Mark was ecstatic that he have many skills and a natural ability. Still, he was confused at his ability, such that he cannot help but press on that information. Then a new array of information that appeared before his eyes.

Mark froze in his position, taking in the information shown infront of him. The word "legendary" seems like a bombshell exploding inside his head. Base on his knowledge, the highest ability grade in the world is "special" grade and only 10 people around the entire globe back on earth have this, seeing himself getting a legendary grade cause confusion for him.
Is this legendary grade much higher than special one? He don't know, but he was hopeful.

The announcement from the system rang out again, like a mechanical warning about an impending danger. The crowd also didn't just stand there blindly as they begin disperse towards the unknown, waiting for the trial mission to begin.
There were also those that seems know what's about to happen and gathered allies and group up, while other keep on soloing or stay in small group.
Mark also didn't just stand their idly, he begin navigating thought the rocky terrain. Hiding there, while waiting for the countdown to end.

As soon as the countdown ended, the ground started to shake. The eerie and dangerous foreboding started to smashed through the mortal bodies of all Aspirants or trial takers.
Their minds first bear the brunt of this strange power, making them feel terrified and anxious before anything really would actually happen. Like a large scale debuff, making them felt weak and their lifeforce slowly being sucked. If this would go on, they would die without doing anything.
Before they could relax, something emerge out the dried earth. It was a humongous gaping maw – glinting under the crimson moonlight, as it's figure emerge out the earth, and devouring an unlucky guy that was standing under it's massive maw.
Boom!
It's a Massive Earth Worm!
An earth worm that was at least 20 meters long and 4 meters wide. It's outer body was designed like a drill, making it easy to move through this dried earth. With a massive gaping maw that grinds whatever entered it, it cause chaos!
Soon the screams of fear and shout of help fills the air, echoing all around. But other than someone coming over to help – more monsters has come.

As the system notification rang through makes ears, flashing infront of him. He was still focused on the Massive Earth Worms, that was rapidly increasing in number. From 1 to 5 and then to 100+ and still increasing. Causing massacre towards the Aspirants that was panic striken.
As Mark focused on one of the earth worm, that was on rampage. An information panel appeared before his eyes.

Mark was shocked at the information that appeared before him, it's was already at the peak of the Mortal Rank (lvl.9). And it was a special grade monster, which means it have three times more attributes than normal monsters. And it was not alone, they were very numerous.
Forget about surviving for 3 whole months, just under a minute when the trial officially begin, almost half the population of Aspirants got eliminated already. They turned into snacks under these worm monsters – grinder like teeths.
Crack!
An Aspirant within the crowd that was being massacred – exploded with energy. His body expand and muscle bulged like it was about to explode.
"Take a taste of my strength!" The bulging Aspirant, sprint towards the [Earth Drilling Worm] near him, and throw a punch.
BOOM!
The nearest [Earth Drilling Worm] got sent – tumbling on the ground for a couple meters away. It's rough outer shell cave in under that powerful punch, still it was still kicking, wriggling back at that Aspirant to seek revenge.
Baam! Baam!
The ground trembled as it crawl, it's maw glinting under the crimson glow – ready to devour anything on it's path.
"Want to seek death?...Then it's my pleasure to kill ya!" The bulging Aspirant smirked, his arms twitch with viens as he prepares to throw another punch.
Just as the massive worm would about to eat him whole. The bulging Aspirant suddenly jumped up, and deliver a powerful blow at the had of this overly enlarge earth worm.
Boom!
Violet–colored blood splashed out from that massive worm head. Painting the dried ground with toxic blood that melt anything it touches.
Seeing it was still alive and well. The bulging Aspirant throw a couple more puch at it's head, while the giant worm wriggled in agony. He didn't stopped until he heard the sweet ring of system notification.

"Ugh! F*ck!" The bulging Aspirant cursed out. Toxic blood splashed all over him, causing burns and laceration. Making him feel the feeling of being melt alive.
He then sprint away from the site as a lot of Earth Drilling Worm was coming over, due to the commotion. Planning to hide as he got what he wanted – to level up.
Mark watched all of this unfold, and he cannot help but gasp in amazement. This guy were surely belonged to some well know Ascendant Clan, or at least have a connection to Ascendants like got enrolled by prestigious Ascendant Training University that become more prevalent 9 years ago.
The way he fought and act against unexpected scenario showed that he was not ordinary, like him. And his unbelievable powerful strength as soon as he entered the Trial World, give a clue tht he either have a powerful Unique Ability or use some sort of strengthening drug.
Either way, he was not a type of person – Mark should offend, not now, not tomorrow. So he better move away if he ever saw that person face.
Mark was both envious and scared at his prowess. He yearn to have that kind of strength, so he could give his little sisters a good life.
But alas, fate was cruel for a commoner like them. Their fates can only be worse and then much worse, being thrown away by the people you called as parents and move on to live in to created another family while leaving them behind.

A couple minutes later, the gigantic Earth Drilling Worm finally dispersed from their fallen brethren. In which they have eaten until only a tiny bone fragments was left behind. Being too small for them to notice.
Yes, this gigantic would eat their fallen kind. They are barbaric and savage cannibalistic monsters.
As soon, as they left. Mark gone to the place where the gigantic Earth Worm has died and picked up a tiny bone fragments – it's razor sharp teeth.
He cannot help but glance around the area, finding it too silent and sparse of any living being – other than the dried bloodstain left on the ground, nothing would be left to know that a thousand of humans gathered here not long ago.
Mark sighed. But his attention was drawn from the sudden system notification that appeared before his eyes.
