Mortal Elder Kyle addressed the Children.
**Question: Do Unawakened Twin Demons have separate bedrooms, or do they sleep in the same room?**
Unawakened Twins of any kind all share the same bedroom, and Twin Demons continue to do so even after Awakening.
**Question: Are female-to-female relationships allowed, or are they taboo?**
These types of relationships are not taboo. However, for an Estrus or Rut to end, Knotting must be completed, and Knotting can only be performed by a male. Therefore, such relationships rarely, if ever, occur, as no one is willing to share their Mate with another.
**Question: Is it safe to consume Nutri products from Clans other than your own?**
Consuming food from different Clans will not cause irreparable damage; however, it may make you feel queasy. As such, it is not recommended.
**Question: How do you increase your Stats?**
You can increase your Stats through training and cultivation, but Tian Dao will provide more detailed information.
**Question: Can you decorate your dorm the way you like?**
Within reason, yes."
Immortal Elder Lucius then took over.
**Question: How do Teachers help you master the Knowledge inscribed in your Sea of Consciousness?**
The approach varies depending on the type of Knowledge. Some Knowledge is explained in detail, while others receive only vague guidance. The specifics are determined by the nature of the Knowledge, with Tian Dao providing general explanations for these topics.
**Question: Do we receive guidance from Teachers within a lecture hall, or do the Teachers roam around, allowing us to approach them for one-on-one assistance?**
Both methods occur, depending on the type of guidance needed for specific Knowledge.
**Question: Is there extracurricular Knowledge we can learn if interested?**
Yes, depending on your Class. However, Slayers and Twin Demons should be aware that you will be required to learn all Knowledge."
Infernal Elder Caine took over.
"**Question: Have any members of the Heavenly Clans ever broken the rules, resulting in a Trial?**
Once, a member of the Infernal Clan unknowingly broke the rules and had to undergo the Trial of Judgment. Tian Dao ruled that he was innocent, as an Outsider had taken control of his mind, causing him to act against the rules. However, he was required to undergo mandatory mental training to enhance his mental defences.
The Outsider was hunted down by the Slayers and is currently imprisoned within the Abyss."
The Elders rechecked their screens, and Celestial Demon Sky addressed the Children."Not all of the questions were answered, as some were screened out due to various reasons, like Knowledge beyond your age or cultivation. Tian Dao will fully address others after your registration.
With this, your Orientation has come to an end.
New servants will appear in a moment; they are here to transport you to the Med Bay.
Please cooperate with them.
If there are things you wish to take with you, please notify them and they will collect them for you."
He had just finished speaking when new servants appeared, each accompanied by a floating circular platform. Eleven of these platforms were large enough for the Twins and the rest were for the single Children.
One by one, the light pillars deactivated while the Children settled down on the platform, and a dome appeared, enclosing it.
The servants pushed the platforms towards a singular direction as the Elders made their way towards that direction as well, waiting for all of the floating platforms to reach them.
Once all of the platforms were in place, Celestial Elder Soleil clapped his hands and addressed the Children. "Children, get ready. We are about to leave the Hall and proceed to the Med Bay.
We will be travelling by carriage, with the platforms connected to our carriages via a ManaTech link. This connection will allow the platforms to follow our carriage autonomously.
The platforms are equipped with special stabilisers to prevent collisions, ensuring a smooth ride despite the speed of our carriages.
The journey from the Hall to the Med Bay will take about an hour, during which time we will be able to communicate with each other.
Your platforms are equipped with built-in translators, allowing us to speak in our native tongues while still understanding one another.
You will be travelling with your Clan Elder and their Mate. Please feel free to ask them any questions during the trip.
Without further ado, let's depart!"
With that, the Elders and their Mates exited the Hall through a large double door that had opened, with the platforms following silently behind them.
They passed through a large hallway, the light growing brighter with each step until they exited the building and stepped into the open air.
The Children all gasped at the breathtaking view before them; they found themselves atop an expansive mountain range.
Below, they could see lush forests interspersed with buildings for as far as the eye could see.
On either side, the mountain range stretched out, with buildings appearing at intervals.
Above them, the sky was wide open, a brilliant blue adorned with occasional fluffy white clouds.
