Amanda continued, "It's worth mentioning that his healing ability is terrifyingly strong. After his body was blown apart from the inside by a bomb, he recovered fully in less than ten minutes."
"This guy should fall under the jurisdiction of the Extraterrestrial Supervisory Committee, right?" Thea looked calmly at Amanda.
Amanda's expression didn't change; she only responded with a smile. Thea glared at her a few times but didn't pursue it further.
She observed him up close. Lobo, who was arrogant enough to call himself "The Main Man"—this guy was a famous bounty hunter in the universe, but coming to Earth was his bad luck.
You couldn't steam him, couldn't boil him. His body had reached a ridiculous level of strength. His soul was equally tough—even Hell couldn't contain him. Supposedly both Hell and Heaven had put up signs at their gates forbidding his entry.
Such a powerful individual had actually been captured by Amanda. Amanda was quite capable.
"Does Dr. Queen know his details? Does he have weaknesses?" Amanda's vision was razor-sharp. Connecting it to past examples, she suspected Thea might know the background of this alien in the cell.
Before Thea could speak, the Main Man inside had already started bellowing. "The Main Man has no weaknesses! He's invincible!"
"Is this guy insane?" Looking at the muscular man locked in the metal frame, hands and feet restrained, roaring hysterically, Moira was somewhat taken aback. She'd always lived in relatively peaceful Star City and had never seen someone this savage.
"Uh... This guy has no fatal weaknesses, but I know he really loves dolphins. Right, Lobo of Czarnia?"
The latter sentence was naturally directed at the cell.
He instantly fell silent, his voice gaining inflection. "You know me?"
"The Green Lantern Corps mentioned you." Thea threw them under the bus. Go after the Lanterns if you've got a problem!
Thea thought for a moment. This guy looked like a complete brute on the outside, but his intelligence wasn't low. He could understand the principles of the Atom's suit. Genius-level intellect, knowledge of over ten thousand languages—keeping him locked up here was a waste.
Though he'd killed everyone on his own planet, looking at how even Batman had recruited him for the Justice League of America in the future, apparently Earthlings didn't mind.
Thea spoke up immediately. "Lobo, let's make a deal."
Silence inside for a few seconds. "The Main Man doesn't trust you."
"How about this—let's make a two-year agreement. Use your knowledge and combat power to help Earth. We'll give you freedom, and I'll personally gift you a space dolphin. How's that?" Thea figured if Batman could rehabilitate this guy, so could she.
What did killing an entire planet's population have to do with Earthlings? Not a damn thing.
Amanda wanted to speak several times, hearing about releasing her prisoner, but forcibly held back.
She thought this prison was impregnable. Thea had a different opinion. Under her keen gaze, Thea had already seen that breaking free of his restraints wouldn't be difficult for Lobo. She just didn't know what was going through this guy's head that he hadn't acted yet.
There was absolutely no need to bear criticism. She calmly tore off this pretense.
"Stop pretending. Sit up. Let's talk properly."
The moment her words fell, Lobo sat up under Amanda's tense gaze. The metal rings that had bound his hands and feet snapped like paper.
Thea glanced at Amanda. The meaning in her eyes was clear: See? If I hadn't come today, next time this brute would've strangled you with your own intestines!
Amanda's expression finally showed a trace of panic. With the enemy unrestrained, if he charged out, she—an ordinary person—couldn't stop him.
Lobo broke free, moved his limbs around, and walked to the edge of the cell. Through the thick metal, he looked at Thea.
He was two meters tall. Thea was also 1.8 meters, and in high heels, their height difference wasn't large. Lobo's blood-red eyes stared for a long time before his mouth curved into a vicious grin. "I've killed a few like you before."
That he'd killed deities didn't surprise Thea. The universe was vast—there were always some old gods who fell into the hands of the strong, becoming trophies they bragged about. Thea showed no fear. "I'm different from them. You're no match for me."
"Hehe! You're strong. Do you have space dolphins?" The two of them stopped discussing release and only talked about the transaction's content.
"Yes, I only have two. I paid a huge price for them." Thea controlled such a large neutral commercial alliance. Diana liked various rare materials; she preferred cute little animals.
Space dolphins were extremely rare throughout the universe. These creatures were similar to Earth dolphins—shiny all over, snow-white bellies, swishing tails looking silly. The only difference was their living environment: one in the sea, one in space. All other habits were about the same.
Thea had searched the entire universe and only found two. Now she was planning to use one for this transaction.
A bunch of Earthlings couldn't appreciate the value of space dolphins. Lobo was very clear about it. His eyes seemed to fall into some kind of memory.
Thea's divine power was something he could sense. Lobo didn't know what deities were, but as a seasoned warrior, he had indeed killed old gods—more than one.
Making a deal with a powerful being was completely aligned with his principles.
Moreover, it was a space dolphin!
Still uneasy, he asked, "I just need to help Earthlings for two years?"
"Right. You can't kill people or cause destruction. If Earthlings ask you something and you know it, you must tell them. If external enemies invade, no matter what you're doing, you must wholeheartedly help Earthlings fight." Thea stated her requirements.
Lobo's terrifying face contemplated briefly. His crimson eyes stared directly at Thea. "Fine. I accept."
Thea nodded, pulling Moira back a few steps. The two cabinet members and Amanda didn't understand but also stepped back.
Next, they saw Lobo suddenly punch the metal cell wall. The cell shook violently but didn't break, which relieved Amanda.
However, this was just the beginning. Lobo gave them a full demonstration of what madness meant.
One punch couldn't break it, so ten punches. When his left hand was mangled, he switched to his right. When his right hand was twisted and deformed, his left had already healed.
By his thirty-third punch, the cell finally couldn't withstand it and was smashed open with a half-meter diameter hole.
"The Main Man is out! Where's the dolphin?!" Lobo completely ignored his bloody, mangled fists, grinning widely as he asked about the dolphin.
"See, Amanda? Your cell couldn't hold him at all." Thea first gave Amanda a mocking look.
Amanda felt both relieved and embarrassed, utterly speechless. Mentally, she immediately decided to send the guy who designed the cell to a Siberian observation station!
"The Main Man's dolphin!" Lobo saw she was ignoring him and asked impatiently.
"Don't rush, don't rush." Thea first calmed him down. She hadn't kept this thing on Earth.
