Chapter 466: Guernica's Furious Roar
"Tekkai (Iron Body)!!!"
"BOOM—!!!"
The furious roars erupted almost simultaneously.
Joseph and Gismonda's entire bodies tensed up, the hardening aura of Tekkai instantly condensing into a visible metallic sheen.
However, in the very next second—
"Myriad Thunders: Abyss—!"

The air detonated. The electric current acted like a giant beast tearing at the air as countless bolts of lightning poured out from Enel's body. The incandescent white light was so blinding that the entire street lost its color.
"RUMBLE!!!"
Thunder cascaded down. The golden-white light dyed the entire street a pure white. A wave of electricity swept away everything, scorching the air into a pungent burning smell.
Joseph and Gismonda had barely crossed their arms to defend when the high-voltage electrical currents penetrated their defenses like lightning snakes.
Sizzle—!
Their metallic, hardened skin instantly disintegrated. Their muscles were scorched black by the electric light; they didn't even have time to scream!
The two tall figures were instantly swallowed by the lightning, flying out as blackened silhouettes and smashing heavily onto the stone paving, scattering smoke everywhere.
Black smoke curled upward, the air thick with the smell of charred flesh.
Their bodies were stiff, their eyes rolled back, and white foam continuously frothed from the corners of their mouths. Rainwater flowed down their bodies, mixing with the smoke and the lingering crackle of electric arcs.
The thunder dissipated, leaving only the hissing sound of raindrops hitting the ground.
Enel lazily shook his arm. He yawned, a disdainful smirk on his lips.
"Still shouting 'Tekkai this, Tekkai that'..."
"Who do you think you are? Instructor Zephyr? Or that old geezer Garp~"
That tone was so light it almost sounded like a yawn, but to Guernica's ears, it was more piercing than thunder.
Guernica's pupils contracted. The rational coldness at the bottom of his heart was finally scorched away by fury.
—"He actually dared to attack directly??? Are these guys completely insane???"
He snapped his head up, only to see a scorching burst of firelight suddenly explode right before his eyes!
"Where are you looking?!!"
The voice came from extremely close range.
Sanji's figure had practically merged with the flames. The violently burning fire at the tip of his foot flowed backward through the rain, turning into a blazing crimson trajectory that howled through the air, aimed straight at Guernica's face!
"Diable Jambe: Joue Shoot!!!"
A violent explosion cracked through the air, the friction between the flames and the atmosphere generating a high-temperature airwave.
Carrying searing flames and astonishing speed, that kick smashed heavily into Guernica's mask!
"BAM—!!!"
Firelight exploded.
The power of that kick was like the strike of an iron hammer. Mixed with extreme heat and impact, it forcibly sent Guernica flying!
CRACK—!!
He crashed through two wooden tables and smashed heavily into a stone wall, shattered bricks and stones splashing up alongside the rainwater.
Half of his mask was scorched black by the flames, splitting open with a hideous crack to reveal his tightly clenched teeth and a badly burned cheek.
He struggled to prop himself up, his knees trembling and his breathing ragged. Drops of blood fell from the corner of his mouth, washing away in the rain.
"You... you are—openly defying the World Government!!!"
Guernica roared hoarsely, his tone a mix of anger, humiliation, and a trace of unconcealable fear.
"I was ordered by the Five Elders to investigate the intelligence in Kano Country!!!"
"You actually dared to attack CP0?! This is a provocation against the world order!!!"
He managed to stand up straight with great difficulty, pointing at the indifferent figures ahead of him. Rainwater and blood slid down his face, his eyes flashing with furious light.
"Are you truly not afraid—of the Five Elders' wrath?!!"
However, responding to him—was only silence and contempt.
Enel looked down, adjusting the lightning roaming around his golden rings, occasional electrical arcs sparking from his fingertips.
Sanji put a fresh cigarette in his mouth, the ember flickering in the dark.
Usopp's sniper rifle glinted with a cold light, and Kujaku's steel whip swayed gently. None of them spoke a word.
In the night, the rainwater fell onto the stone paving with crisp sounds.
That silence, however, was far more oppressive than any fury.
Guernica's chest heaved violently, his breathing nearly spiraling out of control.
For the first time, he realized—
The group of people in front of him simply didn't care about the majesty of the World Government. They were declaring a new order directly to the "Celestial Dragons" themselves.
Guernica's roar echoed through the rainy night, his voice trembling yet still stubborn.
However, in the very next second—
A deep, boiling hot aura suddenly surged from behind him.
It was a heat that made the soul tremble.
The air felt as if it had been scorched dry; even the rainwater evaporated into a thin mist before it could hit the ground.
Guernica's body abruptly froze.
His breathing grew chaotic. A searing pain radiated from his spine, as if magma was slowly crawling up his skin.
—An overwhelming, oppressive pressure swept over him.
That presence was heavier than thunder, fiercer than fire, and closer than death.
He turned his head with immense difficulty.
He saw a tall silhouette walking out of the thick fog at the end of the street. His footsteps were steady, carrying an earth-shaking rhythm.
It was a man as massive as a mountain. His Marine cap was pulled low, and his Justice coat whipped fiercely in the ash-laden wind.
With every step he took, the stone bricks beneath his feet were branded with deep scorch marks by the extreme heat, and the air twisted and vibrated around him.
"Oh—and then?"
The voice was deep, carrying a heavy weight like churning magma.
Just those few simple words made Guernica's heart pound like a drum, his knees going weak.
He shuddered, genuine fear surfacing in his eyes for the very first time.
—"Admiral Akainu, Sakazuki."
Sakazuki stood before him, looking down condescendingly at this World Government agent. The corners of his mouth curled up slightly, revealing an utterly indifferent smile.
"Come to think of it," he spoke softly,
"That order forbidding me from going to Hachinosu before... it seems it came down from 'your' side, didn't it?"
Guernica opened his mouth, only to find his throat felt blocked by something. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't make a sound.
Sakazuki raised his hand.
That arm of his—was already covered in magma, churning like a living hell.
The lava gathered in his palm, the light blindingly bright, as heatwaves swept through the entire alleyway.
The rain was completely evaporated.
"I... have kept that in mind this whole time."
"BOOM—!!!"
The magma erupted!
A mass of searing red light swallowed the night, turning the alleyway into a stretch of crimson.
Stone bricks melted, the wind swept up ashes and debris, and the entire night sky of Kano Country seemed to ignite.
Between heaven and earth, only that overwhelming red light and deafening roar remained.
Half an hour later, outer seas of Kano Country—
A warship sailed slowly through the thin mist, its flag snapping in the wind. The white Justice flag, symbol of the Marines, fluttered in the morning breeze.
On the deck, Sakazuki stood at the bow, his cape still radiating residual heat.
His expression was stern, his eyes locked onto the horizon ahead.
Enel leaned lazily against the railing, his hands resting behind his head, his lightning rings floating casually by his side.
"I thought you were going to melt that guy directly into a puddle~"
Sakazuki let out a cold snort, a steady, deep rumble emanating from his chest.
"Soon enough."
In the distance, the wind stirred up ocean waves. Sunlight pierced through the clouds, reflecting off the word "Justice" on the warship.