Behind them stood the Hall they had just exited, resembling the ones seen in the distance on both sides.
Directly in front of them, four large carriages were parked, each painted in different colours and pulled by various beasts tethered to the front.
The Children struggled to take in everything they could see, hear, and smell around them.
Meanwhile, the servants began connecting the platforms to the carriages and organising the Children by Clan.
The Elders had embarked their carriage and sat on the balcony situated at the back, smiling warmly at the Children's various expressions.
They waited patiently as the Children tried to regain their senses after being overwhelmed by the vast, spectacular sight before them.
The Elders addressed the Children through the platform's comm channel. "Welcome to the Nursery Orientation Planet, your new home for the coming year! Here you will become healthy, grow, learn and train until you Awaken. This Planet has a total of one hundred Orientation Halls, each of which summons one hundred Children every month. Currently, one million registered Children are living on this Planet, and soon we will be adding an additional ten thousand Children to this population. There are one hundred such Planets within the Nursery."
The servants had completed the linking of the platforms at this time and had retreated into the Hall, closing the double door as they did so.
The brown carriage started moving, descending from the top of the mountain in a controlled manner.
The teal-green carriage followed soon after.
The white carriage followed after that.
The black carriage started moving.
"Here we go!!
Ha! Finally free of those stuffy, nagging brats! Alright, Bairns, if you want to know anything, let me know and I'll do my best to answer." Infernal Elder Caine exclaimed, appearing more relaxed than before in the Hall.
Infernal Demon Lucifer laughed merrily and waved at the Children, smiling widely from her seat on the carriage balcony.
The Children giggled at the antics of the two adult Infernals.
"Infernal Elder Caine, how big is the forest?" Mark asked.
"Hey, none of that formal stuff! Just call me Elder Caine since we're all Infernals. This forest, well, it'll take about two days to cross from one end to the other. According to the cartographers, it's about one hundred million acres in size. Beyond the forest, there are the plains, seas, swamps, and ice fields. I recommend having your Mammy take you on a tour." Elder Caine responded.
"You all can relax; those stuffy brats aren't here." Demon Lucifer casually told the Children.
One by one, the Children started to relax, chatting amongst themselves and with the Infernals while admiring the view around them.
They had yet to leave the mountain range and enter the forest, so the pace was relatively fast.
"We'll be slowing down in roughly five minutes because we're entering the forest, and the carriage can't go fast there. Too many trees and bushes in the way, if you know what I mean!" Elder Caine reminded the Children with a wink and a grin.
"Can we address everyone by Class only, or is that only allowed for our own Clan?" A Child asked.
"It would be smart to shorten the title only for us Infernals; the other Clans are sticklers for proper manners." Elder Caine snorted derisively. Demon Lucifer nodded emphatically.
"Are the dorms also separated by Clan, or are they mixed?"
"You're lucky; we Infernals are kept apart from the other Clans so we don't frighten them too much. The others are all mashed together." Elder Caine grunted.
"What time is it? And what will we be doing for the rest of the day?"
"Let me check. It's currently half past eleven. We'll arrive at the Med Bay around half past twelve. After that, you'll have a nice lunch prepared by the staff at the Med Bay before we start the registration process. Then, you'll have your health assessed, and the Healers will come to visit you for your Healing session. This will last until around four o'clock. After that, you'll have dinner and then enter the Med tank for your overnight soak in the conditioning potion. You'll be woken up at seven in the morning, have breakfast, and meet your Mammy. Next, you'll get a check-up to ensure you're nice and healthy. After that, you'll follow your Mammy to your new dorm to get settled in before starting your lessons and training. After the Healing and conditioning, you'll no longer need the barriers around you, so you'll be free to move around and explore your new home!" Elder Caine explained what they could expect to the Children.
They had slowed down and were entering the forest at that time.
The Children all gaped at the sights around them while chattering nonstop.
The forest looked vastly different from those on their home worlds.
The trees were larger, and the colours were more vibrant. The foliage from the trees and other plants was lusher and more abundant.
The flowers were also larger and displayed more vivid colours. Their scents were pungent, filling the air with an aromatic fragrance.
