Chapter 471: The Holy Land Explodes
The entirety of Mary Geoise was trembling.
That Holy Land, the ultimate symbol of "Divine Order," was currently groaning amidst the biting and tearing of fire and ice.
The firmament split open, the cloud layers burned, and the air was compressed into blinding light.
Magma rained down, and ice crystals flew like blades.
—It was as if the end of the world had descended upon the Holy Land prematurely.
"Hsss—!!"
The Five Elders desperately held their ground.
Occupying five distinct positions, the white stone ground beneath their feet had been scorched red-hot, only to be frozen and shattered into countless fragments by the frigid air.
Their golden robes were scorched by the raging flames, and their white hair was frozen by the frost. They gritted their teeth and released their power simultaneously—
Forming a pentagonal array, they constructed a final barrier, desperately resisting the sweeping aftershocks of the battle.
The air vibrated and roared like a drum. The center of divine authority was collapsing right beneath their feet.
Saint Garling's face was filled with fury. His sunglasses had long since shattered into powder, and his eyes were bloodshot as he roared into the storm:
"—Where are the God's Knights?! Where the hell did they all go to die?!!"
His voice boomed through the ruins like a thunderclap, but no one answered.
In the center of the battlefield, the two figures of fire and ice were still clashing madly.
Sakazuki and Kuzan—the pinnacle power of two top-tier Logias was wreaking havoc between heaven and earth.
Their figures were like two planets grinding against each other; every single collision was a natural disaster.
What was even more terrifying—
Their attacks began to "deliberately" deviate.
"Ryusei Kazan (Meteor Volcano)!!!"
Sakazuki roared. His arms transformed into monstrous magma; flames churned and lava poured down, like a thousand volcanoes erupting all at once.
Dozens of giant magma fists plummeted from the firmament. The scorching heatwaves burned the air into a vacuum, and the surface of the earth was torn into burning ravines.
"Ice Meteor!!!"
Kuzan's expression was freezing cold, his frigid air like a rising tide.
With a raise of his hand, the sky abruptly darkened. Hailstones condensed into countless frigid meteors that plummeted from the clouds, dragging long tails of ice. Wherever a single one struck the ground, everything was frozen into a shattered ice sculpture.
—However.
The trajectories of these two devastating forces did not collide head-on.
Ninety percent of their attacks brushed past each other's shoulders, roaring straight toward the residential towns of the Celestial Dragons.
"—?!!"
Seeing this, the expressions of the Five Elders drastically changed simultaneously.
"Bastards! You dare?!!"
Saint Nusjuro roared, his eyes bulging. He swung his longsword fiercely, slicing through two falling streams of magma!
Lava splashed onto his arm, his flesh burning black and emitting hot smoke.
"You bunch of lunatics!!!"
Saint Warcury roared, slamming his walking stick heavily into the ground to release a wave of golden energy, attempting to prop up a second layer of barriers.
But even with all five of them taking action at once, several ice meteors and fireballs still broke through the defense line—
Trailing blinding tail flames, they howled as they plummeted into the Celestial Dragon city below.
"—BOOM!!!"
The Celestial Dragon town instantly experienced an earth-shaking tremor.
Deafening explosions kicked up waves of fire. The platinum-domed palace complexes were torn apart, incinerated, and collapsed like pieces of paper.
Those beings who called themselves "Gods"—
Were currently still sitting on their resplendent balconies, leisurely sipping tea and listening to the harp music played by their slaves.
"So annoying! Who is making all that noise outside?!"
A fat Celestial Dragon wearing a transparent bubble helmet frowned, throwing his half-cup of hot tea right into the face of a slave at his feet, making the slave cry out in agony.
"Go see what that commotion is! It's ruining my tea time!"
He stomped his foot onto the slave's head, forcibly crushing the person's face into the carpet, blood and tea mixing into a dark stain.
"Yes! We will go check immediately!"
A CP guard trembled as he complied. Just as he was about to turn around, he saw the sky crack open.
"Wh... what is that—!!"
A burning magma meteor tore through the firmament, falling with a screech that ripped the air apart.
Searing rays of light illuminated the entire Celestial Dragon district, like "Divine Punishment" descending.
"BOOM—!!!"
The meteor struck the ground, instantly incinerating the entire street into scorched earth.
A blistering heatwave carrying rubble and flames swept wildly in all directions. Gold-carved railings, ivory bridges, pearl domes—all were completely melted into a red liquid.
