiers—Class One was the top of the freshman batch.

Seven classes total. She'd landed in the first.

Clearly, the academy valued her mecha-summoning ability.

"Hello, Teacher Gu." Lin Yunyi offered a sweet smile.

"Lin Yunyi, correct? I've reviewed your file. You're a summoner, and your summoned beast is… a mecha?" Gu raised an eyebrow.

"That's right."

"Would you mind demonstrating? Just to confirm."

"No problem."

Lin Yunyi summoned Stellar Hunter "Sam."

The mecha materialized in the office, gleaming with power.

Even Han Teacher, who had seen Sam before, couldn't help but marvel again.

Gu's eyes lit up. She studied Firefly carefully, nodding with interest.

"Your summoned beast is unique. Normally, summoners use Ability Potions to boost their summons. But I've never seen a mecha before. I'm not sure if those potions will work."

Lin Yunyi understood immediately.

The academy was cautious. Resources were limited. If Sam couldn't be upgraded, investing in her would be a risk.

"Don't worry, Teacher Gu. I'm strong."

Gu nodded. "From your summoned beast, I can tell."

Then she paused, her gaze sharpening.

She stood abruptly.

"You're already Bronze Three-Star?!"

"What?!"

Han Teacher's jaw dropped.

It had only been a week since the Awakening ceremony. Even prodigies barely reached Bronze Two-Star.

And Lin Yunyi had Acquired Awakening—meaning she started from zero.

Yet she was already Bronze Three-Star?

What they didn't know… was that Firefly had already reached Bronze Five-Star.