Plenty of small animals and birds could be seen all around them, and the sounds of birdsong filled the air, bringing the forest to life.
The Children were so engrossed in looking at everything that they had no time to ask any questions; their minds were filled with the majestic, spectacular display of nature, seemingly untouched by man.
The Children giggled at the antics of the animals and birds, who seemed unfazed by them or the carriages.
"It's splendid, isn't it?" Demon Lucifer began, addressing the Children. "However, please remember not to enter the forest without a guardian. There are still predatory animals within the forest, and as Unawakened individuals, you might find it challenging to defend yourselves. Most of the natural world on our Planets remains untouched because we prefer to live surrounded by it. Therefore, you won't find cities like those on your home worlds. We have spread out our settlements so that we can live among nature." He continued his explanation. "The locations of homesteads vary depending on the Bloodline that inhabits them. For instance, Slayers and Twin Demons prefer cliff dwellings. The entrances to their homesteads are accessible only by air. It features a section that juts out from the cliff face, with the rest excavated within the cliff itself. There is at least a furlong distance between each entrance to accommodate the territorial nature of both Slayers and Twin Demons. Inhabitants, both new and present, will be notified if there are Slayer or Twin Demon homesteads nearby so they can avoid any unnecessary trouble. In my opinion, it's pretty spectacular to see Slayers and Twin Demons taking off or landing on their perches. Other homesteads may be built by the water or within swamps. Most forest-dwelling Bloodlines have treehouse-like homesteads, and there are even burrow-like dwellings. All homesteads and gathering places, such as dorms, are constructed with barriers around them to ensure that larger animals are kept out, providing safety and peace of mind for the inhabitants." Demon Lucifer finished his explanation so the Children would know what to expect.
"Will we live in those types of dorms as well?" one of the Children asked.
"Not while you're Unawakened." Elder Caine replied. "The dorms you will be living in are cabin-like in structure, which is better suited for you. These tend to be smaller in size than the other dorms. After you Awaken, you will be moved to dorms that are more appropriate for your Bloodlines."
"Why are there differences in the sizes of the dorms?"
"After Awakening, you can expect to be at least six feet in height. Now imagine a dwelling designed to accommodate inhabitants starting at that size and look to your current size, you can imagine the struggles you'll have living like that!" Elder Caine laughed in response.
The Children chattered among themselves as they processed the new revelations.
At this point, the carriage had already covered more than two-thirds of its journey.
"Well, we're making good time; it shouldn't be much longer until we arrive at the Med Bay!" Demon Lucifer exclaimed.
"What does the Med Bay look like?"
"Hmm, the best way to describe its aesthetics is as a mix of a log cabin and interstellar design, scaled up to the size of a hangar. I hope that helps explain it for you. I really can't think of any other way to describe it!" Demon Lucifer said, sounding somewhat apologetic and hesitant.
Elder Caine laughed heartily. "In my opinion, the Med Bay has one of the most confusing aesthetic designs. They wanted it to resemble a medical facility but didn't want it to feel too clinical or uncomfortable. In the end, they created this strange mashup of designs, and somehow it just stuck. Now all of the Med Bays use this design. You'll get used to it after a while, though."
"Yeah, you'll get used to how it looks. But you'll still struggle to describe how it looks, without sounding like a weirdo!" Demon Lucifer complained, pouting.
Elder Caine chuckled at her grumbling before agreeing with her to avoid her getting mad.
"Bairns, quick word of advice. By all means, avoid your Mate getting mad, you'll end up getting ignored by them. And that really feels like the end of the Universe if you get my meaning!" Elder Caine told the Children with a wink, while dodging swipes from Demon Lucifer.
"Insufferable and incorrigible brute, don't teach the kids your bad habits!" She screeched at him, trying to swipe him, but failing to do so.
Elder Caine grabbed her and planted her on his lap, kissed her on the temple and soothed her. "I was just kidding, but you have to admit, it's sound advice." To which she grumbled under her breath, but did not correct him.
He winked at the Children, where she couldn't see it, and the Children all giggled at their antics.
Some of them nodded in contemplation, seemingly ready to remember this advice at all costs.
