The sound of explosions roared through the streets!
Urouge's fists smashed down like falling meteors, while Capone Bege, in his tank form, unleashed a full barrage of artillery fire. Yet, the air between them was torn apart by the sheer force of the collision.
CRACK! CRUNCH—!
The thick steel plating of the tank armor buckled and split, sparks and shrapnel flying in every direction.
"This guy... he's covered in wounds, yet the power in his fists is getting stronger?!" Bege snarled from within his fortress.
Urouge let out a wild, toothy grin. Blood flowed incessantly from the gashes across his body, but his muscles continued to swell, his battle intent burning like a wildfire.
"Karmic Retribution—the greater the pain, the greater the strength!!!"
"BOOM!!"
He violently lashed out with a heavy kick, bending Bege's tank cannon barrels into scrap metal. The iron groaned as sparks showered the pavement.
Bege let out a curse and began to pivot his remaining turrets, preparing to fire once more—
SWISH!
A crimson blur flashed across the battlefield like a bolt of lightning!
BANG!
Urouge's ten-meter-tall frame was sent flying by a single punch, crashing into the massive roots of a Yarukiman Mangrove in the distance. The trunk exploded, sending wood chips flying like shrapnel!
Bege's pupils shrank, his cannons freezing in mid-air. "Who's there?!"
From the billowing dust, a figure slowly emerged.
His body was covered in shimmering pink dragon scales. Sharp claws were wreathed in pitch-black Armament Haki, and a long dragon tail lashed against the ground, shattering the cobblestones with every flick.
—Mythical Zoan · Hybrid Form · Luffy!
Urouge struggled to his feet amidst the rubble, coughing up blood as his chest heaved. He stared intensely at the figure radiating a massive, oppressive aura.
"This pressure... what kind of monster is this?!"
But in the next heartbeat, his eyes turned feral with excitement, and a maniacal grin hooked his lips. "Hahahaha!!! An interesting opponent!!!"
Luffy shook out his knuckles, his dragon tail thumping the ground eagerly. "Oh? You can still stand after taking one of my hits?"
His dragon pupils locked onto Urouge as he bared his teeth. "Let's go again!!!"
SWISH!
Luffy vanished. A second later, he was right in Urouge's face, a Haki-clad dragon claw blasting forward!
"BOOM!!!"
Urouge let out a roar, crossing his massive arms to block. The stones beneath his feet disintegrated instantly as he was forced back dozens of meters by the raw power.
CRACK-CRACK-CRACK!!
The ground was plowed into two deep trenches, dust and debris shooting into the sky!
Urouge's forearms were a mess of torn muscle and blood, but his eyes were crazier than ever!
"Karmic Retribution: Agony Amplification—!!!"
His body expanded once more, his muscles bulging like jagged rocks. His blood vaporized into steam from the sheer heat of his body, and his wounds seemingly knit themselves back together in an instant!
Tearing through the air with killing intent, he charged again, laughing wildly. "Your fists... hit me harder! The harder the better!!!"
Facing the rampaging giant, Luffy's dragon eyes flashed. The entire block shook as the two clashed with a shockwave of pure willpower!
Watching the two humanoid monsters brawl in the distance, Bege cursed under his breath. "Lunatics," he thought, quietly preparing to use the chaos to make his escape.
However—
VROOM—
The sky suddenly darkened. A massive shadow loomed over him.
Bege's pupils constricted. He looked up to see thick, heavy thunderclouds churning above, with bolts of lightning coiling through them like crazed dragons.
Standing atop a wisp of pure white cloud was Nami. Her long, slender legs were poised confidently, her orange hair fluttering in the gale, and her gaze was as cold as frost.
She raised a delicate hand, her voice piercing through the thunder:
"Thundercloud: HEAVENLY STRIKE!!!"
"BOOM!!!"
A blinding pillar of lightning tore through the sky, striking Bege's armored tank form with pinpoint accuracy!
ZZZZZT—!!!
High-voltage current surged through the steel. The smell of ozone and charred metal filled the air as the tank barrels crackled with electricity.
"ARGHHHH!!!"
Bege's roar echoed from within his thick armor. He gnashed his teeth, his eyes bloodshot with fury.
"Don't look down on me! You damned Marine!!!"
His rage fully ignited, Bege swung his arms, activating the full power of his Castle-Castle Fruit.
"Castle: FULL BLAST!!!"
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG—!!!!
Dozens of cannon muzzles and machine guns erupted from his body, firing frantically. A storm of bullets and shells poured out, aiming to swallow Nami whole!
But in the next second, Nami's figure turned ethereal amidst the fire. The projectiles passed right through her, leaving behind only tattered remnants of mist.