That CP guard instinctively tackled the Celestial Dragon beside him to the ground, the two of them rolling down the stone steps together.
"You—you fucking dare to push me!? A mere mortal dares to touch my noble body?!! I will execute your entire family—"
The Celestial Dragon struggling to his feet looked back, his furious cursing coming to a screeching halt. He saw that the guard's body had already been vaporized into a charred husk by the residual shockwave.
The air was thick with the smell of blood and tar.
Seeing this, the Celestial Dragon's face turned deathly pale. In the next second, he soiled himself, his limbs going weak as he scrambled backward, crawling and rolling.
He tumbled into a pile of slaves. The chained slaves shivered in fear. Among them, a young girl with hollow eyes slowly raised her head, looking at this former "God."
—And the corners of her mouth actually curled into a faint smile.
On the other side, a Celestial Dragon mansion was swept by freezing air. The residual wave of the "Ice Meteor" froze the entire palace into a crystal-clear ice sculpture.
Inside, a banquet was still ongoing—
Several Celestial Dragons were forcing whip-scarred slaves to fight each other for their amusement. Some were even resting their feet on the backs of human slaves, lazily holding up their wine glasses.
"Come on, kneel lower—this God wants to watch you fight to the death!"
Before their words even faded, the entire palace emitted an ear-piercing cracking sound.
CRACK—
In the next second, a massive chunk of ice plummeted from the sky and smashed down heavily. Those few Celestial Dragons didn't even have time to scream before they were sealed in ice, shattered, and buried beneath the frost.
Their final poses were still those of arrogance, looking down upon the masses.
This scene was playing out simultaneously in every corner of the Holy Land.
The "Celestial Dragons" who had once sat high upon the thrones of the Gods had, in this moment, become the most fragile of mortals.
Shanks and Shamrock led the God's Knights, urgently splitting their forces.
"Everyone, move out—prioritize saving the Celestial Dragons in the non-combat zones!!"
But in this battlefield forged by natural disasters, even the "God's Knights" seemed as insignificant as dust.
The canopy of the heavens burned, the earth froze, and a symphony of fire and ice roared in the sky above Mary Geoise.
And in the deepest center of it all—Sakazuki and Kuzan were still bombarding each other, identical cold sneers simultaneously appearing on their lips.
Their power was tearing this "Kingdom of False Gods" to shreds, bit by bit.
The Five Elders stood in the center of the storm. Their divine robes had long since been shredded, their majesty completely gone, replaced by a fury suppressed to the absolute limit.
Saint Garling raised his head. Those eyes that had been hidden for who knew how many years were now covered in bloodshot veins. He had figured out the Marines' true objective and realized they had invited wolves into the house.
"ENOUGH—!"
His furious roar shook the firmament. He crushed the ground with a stomp, abandoning the energy used to maintain the Holy Land's barrier.
Gripping his fingers, a divine sword as black as the night itself materialized out of thin air.
"—You bastards!"
Saint Garling leaped into the air, transforming into a streak of black-gold light as he slashed straight toward Sakazuki and Kuzan!
At the same time, the auras of the other four Elders also erupted in an instant!
"You are courting death—!!!"
With things developing to this point, they were all old foxes; who couldn't see what the two men in the plaza were actually doing?
Furious roars shattered the dome, and the bodies of the four men were simultaneously swallowed by blinding light—Mythical Zoan forms, their true bodies revealed!
Five world-oppressing auras intertwined. Yet, facing this wrath of divine authority, Sakazuki and Kuzan remained entirely calm.
Standing on the scorched earth, bathed in the glow of fire and ice circling them, their gazes met for a split second.
A silent mutual understanding.
A voiceless consensus.
Sakazuki let out a low, furious roar, his right arm transforming into a blistering magma fist.
Kuzan simultaneously raised his hand, the frigid air gathering in his palm to form twin spears.
"—Meigo (Hellhound)!!!"
"—Partisan!!!"
"BOOM!!!"
The power of a magma hell and a freezing abyss erupted at the exact same time! Flames surged like a deep crimson tidal wave, while the frigid air pierced the firmament like the spears of the Grim Reaper.
The two destructive forces converged in mid-air, transforming into a torrent of death that cut across the Holy Land, hurtling straight toward Saint Garling!
"You—!!!"
Saint Garling roared, swinging his longsword down. The sword aura tore through the vast sky, colliding head-on with that calamitous force!
In an instant, heaven and earth ruptured, and the shockwave of light and flame completely swallowed Pangaea Castle!
"BOOM—!!!"