Bege's heart tightened, cold sweat sliding down his brow. "A Logia...?! No, the Cloud-Cloud Fruit!!"
SWISH!!!
The mist coalesced, and Nami reappeared in the air. Her eyes were icy as she unleashed a powerful horizontal kick!
"Wind-Cloud: TORNADO TEMPEST!!!"
SHING-SHING-SHING—!!!
The high-speed rotating clouds transformed into razor-sharp vacuum blades. Like a pack of howling wind dragons, they tore into Bege's iron hull.
CRUNCH-CRACK-CRUNCH—!!!
The thick iron plating was shredded like paper. Massive chunks of armor peeled away, scattering across the street in a shower of scrap metal.
"DAMN YOU!!!"
Bege roared in a frenzy. With his veins bulging, he finally discarded all restraint!
"Castle: BIG FATHER!!!"
"RUMBLE-RUMBLE—!!!"
The earth split open. His body swelled abruptly, rising from the ground like a fortress mountain, transforming into an eighty-meter-tall steel golem weighing over five hundred tons!
The entire district was plunged into shadow. Marine soldiers and civilians alike looked up in abject horror.
A massive fist, like a collapsing peak, whistled through the air toward Nami. "DIE!!!"
But just as the fist was about to land—
"BOOM!!!"
A massive silhouette was hurled through the air, smashing heavily into Bege's arm and torso!
The sheer momentum forced the "Big Father" form to stagger back dozens of steps, crushing the street beneath it and snapping the roots of the mangroves!
"WHAT?!!"
Bege stared down in shock. Tangled in the wreckage of his own arm was a battered, unconscious Urouge!
"You bastard! How did this guy... get thrown here?!"
He looked up, fury and shock warring in his eyes.
Amidst the ruins in the distance, pink dragon scales shimmered with a crimson glow. Luffy shook out his wrist and let out a cheeky grin.
"Sorry~ my hand slipped!"
The veins on Bege's forehead pulsed. The massive steel giant thrashed in the ruins, his eyes blood-red. "You two bastards..."
However, high above, Nami had already clasped her hands together. Her entire aura shifted.
The clouds beneath her feet expanded at a dizzying speed, spinning into a massive atmospheric vortex. Lightning flickered within, and frost began to crystallize on the edges of the mist.
She looked down, her voice cold and commanding: "Cloud-Cloud: NATURAL DISASTER PRISON!!!"
"RUMBLE—!!!"
The sky turned into a pitch-black ocean of wrath. The white clouds became a crushing canopy as the devastating powers were unleashed one by one:
Thundercloud Retribution: Lightning pillars meters wide blasted down like divine punishment, piercing through the "Big Father" armor.
Frozen Cloud River: Arctic-level mist descended, freezing the street and forcing cracks into Bege's stone-and-steel walls.
Hurricane Blades: Clouds condensed into violent cyclones, sharp as blades, picking up debris and turning it into a meat grinder of shrapnel.
Corrosive Acid Rain: A milky-white acidic downpour melted the steel surface of the castle on contact, white smoke hissing as the metal dissolved.
CRACK-CRUNCH-BOOM—!!!
The "Big Father" form collapsed piece by piece under the elemental onslaught. Thick iron plating fell away, and the massive treads snapped. Bege's roars were eventually swallowed by the roar of the storm!
"AAAAAAAAAAGH!!!"
All around the street, the populace and the Marines stood slack-jawed, staring up at the sky dominated by the sea of clouds.
In the distance, Luffy wiped a bead of cold sweat from his brow and chuckled. "Wow... Nami's gotten really scary!"
When the storm finally subsided and the clouds dispersed, the commercial street had been reduced to a scorched, frozen, and melted ruin.
Bege had reverted to his human form. Charred and tattered, he lay half-buried in the rubble, his chest heaving. His extinguished cigar fell from his mouth. His eyes were vacant as he muttered, "You've got... to be kidding... me..."
"How can the Marines... be this strong..."
Nami descended slowly from the mist, her long legs steady as she touched the ground. The swirling air around her finally went still.
She looked down at the half-dead Bege and the unconscious Urouge, letting out a soft hmph. "Supernovas?"
"Nothing special~"
Luffy walked over, casually poking Bege's cheek with a grin. "Still alive?"
Bege struggled to open his eyes. Seeing the grinning face of the "Flame Dragon" inches from his own, his pupils shrank, and he promptly passed out.
In the distance, the synchronized sound of footsteps approached as the Marine reinforcements arrived.
Nami stretched and said softly, "Let's go. Time to regroup with Uncle Smoker."
Luffy laughed heartily. "Oh!! Let's leave these guys for the old man to deal with!"
